Pt .1

Here I was, walking down an aisle filled with mixed emotions. I was sad, angry and mostly heart broken. I was wearing the typical white long dress. It hugged my skin perfectly as the train laid on the ground. Although I was wearing heels the dress was very long. The sound of my heels and the dreadful wedding music were the only sounds filling the hall.

All eyes were on me with plastered smiles on their faces, most of them were fake, it was so obvious. My face hung low, I was weak, I was useless, I was lifeless. My eyes were glossy, they were filled with tears not daring to drop. You don't know how much I just wanted to break down and let it all out but I couldn't.

My father's hand loosened its grip to let go. I looked up to realise that we were at the end of the aisle, I looked over to my father, the one who promised to protect me at all cost, was finally letting go of his child. His 18-year-old child. My hands were trembling gripping tightly to my dress. My eyes shifted towards the grumpy looking man he was closer to my father's age wearing a rather small tuxedo and his hair was slick back with gel, the man who standing in the groom's place, the man I was going to marry.

It's been a couple of days since the wedding and it was also the day I was going to move out and live with the old man I married. I brought down my suitcases and dragged them to the front door. I hated this. I was disgusted with everything that was happening to me, but what could I possibly do? I am only 18.

There was a honk coming from outside our house, it must be him, the one who will be ruining my future. He rang the bell and my father rushed over to the door; he was over excited. So happy to throw me away? So happy to get rid of your daughter?

He opens the door and welcomes the old man in with a huge smile on his face. "Welcome Son-in-law" he cheered.

You must be kidding right? Son? He is like the same age as you... "So good to see you!" he exclaimed, hugging my father. I wanted to puke, what on earth is this behaviour? We all knew this was an act yet they all brushed it off like it was nothing.

"well, we should get going, I have to show my lovely wife around" he said while grinning. My father didn't care, nor did my mother have the guts to say something. My father just stood there waiting for his "gift". After all it was all he ever wanted in the first place.

Oh gosh I almost forgot" my so-called husband said. He walked over to my father and passed him a check with lots of zeros on it. My dad was that was selling off his own daughter for money.

The old man soon after walked over to me, hisshoes clashing on the ground. Everything felt like it was happening in slow motion.I was scared, heck I was terrified. The jerk put an arm around me. I flinchedready to back away but his grip tightened around my shoulders. "I'll take greatcare of her" he said.

My eyes looked over to my mother, her face was filled withguilt, however my father couldn't care less. Tears were building inside of myeyes but I didn't dare let them out. My so-called husband called in some men topick up my suitcases and made their way out of the house.

Me and the old manbeside me made our way out towards the car, he opened the door for me and letme in. I walked in and sat quietly looking out the window.

The emotions insideof me were driving me mad, I was so disappointed in my parents and I also was soscared of what's going to happen to me from today onwards, he had full controlof me, he could do anything. The terrible scenes I started to imagine werefloating around me. They clouded up my entire head. I was getting dizzy becauseof all the thinking. I was lifeless
