"KIARA WAKE UP"

The piercing sound of the alarm clock and my mom brought me back from the dead of sleep as I started to wriggle and stretch within my cozy, warm, haven which is my bed, a groan escaped my lips when I heard the sirens of the alarm clock go on again. And after getting out of bed and attempting to murder my clock, I walked slowly down the carpeted stairs which tickled my tired feet a little, as I walked down I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and opened them to see all my family sitting in the dining room enjoying their breakfast.

You might be asking who I am and why I'm here well...

My name is Kie short for Kiara I live with the Mikaelson's, the most dangerous vampire family known on earth, and yes you heard me vampires but what I still don't know is why I'm not like them, I've spent ages looking for a reason but I always end up empty-handed and as of right now I'm just a basic human.

When Hell Fire almost destroyed all Mystic Falls, my mother Caroline Forbes lost her husband Stephan Salvatore and after Stephan's death, she decided to move to New Orleans with my dad Niklaus Mikaelson they soon grew closer and got married and had Kai and Kiara aka me.

So now that you know my backstory let's get back to reality.

"FINALLY you woke up, I need you to throw the garbage it's your day today" mom stated while walking past me to the kitchen me nagging at her comment. Then, not having the energy to speak I waved good morning to my dad getting a headshake in response. "you really need to fix your sleep schedule darling" Why, it isn't even lunchtime yet I made progress today waking up at 12 am I thought to myself before making my way to the front door and opening it to the view of a breathtaking morning, the artistic golden sun got up and started painting the dark black sky into a bright blue sky. The bright-looking milky clouds got up from sleep and started traveling around the sky visiting the wonderful environment.

Next to the mountains and near the forest, a waterfall with ivory white water splashing down to the river as if someone was spilling a glass of milk.

The tan-colored smart chubby farmer with a checked shirt drove along with his tractor on the muddy road. Long, tall brown and green paddy fields look like someone has spread a green dusty carpet and fresh windy cool air started whistling like an invisible ghost. Moreover, the blue and white colored birds with chili-like beaks started twitting their morning melody.

The heart-welcoming butterflies danced all around the environment looking for sweet nectar and the flower's fragrance filled the whole atmosphere making the morning pleasant. But yet again, I had to be interrupted by my annoying older brother. "finally woken up I see" he smirked leaning onto the door frame behind me. I turned around to face him before talking, but it took a while for my eyes to accept the change of lighting "It's barely 12:30 am and look who's talking" I rolled my eyes walking into the kitchen with him following.

"Do we have pizza?" I questioned sitting in-front of my mom on the kitchen bar. "Its morning Kiara!" She snapped in denial obviously trying to get the idea out of my head. "Fine eggs and fruits it is" I scoffed before taking an unpleased bite of my food from the plate mom had just placed below me. "So you excited for today" Mom asked patting my back with a huge grin. Whats today? What are they talking about? OH HOLY SHIT I FORGOT

Were going to meet my new born cousin for the first time, uncle Elijah had his first kid with Hailey and were going to Mystic Falls to congratulate them. "Oh no.." I forgot to pack we are staying there for the rest of the week since its not so close and MY dumbass forgot to pack and get ready. Just perfect Kiara.

Just perfect... I whispered under my breath before getting interrupted. AGAIN

"You forgot didn't you" Kai chuckled Knowingly

"No no, in fact I was just going to get ready right this minute see ya"

I sprinted up the stairs-

"Hey hey hey young lady"

mom spead over using her speed ability stopping me from continuing my run, she held a bag of trash in her hand "garbage first" she warned pointing to the door and handing me the stinky black plastic bag. With a puff  I took it and walked outside making sure that bag is getting no where near me.

A few hours past and I was now struggling to navigate my suitcase to our car,
I stumbled down the stairs until I finally reached the end. "That was tiring" I huffed moving my hair back and pulling it up into a ponytail, when my brother walked in with his stuff, easily showing off, I rolled my eyes while Dad stuffed everything in the trunk and off we go leaving our house behind.

It was currently about 5 pm and we were now in the middle of nowhere, trees surrounded our path and no sign of human nature was around, music at a low volume was playing on the radio as we all hanged calmly in the car, looking outside the window I realized how creepy the road was but it was very calm and soothing to me, being in nature made me happy and feel alive especially when camping, every time I'm near the fire I feel connected, mom said that it was something special but I never knew what it was and I still wonder to this day.

"Kiara...., Earth to Kiara!" Kai waved in front of my face getting me out of my stance. "What's going on?" I asked confused pushing his hand away. "Want some gum" he replied with a chuckle "No thanks- wait, hold up that's my favorite song raise the volume" I rambled and got up to raise it. Sitting back down I gave a wink to my brother before starting to shout the lyrics with dramatic hand movements, he rolled his eyes laughing at me when dad joined in and the rest started vibing to the song while we continued our drive. Best family despite our differences

"Here we are, Mystic Falls" dad hitched looking over at mom which was trying to hold in her emotions, it must have been very hard on her, and I can't imagine what she is feeling right now, going over all these past memories. This is the first time mom and dad come back after what happened so its been technically about 20 years, thats quite some time. On the other hand its mine and Kai's first time here, and I've heard stories about this place, dad made sure they are all good, he didn't want his 5 year old daughter to get phobias and I still laugh to this day at how objective he was about it. I've been told that it was magnificent and as I can see it truly is flabbergasting.

"It's beautiful" I murmured, as we crossed a gorgeous old-built bridge separating the lake. "Oh god...Wickery Bridge" holding back her tears mom sniffled, and that's when Kai moved to place his hand on her shoulder for comfort, he took a sad glance at me and I returned it before we pulled into the driveway of a gigantic mansion

"Holy.. shit"

I know dad's family is rich and all but god that house was extra.

We hopped out of the car and I took in a deep breath taking in the smell of nature. While my dad and brother unloaded the car

"Niklaus" A very deep strict voice spoke, distracting me from my stance. Elijah my brother" Klaus grinned greeting him with a pat on the bag. "Kai is that you" he smiled welcoming my brother "great body you got there my friend, you have grown so much" He continued before greeting my mom and me. "thank you Eli" we don't see my uncles and aunt that much considering they live here, they usually visit but only on vacations and its been about 1 year since last Christmas.

He walked inside with us following behind, me the last one in

"So how have you been anything ne-

"Oh, sweetie Kiara would you close the door behind you please?" he asked kindly pouring bourbon into cups and distributing them. After closing the door, I sat gently next to mom while pulling a strand of hair behind my ear. Mom and I were sitting on a 3 seat couch and dad sat on a brown armchair placed next to the fireplace. On the other hand, Elijah and Kai were on another sofa talking about their life.

"blah blah blah where is my niece for god's sake" Dad interrupted taking a sip from his cup. "she will be down any minute now" He replied when Hailey entered holding a little baby wrapped in a blanket in her arms. "awhh" Mom smiled putting down the cup getting ready to see her. And yes it is a she. "hi guys" Hailey smiled taking a seat between us. We both got closer as we starred at the innocent little baby held beside us. "she is so cute" I spoke getting a smile from the baby's mom. While my mom started making baby sounds to make the kid laugh.

"don't bother she never laughs" Hailey scoffed before dad stepped in asking to hold the baby. "there we go" he smiled placing her on his lap back in his chair. "hey you... what's her name" he questioned caressing her cheek. "Adria" uncle Elijah answered fixing his tie. "hey Adria," Dad said again before placing his finger in front of her letting her wrap her little tiny hand around it. "now listen Adria, you have to promise me no boyfriends before you turn 18 okay?" he warned with a soft smiled plastered on his face as we laughed at his words. And surprisingly she laughed too turning our laughs into awh smiles.

"Why Adria?" I asked adjusting my seating position. "It means strong,noble and powerful, Elijah thought it was a good name and I loved the sound of it so I agreed" she proceeded but a sound of a phone rang when the baby started crying, Elijah answered the phone while Hailey and mom tried to calm Adria down.

"Elijah Mikaelson speeking" the voice drifted away as he entered another room and closed the door. We continued on calming Adria until she drifted back to sleep at dad's sweet lullabies. He is a great dad indeed, despite the things he has done, he is the best dad I could have ever asked for. And I'm happy that he finally has found his niece. I know pretty weird but each brother has a favorite niece Kol has me,Elijah has Kai, and I guess Adria is dad's.

"Yes, Il be right there" Elijah said coming back in and closing the line. "Who was it?" Hailey questioned. "It was the council" all our sights turned to him just at the hearing of these 4 words. "The council? Is everything okay?" Mom inquired. "A kill has been spotted near Mystic Grill and it seemed like a vampire mark." He frustratedly answered pulling his jacket over his shoulders and zipping it up. "But this makes no sense we haven't had a kill in ages" Hailey spoke curious of what might be happening. "Don't worry darling, it's probably a misunderstanding"

After we got settled into our rooms, I decided to go out, I needed a quiet space for me to read, I was never really a very social person and preferred nature instead of a cafe. I'm not the kind of person who lacks inspiration. When life seems dark and overshadowed all I need to do is go out into nature and take it all in. Regardless of the season, I'm always excited to see what Mother Nature had planned for the day. Green leaves, tiny snowflakes shining in the sun, rainy days when the fall begins, and the first flowers of the spring.

Everything is just perfect,

nature is my home,

it always has been.

After finding the perfect spot under a tree in the shade, I sat down and opened my book to start reading. I was currently in one of Mystic Falls' forests and it was so quiet the world seemed absolutely carefree!

Just before I was going to flip a page, sounds of breaking branches filled the aria making me jump. I got up skeptical about the noises as I looked around for any signs of movement. It was calm, almost too calm "Anybody there?!!" I shouted waiting for a response but no words came out and as my voice echoed, while I was turning back, hands snacked around my waist pulling me against a tree leading me to scream my lungs out. "GET OF ME" I spat at the yellow-eyed wear wolf, I tried to wiggle myself out of the stranger's hands.

Roars filled the place as he tried to bite me, and I kept on kicking him trying to escape. "PLEASE LET ME GO" I proceeded but there was no need. The wolf prepared for the kill and I was waiting for the pain but it never came instead in a blink of an eye the wear wolf suddenly was now on the floor squeaking in pain as he ran away making me flash my eyes in relief and fear. Turning my head around, a silhouette of a tall guy was shown

"you shouldn't be here alone, go back home and never come back" a deep voice spoke but before I could say anything he was gone.

After finally arriving home, I took a hot shower
to cleanse my mind after this hectic day and got into some comfy pajama's and as I was combing my hair, mom called me down for dinner and I directly rushed through my process being hungry as fuck. "Coming mom!" I replied sliding down the railing of the stairs as if I was in a musical or something like that.

"Is it pizza??" I asked taking a seat in one of the dining chairs. Everyone was getting settled into their chairs getting ready to eat. Some were placing their napkins while others were pouring drinks into cups and passing food around the table. "No it's not pizza and how many times have I told you not to slide down the stairs like that" she exclaimed before taking a seat. "It's going to be fine" I responded cutting into the juicy steak. She ignored my statement and instead started eating.

Uncle Elijah and Dad were talking about today's kill when mom interrupted dad making him realize what she is talking about. "Don't you have something to tell your kids Klaus"
Mom asked with a fake smile making me raise an eyebrow, and Kai put his utensils down. "Ow yes," he said turning to face the two of us. "Uhm kids, we have some news" he sadly pointed out staring deeply into our eyes. "What is it?" Kai asked taking a sip of water from his cup. "Your mother and I have decided to..." that again. "Oh common is it really that hard to say it, we're not on a Tv show dad just spit it out" I huffed getting bored of their teasing.

"We decided to move back to Mystic Falls"

"What!"
