S. Gojo - Prove It (part one)

(Normal life college AU. Aka the butter to my biscuit.)

Why?

Why do people?

All you want to know is why people think it's perfectly fine to follow people around all stalker like. That shit's terrifying.

Like right now, it's really early in the morning and all you wanted to do was to get to your class on time, but now a creepy man is following you. It could be a coincidence, but he's staring at you. Intensely.

The look he's leveling on you makes you feel gross all over. Like someone poured cold slime down your back or something. It was a very unsafe feeling.

With your heart pounding, you look around for a semi crowded place to find solace in. Luckily enough, your gaze rests upon a quaint coffee shop brimming with other students.

Oh fuck yeah, you're actually lucky for once.

Turning into the shop, you glance behind you to see the man follow you in. Now that's quite inconvenient.

You step into the line, swallowing and trying to think of a plan. Maybe if you just turned around and kicked him in the balls? No, that would bring too much attention to you.

Before you know it, you're in the front of the line, staring into the blue eyes of the cashier.

Wow those are really fucking blue.

"Hello! What can I do for you today?"

You glance down at his name tag. Gojo. Okay.

"Oh my god! Gojo?! I didn't know you worked here."

His eyes show confusion at your outburst but you can see that he's trying not to show it on his face. You appreciate the thought in that.

You take a deep breath, making sure he's looking at your eyes as you move them to the side that man is standing, raising your eyebrows.

"Oh! I almost didn't recognize you! Let's go catch up." The man turns around, "Nanami~ I'm stepping out for a second."

"I don't even care anymore." The blonde man behind him, Nanami, says. He sounds tired. You could see why.

Gojo steps out from behind the counter, gesturing for you to follow him and walking as far as he can get from the creepy man.

You follow him quickly, heart still beating hard.

When Gojo stops, he turns to you, "Are you okay?" He asks.

"Well, no. That fucking creep has been following me for like 15 minutes now."

"Shit." He whistles, "I mean, you're attractive, I see why."

Says the guy with white hair and crystals for eyes. Seriously who looks like that? It's honestly fucking creepy. That out of place comment just made it worse.

"Thank you." You say, "Can you just keep an eye on him while I stay here for a while?"

"Do you have places to be? You look like a fellow student."

"Fellow- Uh yeah. I have class in," You check your phone, "Wow, 10 minutes. That's great."

"Is it important?"

"Yes. Of course it's important, man."

He hums in thought, placing a hand on his chin. After a few seconds, he lights up, snapping his fingers.

"Ah! I have an idea. I'll be right back."

"Wait-"

And he was already gone. Not rude at all.

You look over to what he's doing and see him run behind the counter and throw his apron over Nanami's head before circling back to you.

"Okay, I'm off the clock, let's go!" He says bubbily.

"Can you actually tell me the plan."

"I'm going to walk you to school. Or run you to school."

"... What?"

"You don't want to miss your class, I want to spend more time with a pretty person. Win win, let's go."

You follow him out of the cafe, still complexed at the situation. He keeps complimenting you but honestly he just seems like that type of guy. In fact, you do see a lot of people waving at him as he walks.

You check your phone again. 7 minutes.

"Gojo, there's no point. I'm not going to make it."

"Wait, how do you know my name?"

"It was on your apron."

"Oh. What's your name?"

"Y/N."

"Sexy." He says smiling. You don't even know what's supposed to mean.

"But for real, I don't even think he's following me anymore. You can go back."

"No~ I mean, unless you really want me to." He runs a hand through his hair, "Also, we're not going to be late."

"How the hell will we not be-"

You cut yourself when he squats in front of you, stopping you from walking.

"What."

"Get on my back." He turns his head back, looking at you through his lashes, "If you want to, of course."

"I don't make good decisions." You mumble, getting situated on his back. Once you say you're ready, he stands back up.

"Are you good to go?" He asks.

You tighten your arms around his neck, "Sure."

At those words, he starts dead spriting in the direction of the school.

"This is fucking terrifying! And you're tall too!" You shout, tightening your grip around his waist and neck.

He laughs loudly, "The good thing about having long legs, babe."

You laugh at that, how could you not? You don't remember the last time you've been given a piggyback ride. Gojo was suprisingly strong despite his thin stature.

This is really making you realize how much college has been dragging you down. Just this is making your chest ache with adrenaline and happiness. He seemed like someone that would incite that in general.

"What building is your class in?" He asks, not even breaking a sweat yet.

"South side building B."

"Really? I have class over there a lot of the time too. I think I would've noticed you."

"It doesn't shock me that you didn't"

"What do you mean?"

"You probably are narcissistic enough to pay more attention to yourself than other people."

He laughs, "You're right, but it's for good reason. I'm the best!"

"Okay, sure bud."

"It's true. I'm helping you right now aren't I?"

"That's true, but it doesn't make you the best."

During the converstation, he managed to rush into the front of the building where your class is being held. He screeches to a stop, bending down and letting you hop off of him.

"How are you not breaking a sweat?" You ask exasperated, legs wobbly on the ground.

"Another reason why I'm the best!"

"I don't know about that."

You check your phone. 2 minutes left. Okay that is quite impressive.

"Let me prove it to you." He leans against the wall next to you, hands in his pockets.

"I have places to be." You say, patting his shoulder and walking in the direction of your class, "Thank you though. I appreciate it."

He watches your retreating figure and cups his hands around his mouth, yelling, "Come by the shop tomorrow! I'm taking you on a date!"

The eyes drawn to both of you due to that yell makes you shrivel into yourself, but you have the confidence to shout back, "What time?"

"Same as today!"

"Okay."

After that, you pick up the pace, dead set on not being late, and not getting anymore embarrassed then you already are.

Sadly, your latter hope was ruined when you hear his gleeful shouts from behind you. You look back to glare at him, but seeing his arms thrown in the air and the smile on his face, you decide to let him be.

Jeez, hopefully that Nanami guy gets rid of him. Although he may not be a good coworker, you have to admit that he's a good person.

Definitely not the best though. You'll stand by that.
