Chapter 3

"Inuyasha is always like that, so don't worry. I always have my sit command if he acts up." Kagome laughs. We've been talking for a while, waiting for Isayama to join us. She's not as weird as I thought, but she has a funny story. She's from a different world. One like ours only in the future according to her.

"I imagine you must have to use it all the time." I chuckle again at the thought of Inuyasha being pulled to the ground by the command.

"Oh, you'd be surprised. He can be so annoying and such a jerk." Kagome scrunches up her face at the thought. But my attention turns to the ruffle in the woods next to us. Kagome stays quiet as I duck down to get a closer look without being seen. I lean into one of the boulders and peer over to see a figure walking toward the spring.

"(Y/n), it's just me. No need to be ready to attack." Isayama's voice comes through the dark with amusement. I stand up to see her fully through the pale glow of the moon.

"Well what are you waiting for? Come join us, Inuyasha has to be as exhausting to you as he is to me." Kagome says, waving Isayama to join us. Isa chuckles and begins to undress, the scar on her left eye showing only momentarily before her hair falls back into place. She dips into the water and leans against one of the boulders. Her eyes looking at the moon. On its way to be gone again.

"So, how was it?" Kagome is the first to speak up, but Isa doesn't move from looking at the moon. "Isayama?" Kagome moves to her, where Isa finally looks to her.

"It was just a walk Kagome. Nothing happened. Kuzaki was too afraid to say anything he planned to say due to Inuyasha spying on us." I lean in, cause this just got interesting.

"He was spying on you? How did you know?" I question. Isa points to her dog ears and i mentally smack myself. "Right, hehe."

"He probably just wanted to follow you to finally smack you for keeping us here for longer than he wanted." Kagome states matter of factly, sounding smug.

"Believe it or not, Kagome, Inuyasha has morals. There's no telling exactly what he was doing, but I do believe my brother is more than just his fangs." Isayama's voice is so calm it's taunting. She didn't look at Kagome as she said it, but I could definitely feel her intimidation. Kagome shrinks a little, indicating she wasn't going to say anymore on the subject.

"The moon is bright for almost being gone." I change the subject, looking to the moon. Isa does the same and sighs.

"Wait a minute. The new moon is about to happen. Is that why you wanted to stay?" Kagome asks in a sudden realization.

"Yes. Inuyasha just wants to get back to our village before it happens, but there is no way we would make it on time." I look to them in confusion.

"What's a new moon?" Kagome perks up a little.

"It's when the moon isn't visible in the sky." She chuckles slightly.

"So it's the night of the no moon?" Kagome nods at my question. "Well, what happens on the night of the new moon?" Isayama looks away from the moon to answer my question.

"Because me and Inuyasha are half demons we have a time of weakness, where our demonic abilities fade away. And because we got lucky, we turn completely human on the night of the no moon. I just hope Inuyasha will be alright about staying here for another night." Isa finished her sentence when her ear twitches and she looks in the direction of the woods where she came. She squints her eyes for a moment before taking a sniff of the air.

"What is it?" Kagome's voice comes through with a slight fear in it. Isa shakes her head.

"Just an animal." Kagome loosens back into the water.

"So, what happened here that makes the villagers see you as their god?" Kagome asks in a sudden remembrance. Isayama grins.

"Well, it's kind of a longish story." Kagome leans in to listen. Isa looks to me so I begin telling what really happened.
