I didn't really think that much about John B, like he was fine he only had a broken arm or wrist I'm not sure but it turns out his going to be living with us like, what the fuck?

I walk past John b's room and see dad and John b in there and Sarah is walking out. She looks at me with wide eyes and kinda speed walks over to me.

"This is real fun." I kinda fake smile to her then walking out the door.

Kie's pov

"sorry, you're staying where?" I ask in disbelief

"Tannyhill." john b states like its nothing.

"so you're living with Sarah and Sydney Cameron?"

"okay, look the only reason I'm living there is because their dad bailed me out, right? and its way better than foster care, which, by the way, is where i was about to go if ward didn't--"

"hey, so do you have a membership to the clubs now?" pope cut john b off.

"I don't know, pope."

"what about those golf carts they drive around? you got one of them?" JJ asks.

"Does it come with a sweater-vest, or do you have to buy one on your own?" Pope and JJ bombard him with questions.

"Look, you promised. You said you weren't with Sarah." I say disappointed.

"Bro, just own it. She got you." JJ states.

"Okay, don't act like you didn't just bone Sydney. So, I really don't wanna here it from you outta all people." Johnb states, kinda getting in his face.

"Dude, what the fuck."

"You what?" I look at JJ in disbelief then rolled my eyes, not letting him try and speak for himself. "Look, if you wanna hang out with them, that's fine. But I'm letting you know now that I'm not doing anything with Sarah and definitely not with Sydney."

"Do you guys see either of them here? No, right. Okay. A little focus would be fantastic. We've got the map, right?"

"It's out of whack 'cause the guy was ganja'd when he drew it." JJ says.

"It's cause the coast has changed." Pope says

"Oh, gotcha."

"So we just have to look for landmarks that haven't changed."
Popes says.

"What about the old forts?" Johnb looks at us.

"Battery Jasper." I state and pope points at it on the map in front of us.

We all start walking out. "Did you for real fuck Sydney Cameron?" Pope asks jj, My stomach sinks.

"No. Of course not."

Sarah's pov

I was walking downstairs when I heard Jake yelling at Sydney.

"Did you forget about that?" He yelled. "You're a slut! You know that? You're a slut!"

Woah, woah, woah, nobody talks to my sister like that.

"Shut the fuck up, Jake!" I walk up next to Sydney and then dad barges in.

"Watch your mouth when you talk about my daughter!" Dad yells, Jake looks at me and Sydney with a moment of disgust before looking back at dad.

"Both your daughter's are banging Pogues—" Jake gets cut off when dad picks him up by his neck, choking him. Sydney and I just look at each other.

"Dad." I say.

"You need to go home, Jake."

"Okay, dad, stop." Syd pushes her self off of the door frame.

Dad brings us both into a comforting hug and Syd starts crying more.

Syd's pov

"So let me get this right, you guys found the gold, but under an axe murders house?" I ask JJ as we walk along the beach together.

"I mean technically, uhh— yeah, I guess." I laugh a bit. "But the well is kinda sketch."

"Now I wish I was there to see it." I smile as we stop walking.

"Well tonight you could be." He grabs both my hands and pulls me closer.

"Are you sure? I'm not tryna get between you and your friends."

"You won't. I'm sure they won't mind plus Sarah's gonna be there." He try's to reassure me but deep down I just know it's a bad idea.

"Kiara said something didn't she?" He tried to say something but I cut him off. "Look, if she's gonna get territorial—"

"Hey, hey, hey, just listen. All right? But you're part of this now. You got us the map for fucks sake. Kie's definitely 100% gonna hate this." He gives me a smile.

"No effing way! You guys brought them BOTH here? So what? They're in on this now?" Kie looks between JJ and johnb.

"I dunno?" Pope shakes his head when they look at him.

"You know, I don't remember taking a vote. This is our thing. A pogue thing." Kie looks directly at me.

"I gotta say, I'm just a tad uncomfortable with All of this." Pope states.

"Thank you!"

"When are you not uncomfortable?" Johnb snaps.

"I dunno. I rode here on the back of jjs bike with Syd pretty comfortably. Like Sydney's hair smells so good and it's soft." Pope says.

"Aw, thanks." I smile.

"It's true. Most relaxed I've ever seen him." JJ speak up.

"You know we were all extremely comfortable until you brought them. Especially her!" She says look directly at me. "Out of everyone, JJ. You just had to pick her! I mean come one you could do better."

"Stop talking about us like we're not here!" I snap.

"Then leave." She says, I scoffs and turn to JJ.

"I told you."

"Told him what, exactly? That your a liar?"

"No, that you're a shit talking bitch."

"my moneys on Syd." JJ whispers to pope holding up a $5 bill.

"Hey! Hey! Look, kie. You're my best friend, right?" Johnb asks. She nods. "And Sarah, you're my..." "go on." "You're my girlfriend."

"Oh now she's your girlfriend? What happened to all that talk that you were just using her to get information and the map?" Kie asks.

"I did not say that." Johnb defends.

"Yeah you did." JJ and pope state.

"You agreed too, JJ. About your little princess over there." Kie says

"so you guys just used us?" I ask.

"Yeah, pretty much." Kie replies.

"Oh my god." Sarah roll her eyes.

"Wait, no it's not like that. Look, I don't know if I can speak for JJ but love just walked in for me. I mean yes it started out like that but it's not like that anymore. I swear." Johnb says and i look at JJ, maybe he'll say something but he kept quite.

"Yeah, okay, im gonna just go." I say getting up and walking out the door.
