Mia's POV

"So, how was that" I said once I took the headphones off

"Fucking great. What's the name of it, your voice is amazing. What inspired this really" the producer said once I stepped out of the booth

"Well basically I recently saw my boyfriend cheating on me and it made sense as to why we never had the same conversations anymore or why he was always so busy on most days or when I really need him" I said

"Well, I'd like to sign you to Chosen One records" the producer said

"Uh I'd love to" I said looking at Christian

"Great! Alright well here's your contract" the producer said

"Cool, uh can I get a copy of this. I just like to always have a back up so I know what I'm signing" I said

"Sounds fair enough. Alright so sign here, here and here. I'll be back in about 2 minutes with your copy of things" the producer said walking out so he could go to the printer

"So how does it feel being an artist" Christian said

"Eh I mean it's not bad but I just started so I don't know yet. What did you think of the song" I said sitting down next to Christian on the couch

"It was dope, I honestly didn't know you could sing but your voice is beyond beautiful you have a gift and I don't think you should ever give that up" Christian said

"Thanks" I said smiling afterwards

"Alright here's your copy of things, now that your a recording artist you have full availability to everything— the booths and everything else" the producer said

"Thank you..." I said trailing off

"Oh you can call me Jamari" Jamari said

I nodded my head before grabbing the papers and putting them in my bag before getting ready to leave with Christian

Nahmir's POV
2 hours later...

"Bro, did you see this shit on Instagram" Glizzy said

"Nah, you know I don't be on Instagram like that" I said

"Damn...so you know Mia got signed, all these people out here saying that she made the song about you and how you cheated on her" Glizzy said

"What?! Damn what's the song, I gotta hear it" I said

"Alright, I'm gonna send you the attachment" Glizzy said

With in minutes my phone dinged signaling that I got a message

Once I opened the attachment it took me to her page where the lyrics were posted at since she didn't have a video for it yet

"What is she talking about of course I still love her" I said

"Bro you don't even know if it's about you so what are you talking about" Glizzy said

"Yeah I know, I'm just happy for her you know. Of course she never told me she could sing" I said

"Yeahhhh" Glizzy said turning on the tv

Once Glizzy wasn't paying attention at all like he already was I pulled my phone back out sending a text to Mia

"Bro, I don't know why you don't just ask her out already" my friend Jace said

"Because— she's seeing someone already" I said

"Yeah, but didn't you just say she made a song about him and how dirty he's doing her" Kobe said

"Yeah I know what I said but I can't just make a move on her knowing she's not single how the hell is that gonna make me look" I said

"Your right but I don't know just see where it goes" Jace said

"You need to, you seem like you really care about her and shit" Lucas said

"I feel you on that one, trust me I was in the same situation when I met amber— she was dealing with this one dude who was treating her like shit and you know me and her became friends sooner or later she had texted me and told me she left him alone. We started hanging out more and then I had asked her to be my girl and we've been together ever since then" Lucas said

"Damn that's crazy, see I like Mia but I don't wanna come off too strong and I don't wanna make a move on her knowing she got somebody else" I said

Mia's POV
1 hour later...

"So when were you gonna tell me that you recorded a song" Nahmir said once me and him got to his mom's house

"I don't know Nahmir, it just happened honestly but of course I was gonna tell you. This is all new for me and plus it's exciting I've never done anything like this before" I said

"I feel you I just wanted you to tell me, i didn't wanna find out from Glizzy. He's the one that sent me the link to it" Nahmir said

"I know and I'm sorry for that" I said

"So what else you gonna do besides music" Nahmir said

"Probably some skits or short raps on my Instagram page, you know promote myself and my music career a little bit more" I said

"Cool, cool. I'm gonna promote you on my page too, get your name out there a little bit more" Nahmir said

"Thanks. I'm definitely real new to this music thing, I honestly don't think I'll have any fans anytime soon you know" I said

"Trust me you will you just don't know it yet" Nahmir said
