One day Nigel went down to the river and came back to their shelter and said "I nearly got bitten on my bum then". Usually Joe would laugh at this because it occasionally happened but this time he didn't, he just lay there. "JOE!" Nigel screamed "no, you can't... no, no, no please no!" He was quivering all over, even the tiger seemed sad.

After Joe died, Nigel wanted to distract himself from the lingering thought, so he decided to give his tiger a name, Timothy, but Tim for short. The day came when they had to cross the raging river. Piranhas, Anacondas, eels and loads of more unidentified creatures. Even if this was the end, he still wanted to do it, he felt as if Joe was watching him, so he wanted to make him proud.
