#The boy who had enough

<Author's POV>

Hwang Y/N was once a cheerful kid. And this attribute of his earned the hearts of almost everyone. All of their neighbors would gradually take turn in babysitting him, or would always borrow the boy and give him a little tour around Seoul. Every birthday, his parents made sure to celebrate it grandly, inviting as many people as possible because for Mr. and Mrs. Hwang, Y/N is a blessing that's worth celebrating and also, they never forgot to share their blessings to others.

But the picture of a one big happy family turns out to only happen in movies, particularly in fairytales. When Y/N turned 8 years old, his father suddenly changed. He would always get home late and drunk, bringing strangers inside their house while his mother is away for work. And those strangers would abuse him purely for fun, while his father was knocked-out cold because of the extreme alcohol and drug intake. He told his mother about the incident but it broke his heart when instead of sympathizing with him, his mother got mad and sided with his alcoholic father. Y/N was then neglected, even when Mrs. Hwang caught her husband red-handed. She did not try to do anything to make the abusing stop. She turned blind about everything to keep the family image safe-- her real prize possession, as what Y/N concluded.

The kid blamed mostly women, for being cunning, selfish, abusive, weak and downright opportunist. Too much words coming from an eight years old, surely his parents failed to protect his innocence. </>

<Y/N's POV>

Minhyun hyung approached us wearing his usual smile. He ruffled my hair in hopes to divert my attention elsewhere. Mind you, he's a sucker for that.

"Not working hyung but thanks." I muttered in my usual tone of voice. Hyung then averted his gaze to Baekho hyung who's busy checking out random girls passing by.

"I don't know what to do with him, really." Hyung sighed in defeat, placed both hands inside his pocket and resumed walking to our destination.

"Baekho hyung we're leaving you." I commented and trailed behind Minhyun hyung in a silent manner. I like to have a peaceful morning walk on my way to hell a.k.a school.

My comment worked, separating Baekho hyung from his wild thoughts about girls. He looked at our back figures, shrugged and followed us as well.

"Eyy~ it's not good to leave a comrade behind." Not too long, Baekho hyung was already walking beside me, ready to annoy me and my peace. Sayonara peace-senpai.

"So Y/N w--" The bell rang, indicating that I am safe from this annoying wild tiger hyung.

"See yah later, Hyungs~ " And with that, I disappeared from their view.

<Author's POV>

Y/N walked to his classroom quietly, he settled at the last row near the windows, placed is bag on top of his desk, and waited for others to fill in.

One by one, the students enrolled in Class 1A arrived inside the classroom. Five minutes had just passed and they already have their own group of friends. Some even tried to talk to Y/N, nevertheless, they were unsuccessful in engaging him for a friendly chit-chat. After the last attempt to invite the seemingly uninterested boy, they eventually gave up and right on time, the room teacher appeared in front of everyone.

"Annyeong Yeorebun, Welcome to my humble home. I will be your Appa for.the rest of the school year, I am Lee Minwoo by the way, nice to meet ya~"

Thanks to the dorky teacher's opening speech, it got the attention of Y/N. He shifted his position, locked his gaze to the teacher but still, he remained his lips tightly shut.

"Okay~ shall we have our morning call? Alright!" Mr. Lee grinned from ear to ear.

"Ahn Heeyeon?"

"Ayo~ present!" A tomboyish looking girl threw her hands up in the air, making the students laugh at her silliness.

"Oh-kaaayy~ One energizer down, how many more to go?" The teacher said happily.

"Ahn Hyejin?"

"Wazzup ~ Wazzup~ Hyejin is in the hawZ~" A very eccentric looking girl with a dorky vibe stood up and did some weird dance beside her seat.

"Eyy~ WazzuPp Hyejin-ssi~ thank you for that." Mr. Lee commented and resumed calling the students' names.

"Ahn Hyojin? Wait.. How many Ahns do we have here?" Mr. Lee chuckled and checked his list again.

"Bae Jinyoung?"

"Present"

"Bae Junyoung?"

"Preseeennnnnt!"

"Baek Yebin?

"Present~"

"My kids are a bunch of good looking lot so far~ You got it all from me! Hehe" Mr. Lee proclaimed.

"Boo Seungkwan?"

"Aju nice! The main character is here! Annyeong ~ Annyeong~ Hello TeacH! Seungkwan, excitedly introduced himself.

"Ahoy! Settle down, cowboy~ I like the energy and I will be looking forward to class, hm? Next..." With head moving side to side, Mr. Lee continued calling names.

"Chae Hyungwon?"

"Here...~" The boy sleepily responded to the call.

"Choi Hansol?"

The boy being called just raised his hand and continued scrolling through his phone.

It seems to Mr. Lee that the boy's not in the mood, so he just let him be for now.

"Choi Jinri?"

"Here!" The girl with a Queen bee vibe, responded.

"Choi Yoojung?"

"Present! . . . and will never be absent!"

"Wonderful! Han Sanghyuk?"

"Present imnidaaaa!"

"Hwang Y/N?" The room became silent, and they're now waiting to hear his voice for the very first time, including the teacher.

"I am here." He coolly stated, making Mr. Lee cough a couple of times to shut the girls from making anymore noise.

"Jung Chanwoo, Jung Eunwoo, Jung Yoonoh, Kang Mina, Kim Dayun, Kim Yerim, Kim Sejeong" All the names mentioned above claimed they're present and it ended the not-so-long list of students in Mr. Lee's care. And the class officially begun, with Math as the first subject. </>
