Pt.3

My jaw hung open to the words that just came out of her mouth. He has children!! Am I supposed to take of her? Or maybe them?! Tears started to fill up my eyes at the thoughts that were floating around my head, I haven't stopped crying since the moment I stepped through the doors of my new home.
Aliyah looked at me and started to Panick "oh god what have I done" she mumbled to herself. Her hands made way to my shoulders to try and comfort me, but it was even more awkward than comforting. "Hey hey hey, no need to worry it's just the two of us..." she exclaims.
A sense of relief unleashed within me. "me and my brother that's all ...." she mumbles. My eyes grew wide, and my hands made their way to my hung open mouth. "oh god I made it even worse" Aliyah says to herself while mentally slapping her forehead.

Aliyah was not the type to comfort people. She never received the love and comfort since a very young age.
She grew up cold and introverted. It was only her and her brother who spent most of the time in the huge mansion. Her father has always been busy and never had the time to check up on her, he thought that the solution to all things were money.

A couple of minutes passed as we just sat there in silence, the cool breeze blowing at my face. I have finally calmed down and turned towards the red headed girl.
Aliyah just awkwardly sat there looking down wondering when her new stepmother shall start talking eventually. "Sorry about the sudden break down" I quietly said.
Her head shot up towards me stunned by the sudden answer. "Oh, it's fine I uhm- well sorry about breaking the news to you I shouldn't of-" she stuttered as every word came out of her mouth. "it's fine "I say while giving her a warm smile. And the silence took over again...

"you will not have to take care of neither of us you know. Me and my brother are old enough" Aliyah smiles. Curiosity hit me so I had to ask, "How old is your brother?". She looks over to me and says, "he is 21, he goes to university". Oh, that's embarrassing, I am a stepmother of a person who is older than me.
What does the father think he is doing? "why is your father doing this? Where is your mother? Why did he marry me? And why marry a woman 25 years younger?" I shoot all the questions out of the blue.
Aliyah went extremely quite not daring to talk. It hurts her. Remembering all that had happened 10 years ago "Aliyah, you, okay?" I quietly call out to her. Aliyah looked up and her face showed tuns of emotions, she looked exactly how I looked on the day I got married. She also was broken, and she needed healing. "my mum passed away when I was six, no one took care of me except for my brother and the maids" she says while fiddling with her fingers unable to look at me. "I don't know why he is remarrying someone he rarely knows but, I feel like he is marrying such a young woman just for his image to be caught up in everyone else's business "she says.

Fame and money have taken over the father's life that he doesn't bother asking about his children, he will just dash money on the table expecting everything to be good afterwards, but he has no idea what is going through both his children's minds.

Aliyah and I make our back into the house walking down the hallways to her bedroom making small conversations and slowly getting to know each other. But as usual, the surprises that have been happening since the minute I got here haven't stopped. "well look who it is, the gold digger that blinded my dad with her beauty" a sarcastic voice exclaims.
My head rises towards the staircase as a blond boy near to my age comes down with two eyes glaring at me never leaving contact. Hatred was written all over his face. He doesn't know me, yet he already hates me.
