2 Million

This isn't an update, but I find that amazing.
2 million dollars to the Black Lives Movement.
1 million, donated selflessly with little social media exposure.
Another 1 million, generated in less than 24 hours as a collective whole.

Systematic oppression. At America's very beginning, is entrenched racism and discrimination. George Floyd, along with many others, have faced this head on.
Though I am not black, will never be black, and will never experience the extent of oppression that others have, I will always value equality. I am Chinese, which is sensitive to some experiencing the pandemic- but I have been lucky enough to not experience the oppression others have.

You and I are humans living on this planet. We are no different from one another - we are all trying to make the best of our lives, as best as we can. It baffles me that while I learn about the Civil War in my US History class and dismiss it as merely the past, there are many in the world today who still stick to those ideas.

We should not discriminate - we should come together. I truly believe that we, as the future generation, can change this. We have been more united than ever before. Social media has shown this. Our collective donations have shown this, as ARMY. The protests, our activism, our sharing of knowledge has shown this.

I'm sorry that this update may seem out of the blue, but I felt compelled to write my thoughts out on this platform. Kill For Me has been blowing up recently, and reading all your comments has made me so happy. Happy that my work (albeit a work that I cannot help but cringe to read at) as made someone smile, or cry, or judge.
I'm happy that there are many of us who have been united by these one group in Korea, and have portrayed our resilience and activism.

Meanwhile, I'm continuing to educate myself about inequalities around the world - not just the Black Lives Matter Movement, but the Yemen humanitarian crisis, educational inequalities in East Asia, to name a few. I urge everyone to continue doing what they're doing; to persevere in their daily lives; to consistently read; and to never degrade someone based on the colour of their skin.

This may seem as an abrupt transition, but I am thinking of adding a few chapters; additional activities, discussions and side stories. I've grown a lot as a writer and as a person - from the naive middle school student who first started this rando fanfic, to me now, approaching my final year of high school. I hope I can showcase my abilities.

If you've managed to read everything so far, thank you. (It's quite a huge blob, I know.) I'm just incredibly amazed at how we have handled these events for the last few months of 2020- oh what a year it has been, and it's not even over yet.
I hope we continue to push forwards and merge together. Do not stop what you're doing- continue to push.
