We got to Inkopolis, our new home, where our new dreams will be made. Cross already prepared an apartment for us to stay in. Wow, he really wanted to live here huh.

Brooks: Hey where are we going Cross? *creeped out*

Cross: Don't worry about it we are getting there. *not worried*

Brooks: This place is sketchy as hell, you didn't found a better place to stay?

Cross: Trust me. The place will be great!

A-kun: I dunno bout this.

We finally got there, the place he chose was a sketchy-ass walkway but when we got in it was not what I expected to be.

Cross: And we are here! *unlocks the door and opens it*

The place was really exciting looking, the living room alone is really big, probably would fit 3 or more Inklings here and it just got better...

Brooks: This is not what I expected, it looks so big and it's only for 2 of us.

Cross: No, dude. We are gonna live here with an Inkling. *in a worried tone*

Brooks: NANI?! Is it only one?

Cross: Luckily, yes. Let's show you now our bedroom!

Brooks: Right behind ya. (He's not even worried that our identity is gonna get exposed we haven't even started on doing stuff outside the house.)

The bedroom was even better, and we got our own separate rooms so we can do whatever we want in here and it was 3 separate rooms. Coincidence huh?

Cross: I told you, Brooks! It's a good place to stay.

Brooks: I know. But we gonna look weird when we gonna come out on that sketchy walkway.

Cross: Whatever. And the price was only 2400 Coins per month and it's renovated!

Brooks: Wow, that's really cheap, seems like the landlord is a rich guy or something.

Cross: I guess so, let's just unpack your luggage to your room.

Brooks: Already on it! *goes to his room*

Cross: See you in the living room.

Now I started unpacking my luggage it was a lot of stuff, well it's our new home so I guess it makes sense. The room was completed too, minus the windows, it has a TV, a cabinet, a big-ass bed, and a bathroom. It was beyond complete.

Brooks: Alright, now what do I take out first? The clothes I guess.

My clothes were pretty new, my agency has supplies for those kinds of clothes so I'm pretty lucky.

Brooks: Okay it goes here, and these clothes go here... *laying the clothes in the cabinet*

Then I had a problem, where the hell to do I put my weapons? I can't just put it on a wall so I think I have to buy a weapon case soon with Cross.

Brooks: *frustrated* Ughh... This goes on the wall for now.

I finished all my unpacking then I tried using the TV if I was working, and it did.

A-kun: What Did You Expect?

Brooks: Now what channel should I check? Huh? A new radio Q&A show? Lemme check it.

It showed Pop Superstar Marie from the Squid Sisters, answering questions about world problems it's kinda weird.

A-kun: By The Way, This Takes Place Before Callie Got Octo-Napped So We Are Not There Yet.

Brooks: *turns off the TV* I'll check on Cross if he's finished unpacking as well. *gets out of his room*

I got out of my room and Cross... Cooking?! Wait wot? He barely does this type of stuff and he's lazy AF.

Brooks: *sarcastic tone* OMG! Is this real? Cross is finally not being a lazy-ass, couch potato?!

Cross: Yeah I'm cooking. What's wrong with it? I've been working with my cooking. Unlike you.

Brooks: Wow. You've given me sassy remarks 2 days in a row now.

Cross: That's karma for being sarcastic.

Brooks: Yikes. But I have a big problem.

Cross: What is it?

Brooks: My weapons are placed on a wall, it looks stupid so I want to buy a weapon case.

Cross: Oh you want me to come with you huh? Well conveniently, there's Ammo Knights near the tower, you'll know when you see it.

Brooks: You need to come with me man.

Cross: Gotchu bro, let's wear our disguises and buy that thing. *turns off the stove*

We wore our disguises and went out, and of course, we locked the apartment.

A-kun: We don't want Law & Order in our area.

At Inkopolis Plaza...

We got no reactions to Inklings at all, we were completely blending in with the environment.

Nikki's P. O. V

A-kun: New Character Inkcoming!, It's A "She" Okay?

Who are those?... Walking around Inkopolis Plaza without any squid noticing them, they look suspicious.

Nikki:(Hmm.. I need to follow them.) *starts following "them"* ...

Hmm? They gone to Sheldon's Ammo Knights? What for? Buying a weapon? Or doing something different.

I kept watching them the guy with the yellow hair (A-kun: Brooks.) Almost saw me and I ducked beside the door, he looked away so I looked in again. They bought a... Weapons Case? What? I thought Sheldon only sells weapons, they are not normal at all, I need to follow them more.

Brooks's P. O. V

Cross: That was easy than I thought. We didn't get noticed too!

Brooks: Well yeah, but there's an Inkling staring at me a while ago. It's weird. And I have to go home with a case with me. I'll look ridiculous. *holding the case*

Cross: Let's just carry it like we're workers. And about the Inkling you're talking about, let's just leave quickly.

Brooks: Agreed. *walks faster holding the case on one side*

We got back home, thankfully, but when I was walking I sensed a presence following us but it's gone so that's a good sign. I walked back to my room to set up the weapon case.

Brooks: Now where should I put it? Here? No. About here? Nope, ah! This fits. *sets it up*

It took me a while to put it onto the wall but I finished it pretty quickly and put my weapons in there.

A-kun: Currently His Weapons Is Rapid Blaster Pro, Jet Squelcher, Emperry Splat Dualies, And The Slosher.

Brooks: Okay. Here they go... *puts weapons in place* This here, and this here. And... Done!

The final product looked extraordinary, it's really nice looking and makes my room look cleaner than last time, proud, I left my room with happiness.

Cross: *sees Brooks* Hey, you finished that case setting up?

Brooks: Yep!

Cross: Well let's eat so we can sleep for tomorrow. *starts eating*

Brooks: Okay. *starts eating*

We ate, we finished, washed the dishes and gone to bed for some sleep tomorrow.

Meanwhile...

Nikki's P. O. V

Nikki: So... I'm paid now?

Landlord: Yep, you can stay there forever. You bought it. So it's yours!

Nikki: Thanks! *bows*

Landlord: Don't worry about it, young lady. You can pack your things and arrive there tomorrow.

Nikki: Okay good sir. Bye! *walks away*

Landlord: Bye too. *waves bye*

I'm so happy I can finally live in that apartment space forever because it's completely renovated, it's the best apartment I could find, minus the location. The location is creepy, and I still need to know who that weird guy is back at the Plaza is, Ugh... I'm overthinking things. I have a tight schedule tomorrow I better sleep now.

Nikki: *lays down* Goodnight world.... *falls asleep*

The next day...

Brooks's P. O. V

I woke up in my really comfy bed, no kidding, the bed was that big that I was rolling on it before I slept. I'm soooo weird.

Brooks: Good morning world... *yawns*

Then Cross comes into my room.

Cross: Yo bro, good morning.

Brooks: Yeah, you too. Any news?

Cross: Yeah, quite big news.

Brooks: Huh? What's happening?

Cross: The Inkling I told you that was gonna be our roommate is arriving today.

Brooks: Oh crap. How did you know anyway?

Cross: The landlord called like 6:00 am in the morning, I woke up then he said that "That" Inkling is coming here.

Brooks: I'm gonna eat now *chuckles* just when we are getting used to the place. *walks to the kitchen*

The kitchen was pretty goddamn big too, but enough for 2 cooks to cook something delicious.

Cross: I didn't prepare today so you're stuck with good ol' cereal.

Brooks: That's fine. *starts to cook cereal*

Then we heard I noise coming from the front door, oh crap!!!

Nikki's P. O. V

I was walking in the apartment, I already knew about the 2 people also living here but when I looked at them. A HUMAN?! I quickly closed the door.

Nikki: *panting heavily* What in the shell is that?! Okay, time to investigate.

I grabbed my Splat Charger and bust through the door, pointing my laser to the Human's chest.

Brooks's P. O. V

Ughhh... I was expecting this reaction from a girl Inkling. This is scary, this is a tough person to get along with, especially trying to accept me and Cross.

Nikki's P. O. V

Nikki: Who are you?! Why are you here?!

I was not scared to pull the trigger on them.

But they responded with.

Brooks: Uhh. A human. Is it hard to understand?

Nikki: You're supposed to be extinct!

Brooks: First buddy, put that weapon down, I'm just making my breakfast here you know. But to answer that question, no we're not extinct. You can clearly see me here.

I stood there dumbfounded thinking all my choices. I can't believe I'll have to deal with this. But they didn't mean any harm. I mean, they literally just making breakfast. So I pulled my bags inside the apartment. Which these bags are really heavy.

Brooks: Oi, Cross, help her man. I'm still cooking here.

Cross: Let me help. *walks towards Nikki* *tries to reaches for the bags*

Nikki: I'm good on my own thank you.

Cross: You sure?

Nikki: Yes! Now go away, please.

Brooks's P. O. V

After hearing that sassy remarks, I had to do something.

Brooks: *finished cooking* Hey, by the way, what's your name? I made cereal.

Nikki: Can I trust you, humans?

Brooks: You judge for yourself. We'll just be here doing our own thing.

Nikki: Well my name is Nikki, how about yours? *finished pulling the bags*

Brooks: Well I'm Brooks, Prince Brooks, nice to meet you! *smiles*

Nikki: Nice to meet you too.

Cross: And my name's Cross, Chris Cross,

A-kun: I'm dying laughing over here...

Cross: I prefer Cross instead because it sounds ugly.

Brooks: Anyway, I already made a serving just for you Nikki! Hope you get along with us being your roommates *smiles*

Nikki: Well I hope so.

We started eating breakfast, finished, and helped her to fix her new room to stay in, I made some jokes to make her laugh and she kinda giggled at my jokes that was a start of a great friendship so you could say... I'm"getting used to it."
