A SMALL FLOATING LIGHT WAS BEING
held by a tan skinned hand, the other holding a owl staff, walking into a cave with her eyebrows frowning.

The girl gasped as she heard a evil, deep laugh. Looking at the wall, it was a giant shadow of a monster, it had long tall horns with claws, it looked hairy.

"Foolish child. Leave this place before you meet your demise." It said in a deep voice.

"Do not underestimate me, Garlog. For I am the good witch, Luz, hunter of monsters." The Latina girl said emotionally, as wind blew beside her, making the sense more dramatic.

"NOW eat this, SUCKER—" the girl said on her knees, her staff on her shoulder as she looks at the monster with no fear.

"Uh... what?" The girl stopped as she spotted that the monster was actually just a tiny little... demon? With a lantern, making it seem scary and big when in reality is the opposite.

The demon noticed that they have been spotted, it quickly ran, squeaking a bit as the girl grabs them by the neck at the back.

"You're Garlog?" She said softly as she places the staff supporting by a stone wall, reaching in her hoodie as she grabs a small poster that's rolled up and unrolls it, showing the little demon in her hand but way bigger and scarier.

The girl looked annoyed, sighing "This is pathetic."

She said as the demon said something in her hand.

"Small I may be but you will soon know fear when I lay waste to all that you—" it said as a little cute demon with pink eyes ate the whole demon in one bite.

"King, drop it now." The girl said to King, which who seem to plan to not drop the demon out of his mouth. Luz swags her hand, making King land on the floor on his paws, his tail wiggles as Luz kept warning him to drop the demon.

King laughed, running around happily as she was chasing him down.

"No! I'm not gonna play right now, KING!" The girl yelled, running after the small demon.

SEPARATE TIDES

The little demon was being put in a bottle, it babbles as Luz boops it and it became quite.

The bottle was used as a phone holder, the girl taps the record button as she quickly sits down after that.

"Halo mama! You haven't heard from me in a while. Is been a week and a half since the petrification ceremony. A week and a half since I..." Luz started, playing with her fingers after that last sentence.

She laughed nervously, "destroyed the portal home." She took a deep breath then continued.

"I had to, Emperor Belos was going to kill Eda if I didn't hand it over! But I couldn't let him use it, so I blew it up with some...magic..fire?..." she smiled awkwardly while looking at the other side of the camera.

Luz rubs her forehead with her two fingers, "She's not gonna understand any of this. That's okay, Luz. Just keep moving forward." She stopped as she cheers herself by telling herself to move forward from the bad news.

"This world is filled with inexplicable magical wonders, like this portal key," She said excitedly, taking out a key from her shorts pocket, a normal looking key with an yellow eyeball on it.

"I don't know if it contains magic but," She said, looking closer to the key every word.

"I'm gonna study all I can and find a way back to you." She said cheerfully, her face frowns a bit as she smiles bitterly.

"A-and look! I have friends to help me." Luz stuttered a bit, as she lifts up her leg, showing King hugging onto her leg while his eyes closed.

"I'm never letting you go! You're never returning to the human realm!" He said firmly, as Luz smiled awkwardly.

"He doesn't mean that." She said, her hand reaching for her phone to stop the camera.

"YES I DO!" King yelled before the scene was switched.

"This is Eda the owl lady," she said as Eda was having small lights that's trails after her fingers, swirling around herself as she seem focused.

"The most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles!" Luz said as Eda points her finger with a small lighting to the 'APPLE BLOOD" green jar, a cup in front of it as the magic seems to be doing nothing.

"Or at least she was." Luz said awkwardly. "Until her curse overpowered her and weakened her magic." Eda's magic was finally working as the jar was glowing in gold as it floats to the cup, but as she was about to succeed, it exploded. Woo.

"She's doing her best now." Luz said as Eda blinks with Apple blood all over the area and herself, and it was switched to another person.

"Eda was cursed by her own sister, Lilith." Luz said, moving the camera to her as she was outing out her old grey dress in the box, as then sits herself the window next to her, looking into the sky with a frowning face.

"And she spent her entire life looking for a way to undo it." The camera zooms in, "it's still hard for everyone to trust each other, but maybe with time we can all become friends." Lilith smiled sadly as she melts her thoughts into the sky.

"HELLO!" The famous bird worm, Hooty comes in and scared Lilith out of her thoughts, slapping the window door in Hooty's face, making Hooty having a funny face. The scene was switched again.

"Even though Eda gets frustrated, she's found new ways to make up for her lost powers." Eda finished as she grabs her big arrow that she made by herself and looks to Luz's camera.

"Check it, Luz. A new hunting weapon! I will call her... the Stab-Catcher." Eda said happily, as she plays with it.

"Without the portal, Eda has no human garbage to sell. So we've resorted to working odd jobs to keep food on the table." Eda looks around with her so called 'Stab-Catcher', as she spots king.

"Hey King, did you know that Apple is a hat?" Eda lies as King picks up the Apple and puts it on his head. "Really?!" He questioned, as Eda was about to throw her project to King's Apple on his head.

"King, No! King!" Luz drops her phone quickly as she went to grab King out of the way as Eda throws her project to the board behind instead, along with her disconnected hands on it.

"This week we're bounty hunters, next week we could be anything." The camera shows back to Luz again.

"So mom, please don't be scared. I'm growing more and more everyday, and I'm gonna do my best to become a full-fledged witch, and get home to you safe and sound." She holds out her 'weak nerd arms' as she holds onto her muscle.

"Te quiero, mama. Te lo prometo regressrã a casa pronto." She whispered a sentence of Spanish as she ends the recording.

She finished as she sent it out, but a error shows up, showing that the video could not be sent.

Luz frowns as her attention was caught by the sound of Eda shouting her name outside.

She looks out her window as she see Eda and Lilith
on the cart with bags all in the back.

"Time to bring these bad boys to the market!" She screams as she holds out a bottle with a little monster on it, the highest bag was moving and wigging.

Lilith grunts when she saw the feathers on her arm, brushing them off aggressively. "Eda, do you own anything that isn't cover in feathers?!" Eda turns to her sister, "I had to deal with the curse for 30 years, so I think you can handle a few feathers." She said.

A statue of Belos was showed, standing in the middle of the town proudly, as the guards are everywhere.

"Wow, the Emperor is really taking over." Luz said, looking around the guards. "I see it too, Luz. And I'm trying to stay civil." She said as she kicks a guy that is a Belos stan.

She puts the bag that's over her shoulder on the weight, as the demon gave her a payment which is, "A single snail?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" Eda yells, as the demon seller chuckles.

"Oh I'm sorry, I wasn't done yet." They break the snail into half as Eda yells. "You can't do this to ME! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM??" "Yeah you're Eda the owl lady, what are you gonna do? We all know you're powerless now." They said as Eda growls, drawing a big yellow circle as it disappears after she puts her hand through it. "What the—"

Everyone was talking and whispering about what just happened, "I don't need your pity! I was the MOST wanted criminal for YEARS! You should fear me." She said as the trash person comes and grabs the paper and put it in the trash.

Everyone was saying stuff as they walked away, Lilith walks in as she holds her cheek. "Don't worry, sister. At least my image still commands respect and fear." She said as she poses the same way like herself on the poster holding a sword, but that moment was ruined quickly by a blast of fire blowing on the poster.

"Haha! Your a traitor." King laughs. "What's going on?! This is anarchy, who told you to DO THIS??" Lilith runs up to the man that's burning the paper, but four more papers were flew onto the wall quickly.

Luz walks to the posters as she talks two down, "The Golden and The Diamond Guard? Did you know them both when you were in the coven, Lilith?" "Unfortunately I did, they both always get special treatment but at least The Diamond Guard actually works while The Golden Guard was called 'The genius teen prodigy'. BUT HE'S REALLY JUST A BRAT. If he's in charge with that girl, vomit." She said as she crumbles the paper and throws it to the trash, but before it touched it quickly flew back to her face, Lilith tries to pull it off but she was unsuccessful.

"Hey I know!" Luz hugs Eda closer to her side, "What we need is a confidence boost! Why don't we go take on the biggest bounty we can find? It'll be great!" Luz said, running to the 'GREG'S LIST' board as she looks at the wanted posters.

"Hmm, Lost Cerberus, no. Witch cackling lessons..." Luz chuckles, "uh, maybe not today. Aha! There's something called a 'Selkidomus' ravaging boats up and down the coast." Luz holds out the poster with a big sea monster, "We'll be on a high-seas adventure!" Luz said excitedly.

"Mmm, no." Eda thought for a while but declines the offer, "we gotta keep a low profile while my powers are weakened, and we need fast cash." Eda said, going to Luz as she looks at the board, Eda gasps at her target. "how about this guy?" "The Abominable Cutie Pie?" "No, no, no. I hear it's very dangerous." Eda said as she gasped, Luz looked at her with her 'are you joking' face, "and look! There he is!" Eda said, pointing to a shop as Luz turns her head to that direction.

The little demon with a lollipop quickly ran, panting while he is running away from two witches that seems to be talking, he climbed up Belo's statue hand while laughing like a clown. "You'll never catch me!"

Luz climbs up, as the demon said sadly, "you did it. You caught me." As it falls down into Luz's hands in defeat, Luz groans as Eda sighs, King climbed to where Luz is, as they both turned to the speaking Eda.

"Things aren't looking great, Lily. This bounty hunting stuff isn't putting food on the table." Lilith mumbles, possibly saying something about Luz's plan, "oh, I'm sure Luz could handle bigger bounties, but if we wanna eat we don't have the luxury to mess up even once." Lilith mumbles through the paper of the golden guard again, "no apple blood. I spent the money on griffin eggs for Luz. There's not a lot she can digest here so I make sure to have her favourites around." Lilith hints the monsters to move the cart, how did Eda even understand Lilith anyways??

Luz and King looked at the two adults with a frowning face, "that's rough, buddy." The demon said as King hits him and he falls to the ground, before doing that, King even take his lollipop. He turns to Luz who was guilty for making Eda and Lilith suffer, she jumps down as she steps on the demon during the process, making him possible dead, as King does the same.

"This is awful," Luz grunts, "Eda wouldn't be in this situation if it weren't for me. Maybe it would be better if I never came here." Luz said sadly as she looks at hers own hands, she makes them into fists as she said to herself and King. "I can't change the past, but I can still change the future. I'm gonna help Eda and prove that I'm more then just a burden!" Luz said as in the dark alley, a figure was looking at Luz with frowning eyes, their eye mask on while wearing a white hoodie.

Luz slaps the wanted poster on the barrel as she said to the ship man, "The Selkidomus hunt, I want in." The ship hunks as the man said back to Luz.

"You think you can handle this, squirt?" "I can handle anything." The man throws some clothes to Luz as she quickly runs to change.

The Blue and Golden mask figure both looked from the window, as the man turns to them and nodded. The blue mask girl crossed her arms as the golden guard closes the window with a coven sigil on it.

Lilith stares at her burned coven poster, running her thumb on it softly, she managed to get the poster of, but some was still left on her face and her hair.

"Hey, Lily!" Eda pops out of no where, scaring Lilith out of her soul by her sudden appearance. "How do I look?" Eda said, walking to the opposite side of her, posing as she shakes her body a bit, moving the potion that's warped around her chest, "uh..." Lilith sat up straight, " getting scammed at the market was such a bummer, but it gave me an idea on how to earn a little more cash. You wanna come? I may no be at full power, but I can still make potions!" Eda said, sitting next to Lilith as she takes a potion from herself and shake it on top of Lilith's head, Lilith was scared out of her soul, the potion seem to have a dead tiny skull of some kind of demon with hair on it, floating around the orange red colour potion, "I'm quite fine, thank you." "Aight." Eda finished after Lilith decided to decline her offer, she got up and walked to the door.

"Have fun wallowing in self-pity and feeling bad for cursing me! BYEEE!" Eda said, handing over from her back as her hair touched the floor softly, closing the door after she stepped outside.

Lilith pulls out the rest of the paper of herself as she grunts, "I guess I deserve this." She lays on the couch as she looks at her own poster. "There's gotta be a way to make it up to her." Lilith looked around as she saw a book called 'Book of Potions' with a green cover, Lilith seem to somehow have a idea with it. "Edalyn isn't the only Clawthorne with a talent for potions." She chuckles, "Oh~ I bet she would love a peek inside the castle." Lilith said as she tears the page off, Hooty appeared out of no where, again. Scaring Lilith for the millionth of times, okay he really needs to stop that. Making Lilith to drop the page and the book, the page landed on Hooty's head, covering his eyes, Lilith drops to the floor as Hooty looked at her.

"New roomie check-in, how's my bestie doing? A scrying potion?" Hooty gasped, "Lulu, you're trying to spy on your old buddies? I can help! We can find out their crushes, we can give them cute couple names." Hooty said, playing his face with Lilith's face, as she pushed him away.

"No! I can do this alone, don't follow me!" Lilith said, walking out but stopped before stepping outside, turning back to him. "And don't call me Lulu!" She walks out angrily.

"A good friend would respect her wishes, but a better friend would help no matter what!" Hooty said, pulling himself to follow Lilith as the door slams.

Luz and King looked at the view of the Boiling Sea amazingly, "when we defeat the Selkidomus and get the boatload of snails, Eda won't have to worry about money for a LONGG time." "King want a cracker!" "All Hands!" The captain said as Luz and King turns their attention to them.

"All right, crew. The Selkidomus has been ravaging the coastline. It was last seen in the Simmering Shoals. You know the drill; 'Snag the quarry, get the money galore-y'." They said, dropping the bag of snails in front of Luz.

"We all do the work, we all get a cut!" Everyone cheered, "I have many debts!" "Till then, keep everything shipshape. This ain't no pleasure cruise." They take out a broom as they throw to Luz. "Don't be a burden, sea squirt." They said to Luz, looking at her in the eyes.

"If you don't have to worry to about me." Luz said, smirking.

After finishing a few tasks, Luz dances a bit in order to get the bug off her back. The captain finally seem to accept her, Luz thanks the captain, "you make me feel like part of the crew." "Well that's because you are!" They shoulder hug her, everyone cheered.

King was holding a cracker while 'boo'ing, the bird next to him grab the cracker with their wings hand thingy, "hey! That's mine you feather duster!" The ship somehow made a big bump, making king off the side, falling into the mysterious room, "Oof! Hey! King want a cracker!!" He tried to push open the door but failed, he sigh then gasped after he saw a box of crackers on the desk.

"Ooh~" he climbs up as he took one from the box, after putting it in his mouth, he then spotted a mail, he picked it up and looked at the sticker.

"Is that the Emperor's sigil?" He question himself, turning the lantern and it shows not one, but possibly more then 7 Emperor sigils on some objects and walls.

"This ship belongs to the Emperor?!" He turns around, looking at the poster with the Emperor's sigil, "oh boy, I gotta tell Luz!" "Unfortunately, you won't have the chance." The Diamond Guard covers him with a small blanket as he screams.

"Okay, next is firebee honey." Lilith said, she has messy hair and dirty clothes. She just finished getting most of the recipe, two firebee flew past her as she looked at the direction they were flying to, it was the tree with firebee honey.

She steps down as the firebee all gather to a big ball and flew to her, she quickly drew a circle as a small little ice cube came out only from the big blue circle.

Lilith looked at the firebee in horror, running to hide behind the tree as they crashed to her tree.

"How can I get firebee honey without ice magic, or porcuspine quills without a sleeping spell?! Who am I without magic, without a Coven?" She hugs her knees as she hid her head in it, her ears perked up when she heard a voice, "without friennndddsss?" Lilith looked up with a angry face, she knew exactly who it was.

"I SAID—" she points at Hooty, "you don't know how to get those firebees, but I can help!" "No! I don't want your help! I told you NOT TO FOLLOW ME!" "If I were you I would—" "YOU WOULD WHAT?! BECAUSE IT DOESN'T MATTER YOU AREN'T ME. You'rejust some kind of weird— BIRD-WORM." Lilith yells, Hooty frowns, "you have no idea what I'm going through. I HAVE to do this alone, because if I can't... what kind of witch am I?.." she brushes the leafs of her hair, frowning. "Sorry Lulu— I mean, sorry, Lilith." He said, sadly going back from the hole he came out from.

Lilith uncross her hands, "now, let's try this one more time." She picks up a stick from the ground, looking at the firebee with no fear, or at least for now.

The captain looked around with the telescope, "we're here. The Simmering Shoals. Eyes peeled, mates." A ship that was on fire went past them, they all looked a bit scared.

"She's close." A tail from the ocean quickly hits the ship, causing it to shake. "She's here!" Luz shouted, the creature charged at the side of the ship, swimming away quickly, the others quickly grab a arrow and shot to the creature. She hid under water, after their attack, she quickly came back up and inhaled, making the spikes to go to them, a monster's head got chopped off, istg et quick put it back on.

Luz stood on the edge, performing three ice glyphs, blocking the sea creature to crashing on the last one. It growls as Luz took the chance to catch it using her plant glyphs, she quickly pulled when the creature was defeated.

"Help her boy! Put your back into it!" The captain yelled, she pulled it up as she quickly tied it, "I did it!" Just as she was about to celebrate, a big blast of fire shot through.

She fell to the ground as the sea creature quickly break the vines and dives back into the water.

Luz opened her eyes as she saw a black figure taking the bag of money and threw it down, "is that a—a ghost pirate?" "The money! We're being robbed!" Luz shouted as the robber quickly jumped down to their own little ship, going away to the nearest landing.

Luz made a small ship platform to jump on, using an fire glyph to make herself move. The captain laughed, "show that specter what for, Luz!"

Luz's ice ship was about to melt as she threw herself off before she could actually melt to the ocean, the robber was just on the landing, she crashed onto her and the money was fallen to the sea, melting in it.

"THE MOENY!" They both yelled, Luz looked at her suspiciously, she turn to the other side of her face as she tries to hide it. Luz throws away her hat as it reveals to be, "Eda!" Eda chuckles, "hey." "Why are you robbing our ship?! And what happened to your legs?" Luz asked like disappointed mother.

Eda snapped her fingers as the legs came back to her, "is called, disguising your tracks. Now why were you oh that ship to begin with?!" Eda asked, "you could've gotten killed."

The land began to shake as a big red and blue light comes from the sea, revealing The Golden Guard and The Diamond Guard. "That can still be arranged."

"Hello, criminals. What's about to happen should be relatively painless, if you just do what we say." The Diamond Guard said, "and why would we do that?" "Because none of you can use real magic." The Golden Guard said, "you don't know that!" "Maybe not, but I do know that you're standing on a plant that eats flesh." And he was right, they were. They quickly jumped off.

The Golden Guard laughed, "okay, the human will remain a sailor to repay all the money she lost, while the owl lady will be arrested again for attacking one of the Empereor's ships." "Emperor's ship?!" "They're the only ones worth robbing. Why are you guys hunting the Selkidomus? It's a peaceful creature and you're provoking it!" "The Emperor ordered me to slay one. We are just following orders."

CHANGE OF POV:
DIAMOND GUARD.

I walked to the cave while my brother was talking to the human and the Owl lady. I looked at the walls in the cave, when I heard them coming, I quickly hid.

"I am not the one to the trifled with, bees. I am a witch... UNHINGED!" Lilith yelled as she using her stick to fight the bees, with just a few hit, the stick was already burnt. She falls to the ground in defeat, "I need help!" Hooty comes in and fight the bees for Lilith, Lilith claps her hands while the fight as a blast of bees came through and she duck down before it hit her.

I could hear the human and the owl lady talking, "I have to do this alone,", just only a few more words, the ground started shaking, I held onto a wall to keep myself from falling, Just then, the human fell on the monster's head, great. Her eyes glow in a sunset colour, she shake her body to her tail as she threw her away using her tail, she growls as she inhales, using the spikes to attack the human, I sigh as I facepalm, she hit behind a wood as it broke just right above her head, "already, let's do this!", she charged towards her as the owl lady comes in and swag away the human with herself using a rope, they fell into a big bush as I took the chance to go out of my hiding place, I know that the baby is somewhere, as I was walking around the place, and just my luck, I bump into them.

They widen their eyes as the owl lady was about to throw her potion at me, "wait! I mean no harm." "What do you mean 'I mean no harm'?? You literally work for the coven." "Okay okay! AT LEAST STOP POINTING AT ME WITH YOUR POTION—'' she puts down the potion as she crossed her arms, I got up slowly and dust myself, "now tell us why are you here, aren't you suppose to be with The Golden Guard?" "Yes but at the same time no, we both have different missions, I was just helping him." "How do we know we can trust you?" "Simple, if we can find the baby then I will help you both," they both looked at each other, the human picked the baby out from her back, "good, now heres the plan."

"Now give me king!" "Actually he smells pretty bad too." The Golden Guard threw the cage to the human, warning her and the owl lady to not do more bad things, saying the Emperor is not merciful man." More like his a b—. A light suddenly comes through as I turn around, looking at the paper she is drawing on. "Woah, I've heard about glyph, I've never seen it doing in action before.." "ha! Isn't it cool? My first glyph, did I do good?" "Yeah! You did great!" The mother and the baby suddenly comes through, the baby comes to us as the human hugs it. "Wait what is that?!" "Don't worry, King. Once the mother saw we weren't a threat to her baby, she calmed down."

"This area is dangerous, you need to move further out into the sea." I said, as she nodded, the mother started gagging as I step backwards. "Uhh.. what—" a pile of gold came out as the owl lady hugs me and Luz side by side. "Hot dang! It gave us the treasure of the sea!" "Gold? Tuna?" "It's selkgris! Ah, people pay big money for it at the Night Market! Ah feel the money, Luz!" "No Eda! Stoppp!" "Luxuriate in it" I laughed at her actions, "hey, you should honestly take some too, after all you did help us out." Eda said, "me? Nah I'm fine." "But why did you help us anyways?" Luz asked, sitting up.

"I honestly don't trust the Emperor, some people like me finds it suspicious, he is planning something but we don't know yet," "we?" "Is... complicated, but I can help you with Belos, I work in there so I can try and hear out his plan."

Eda held her chin for a bit, as she nodded. "Fine, but if you try to turn in on us it won't end pretty." I nodded. "Truce." We shake hands, as I walked out the cave. "If I have any information I'll tell you, until then, byeeeee!~" I took out my Emperor staff and disappeared into thin air.
