Part 5

Thinking that one step could potentially kill you, put a lot of pressure on Nigel, but he still felt confident that he could do it. Timothy was a good swimmer and got to the other side in about 10 minutes, no problem at all, but he on the other hand was not, struggling to keep his head above the water, his clothes soaking up a quarter of the river he was in. Finally, after what seemed two hours he felt the bottom of the river touching his cold feet. Staggering out of the river, Nigel was exhausted. Timothy came over to help him out.

After drying himself with Tim, Nigel was determined to keep going, but he was very hungry, so it was hard to go on with an empty stomach. As if Timothy had read his mind, he ran off, "Tim!" Nigel yelled, "where are you?!". Timothy came back with a big Tambaqui in his mouth.

"Tim!, I thought I lost you!" Nigel and Timothy ate the fish in about 2 minutes. Boy, he was hungry!

Walking, Walking, Walking, growing more tired as the days turn into weeks, which turned into months, which turned into years and soon enough Nigel grew too old to keep going, But, He didn't think so, even if he was 63, he still didn't want to give up yet!

One day Nigel was treading through a bush, he saw something move in front of him, through the leaves, he could just make out a human figure, "Yes!" He yelled "Hello?! Can you hear me?!"? After a while of not being with other people, He got REALLY excited!

Nigel and Tim lived with the people of the Amazon for years and years to come.
