3rd POV

Soon after the villains left help had arrived. Of the students fifteen were unconscious and in serious condition while eleven others were injured. Kai on the other hand, he was airlifted out in critical condition. It's not known how bad it is until he gets stabilized.

One of the six pro heroes was in serious condition due to a head injury. One's missing but it's apparent she's lost a lot of blood. On the villain side, most of them got taken into custody thanks to Kai.

Deku POV

My eyes slowly open to the bright hospital lights. When I sit up the others walk into my room.

Denki: "Glad to see you awake."

Tokoyami: "How're you feeling?"

Deku: "Good. But hey, what about Kai, how's he?"

Everyone looks down scaring me.

Mina: "He's alive, don't worry. But..."

Uraraka: "Whatever happened to him really hurt him."

Tsuyu: "The doctor said he came in suffering from extreme blood loss. It was then discovered that not enough blood got to his organs."

Ojiro: "He's in a medically induced coma so his body can heal. The doctors don't think he'll be waking up anytime soon."

I look down, he risked his body for us.

Deku: "It's all my fault. If I had stopped him then he wouldn't be like this."

Iida: "It's not your fault Midoriya. Kai knew the risk but he did what he did to stop the villains. I fear if he hadn't done it then things would've ended far worse than what they did."

Kirishima: "Plus he took down most of the league of villains. So this wasn't all for nothing."

Sero: "Yeah, he's a true hero for that."

Everyone smiles which I half return.

Doctor: "Sorry for interrupting, but I need a moment alone with Midoriya."

They nod and leave me alone with the doctor.

*small timeskip*

I hang my head going over what the doctor said. If I don't lay off on using one for all I run the risk of never being able to use my arms again. I sigh when I remember something.

Deku: "My brother Kai, may I see him?"

Doctor: *checks watch* "Sure, but only for a few minutes. He's down the hall, last door on the right."

I nod and head to Kai. Along my way I meet mom.

Deku: "What're you doing here?"

Mom: "Your brother."

I stare before we both enter Kai's room. The second we enter we see all sorts of devices hooked to him. The sight alone makes mom gasp and run to him.

Mom: "My poor baby."

Deku: "He managed to take down most of the league but this is the cost."

Mom: "I should've been there. I could've stopped him."

Deku: "I don't know. When I looked into his eyes I didn't see anything in them, it was like he wasn't even there."

Mom covers her mouth and cries while I hug her. 

Mom: "First you now him. I'm not sure how much more of this I can take."

I just rub her back as she continues to cry.

*timeskip*

Later that day I get dressed to head out with Todoroki, Momo and Iida to save Kacchan. Before I leave the hospital I make one last visit to Kai.

Deku: "Hey. I don't know if you can hear me or not but I just came to tell you something. Me and some of the other students are about to save Kacchan from what remains of the league. I honestly don't know how things are gonna go so I just wanna say thank you. Thank you for always looking after me. If you were awake you'd try to stop me, but don't worry. All the top ten pro heroes are going to be there, so if things do go sideways we should be okay. Then again no one has any idea that we'll be there. Anyway, just thought I should tell you. Wish us luck."

I walk out of his room and head out with the others.

3rd POV

As Deku and his friends leave to help Bakugo we reenter Kai's room. He was listening and he heard everything Deku had said. More importantly he heard the rescue and league part. That part plays over and over until his finger twitches.
