(Ukai POV)

Gasping for air, I sit up in my bed. A nightmare? Shit..I havent had a dream like that in months, why does it suddenly decide to come back now?

Tch, it's not even real..nothing to worry my mind about. The creature that keeps haunting my dreams is a mystery. I dont know where it came from, or what it wants from me.

I've never really seen it up close, and if I have, I do not remember what it looks like. It keeps killing off everyone in my way, and in the end..theres only me left.

The sounds coming from it are indescribable. In the moment, it makes sense, but as I wake up I've forgotten. It's like a different language that's only understandable unconscious.

I look at the clock, 5 AM. If I go back to sleep now, I'll have that nightmare again. But, if I decide to stay awake, I'll be tired tonight. I let out a sigh, this'll affect my well being if it continues. Maybe I'm being haunted by evil spirits, maybe it was those who made me get fired. I pouted.

Since I have the say off on sunday, i guess there's no problem. I can just sleep in then. I got out of bed, and put on some clothes. Then I ate an apple that had been placed on the counter.

Outside was dark and depressing, but I could still see glimpses of sunshine coming through. The first sun ray hit my face. I smiled, it felt warm on my cheek as I sat on a chair enjoying the view.

A light shade of pink and yellow filled the sky, it reflected down on the pond in the park.

Suddenly I could feel my phone vibrating, a message from my boss? I looked surprised at the message, on it was written:

"Hello Ukai, I just wanted to say that you did an excellent job yesterday. I didn't get to say this yesterday as you've already went home. I look forward to see your hard work in action in the future as well. Also, I've emailed you your schedule"

A little smile embraced me, I felt happy getting praise from my boss.

(Third person POV)

Weeks went by, and Ukai had it excellent at his new workplace. But what he enjoyed most of all were the company of Takeda. They've become good friends in the short timespan Ukai has worked there.

Takeda would sometimes reward him with a free drink after the customers had left, as he could not drink while working. This evening Ukai had invited him to drink at his place.

(Ukai POV)

I heard a knock on my door as the microwave popped the popcorn I had bought beforehand. I planned on watching a movie that Take-chan was gonna bring with him.

Quickly I opened the door, there he stood with a bag in his right hand and a smile on his face.

"Come in Take-chan, dont just stand there." I chuckled as he took off his shoes and jacket.

"Wow, you didn't lie when you said it was spacious." He laughed teasingly as he handed me the movie.

"Its called Birdbox, it's quite a popular horror movie so I hope you'll like it."
