Chapter Five - Reunited

The man in the straw hat had already noticed Brian. But what both didn't knew, was that their stories looked alike. After this fellow had drank a cup of tea, he found himself in this strange place of the past, all alone. It was only until this moment he found a familiar face. A tall, curly-haired man to cling to, so he wouldn't be on his own anymore. And after he heard this man calling him by his nickname he knew immediately: my bandmate is here too.

He ran up to the curly guitarist. "Brian!"

Brian had already seen him. It was weird, seeing someone familiar again in this land full of strangers. But it was also a very satisfying feeling.

"Oh Deaky, I was afraid I would never see you again..." he muttered.

"I mean, I haven't see you too in a while, but gee, Bri, aren't you a bit overexaggerating?

"Overexaggerating? I could have been dead!"

Then, John went silent and looked at Brian.

"Dead?" he said, still perplexed. "Seriously?"

"Yes John," Brian replied. "Dead serious. When I arrived here, I ran into this guy who wanted to straight-up murder me. But I'm still alive, luckily enough."

"Oh, that's different from when I first arrived here. That old chap, the one who runs the tea shop, was next to me," John said. "He told me that I travelled to the past and that I had to find a magic sword. It was called 'the Jade Katana' or something like that."

"The Jade Katana?" Brian said, surprised. "He also told me of that sword - it can be found in Mount Osohai!"

"Osohai?" John said. "He only told me that I should go to the 'Mountain in the North'. I thought this information was a bit unclear. But before I could ask more, the fellow was gone all of a sudden. It wasn't long before I ran into you - you're a very very tall chap and not that easy to miss!" The bassist grinned. "You're like a tall pole. A May-pole, if you ask me!"

Suddenly, Brian realized something. "So if Fushi told you that the Katana can be found at the Mountain in the North... and if I was told that the Katana was located at Mount Osohai... That means that Mount Osohai is the Mountain in the North!"

"Hmmm," John said. "That's still not enough to be certain. Where exactly in the North lays Mount Osohai? How can we recognize it? And, not the least important, how long will the journey take us?"

The two Queenies fell silent to overthink the question. Brian looked at the big tree that was standing right in front of them. It seemed to him there was something moving inside of it. It was probably some small animal, he thought, or the wind. But what he didn't knew, was that the thing inside the tree was neither of both.

"But Brian," John said. "If you recieved a small bit of information about the mountain, and me too - except that I got a different bit - wouldn't it be logical if Roger also had some information with him? It's just like a puzzle!"

But John saw suddenly a change on Brian's face when he had mentioned Roger. A maniacal grin filled his face and his hands reached to his sword. It wasn't a face he saw often on his bandmate.  "Wait, Bri, what's wrong?"

"The year, that's what's wrong," Brian growled. "We're in 16-friggin'-85! I could be happily making music in 1985, but nooooo-"

Ka-shing!

All of a sudden, a ninja star came flying in the direction of the two Queenies. It missed them by mere inches.

"There's something in that tree," Brian said, clenching his fists, running to the place where the ninja star came from. "Whoever you may be, mysterious man in the tree, show your face to me."

"Whoa, Bri," said a familiar, raspy voice from the tree. "That was actually a pretty good rhyme. You should make a new song out of that! 'The Mysterious Man In The Tree' by Queen - sounds catchy if you ask me."

"Wait. Roger, is that you?"

"No, it's your aunt Edna, from Ipswich!"

"But I don't even have an aunt called Edna..." Brian said.

"Ofcourse it's me, what did you think?" Roger said sarcastically, jumping out of the tree. He wasn't wearing anything resembling a dress or a judo vest, like Brian and John, but rather a black suit.

When Roger first saw Brian standing in front of him, he felt envious. "Aw, come on Bri, why did you have to be a samurai? I am stuck here wearing a ninja costume. And ninjas are lame."

Brian sighed in an angry way. "Roger, you know what is really 'lame'? Unexpected time travelling."

"Hey man," Roger tried to calm down his bandmate, "I never intended it that way. I was only hoping to go to the Samurai Museum. And I only made a small excuse to get you to the museum too!"

But Brian didn't listen. "This is all your fault, Roger. All of it. I could have some samurai stereos, now I'm a samurai myself! And you know what samurais can do with their swords, huh?"

Then, John stepped up to Brian. He didn't seem to like his band member's behavior. "Brian, stop saying that Roger's all responsible for this! Who was the one to pick the tea parlor? Who said that stories about tea parlors where people dissappear were nonsense? Yes, that was you, Brian. We've gotta find a solution together, and that's not going to happen if we fight with eachother!"

Brian looked at John. He didn't expect to be called out by a man who never said so much. Whenever he said something, it was something important.
"Hrmph. Okay then."

John smiled. "It's alright, Bri. And say, Roger, have you got any information from the old guy from the tea shop?"

"Yes," the drummer replied.

"Was it about a magic sword inside a mountain?"

"Yes," he replied again.

"Anything else?"

"He said it was a mountain you could reach within 120 miles - which was, according to him, a few days walking from here."

"Thank you, Roger!" John said, happily. "We have to go to mount Osohai, which is in the North, and 120 miles away from us! Let's go, guys!" He was quickly followed by Roger.

Brian was still standing with his arms over eachother, looking still a bit angry.

"You too, Bri."
