Dates in the Park

As the cold winter air brushed against my cheek I feel awaken and feel even more eager than before

As I sit there on this green metal park bench I can feel anticipation take over my body and I am sitting there with my leg shaking as would a dogs leg would shake when you scratch that special spot of theirs

I am so lost in thought that I have not even notice him approach until he says my name and I look up and see his wonderful cheerful face looking back at me and I jump up and embrace him with a hug and take in his scent as well as loving the way he is taller than I am

We go and take a walk as we talk and laugh and the time has come for our moment to end and he walks me home as his ride arrives and the last thing we say is "I love you."

For we do not say goodbye for "goodbyes are for when you die"
