Hanako called for a meeting, It was actually unnecessary, atleast for the other supernaturals...

Mitsuba: "You're telling me you invited us all here just to play a stupid game of yours?!"

Mitsuba yelled, annoyed

Hanako: "Mhm! Heheheh"

Tsuchigomori: "And whats that empty bottle gotta do with this game of yours? Number 7-sama?"

Hanako: "Were playing spin the bottle!" Hanako giggles.

The rest of the supernaturals just stared at him.

Hanako: "Whaaaaaatt?? It'll be fun! And besides, its not like you have anything else to do!" The ghost says enthusiastically.

The other supernaturals stared at each other, mouthing inaudible words. Then they decided to agree.

It is true, they don't have anything else to do for fun. So they'll play his game. Atleast for now.

Yako: "Fine. But this better be good. Tell us how to play now"

Hanako: "Yay!" Hanako screams.

Hanako: "So, I guess you spin the bottle, and whoever the bottle points at is the one who shall answer any question asked by the person who spinned the bottle. Atleast that's how I heard it."

Hanako: "So! Who wants to spin the bottle first?" He says with a grin.

Yako: "Can I? I've got questions for all of you."

Hanako: "Yyyeeepp! Here you go!"

Hanako passes the bottle to Yako.

Yako spins the bottle just to see it stop towards Tsuchigomori.

Tsuchigomori: "Great, now I've gotta answer a question asked by some stupid fox." Tsuchigomori says sarcastically.

Yako: "Keep quiet emo-spider!" Scolds Yako

Yako: "Now answer me! Why are you so annoying!?"

That was a common question. Since Yako is now living in the boundry of the sensei.
She's always asking that question towards him, but instead of an answer, he just glances at her and continues reading his book.

Tsuchigomori: "Dunno. Maybe cause your such a stupid pain"
He says without hesitation.

Yako: "Why you little.. "

Hanako: "Alright, thats enough you two. Your up number 1!"
He says.

Akane just sat there, looking at his watch, then looks at Hanako.

Akane: "Can't believe I attended this stupid meeting." he mumbles, but it was loud enough for all of the supernaturals to hear, including Hanako.

Hanako: "Welp, you gonna spin this baby or what?" He says, raising the bottle in the air.

Akane: "Fine, geez, your pushy." Akane scolds

Hanako: "I'll take that as a compliment. Thank you, number 1."
He says, smiling.

Akane POV: 'Damn he's
weird...'

Akane spins the bottle, it slows down after ten seconds, and points at Hanako.

Hanako: "Oh well. You can ask me anything now, number 1. Too personal questions shall not be answered." Hanako says calmly with a hint of threat in his voice.

Akane: "Mkay, can't think of anything soooo...

Akane: "What will you do if you could stop time?"

Akane says, unable to think of any other non-personal questions. All he could think of was his own ability, and Aoi-chan ofcourse.

Hanako just stares at him, open mouthed, trying to think of an answer.

Shijima: "Well, lord number 7?"

Hanako: "I.. -"

Hanako is unable to answer the question directly, but he finds an answer after a few seconds of thinking.

Hanako: "I'll flip all the skirts of the girls in Kamome Academy!!!" He exclaims excitedly.

The other supernaturals were surprised, not at his idea of flipping the skirts of all the girls in the school, but his answer.

All the supernaturals in the meeting is aware he has grown fond of his human assistant, Yashiro Nene. A first-year in the highschool division. And all of them is also aware she is going to die soon.

What's his problem? Has he forgotten that? Or he's trying to keep his fondness of Yashiro a secret?

Everyone just stares at Hanako, still surprised.

Hanako: "Whats the problem? You guys look like you've seen a ghost. Not to mention that I am one."

Hanako asks.

They stayed quiet, lost in thought, then Akane decides to break the silence.

Akane: "Y... You better not include Ao-chan you perv!"

Hanako: "Don't worry, I won't" he says with a little laugh.

It stays quiet once more.

This time, Shijima-san breaks the silence.

Shijima: "Something tells me that you have another answer in mind." Shijima says, curiously.

Hanako: "What makes you say that?" Hanako asks innocently, like he knows nothing about Yashiro's life-or-death state.

Shijima: "Yashiro-san-"

Hanako: "What about Yashiro?"

Shijima was cut-off by Hanako's immediate response.
Hanako: "Yes, I am aware of Yashiro's state. But that doesn't mean I can't have my own fun, does it?" Hanako says, smiling, but it is obvious enough that it is a fake smile, just by looking at his eyes.

Shijima: "Aren't you going to-"

Hanako: "No questions unless the bottle is pointed at me again. Remember?" He says while trying to hide his grief.

Shijima has been cut-off again by his immediate answer

Desperate, Shijima whispers to Akane;
Shijima: "Will you help me with this?"

Akane pauses and thinks for a while.

He also wants to know what Hanako has in mind if he's asked whats he going to do if stopping time was for Yashiro's sake.

Akane: "Okay. Only once." he whispers back

Shijima: "I want to spin the bottle next." Shijima exclaims sternly.

Hanako: "Ooh~ Looks like someone got into the game! Alright, here. You. Go!"

Hanako passes the bottle to Shijima-san.

Shijima signals to Akane to stop the bottle once it turns to Hanako. And try to do it unidentified.

Hanako: "Well? Number 4?" (I'm so sorry if I'm wrong I forgot her number eheh-)
Hanako asks.

Shijima: "Here goes nothing."

Right at the moment the bottle points at Hanako -- Akane stops it immediately.

Hanako stares at the bottle calmly, he's aware of what Number 4 and 1 did, but decided to let it slide.

Hanako: "You guys are cheaters. But oh well, what question do you have in mind now?" He asks seriously

All the other supernaturals were surprised once more. Usually, Hanako threatens them whenever they cheat, make a scene, of even embarass him.

Whats with him? They thought.

Shijima: "I..." She tries to find courage to spit out her question

Hanako: "Spit it out before I change my mind." the ghost says playfully

Shijima hesitates

Hanako: "Shijima-san." He calls out strictly.

Shijima: "What are you to do if you would stop time for Yashiro-san?" She Bursts out

Hanako remains silent. A tiny blush forms on his cheeks

The other supernaturals just stare at him, waiting for an answer.

Hanako: "I..."

This time, Hanako is unable to answer directly, but it is obvious he has an answer.

Hanako: "This is feeling like a confrontation than a game..." He whispers akwardly.

After a few hesitations, he answers

Hanako: "If it's for Yashiro... Then..." a darker shade of red forms on his cheek.

Hanako: "I'll stop time for her life to be longer. And to see her smile." he answers quickly.

The other supernaturals just stared at him.

Hanako looks down, and it stays quiet for a few minutes until Hanako decides to end the meeting.

Hanako: "I'm sorry I wasted your time. This meeting's over." He says with a light blush and sadness.

Hanako: "Let's play this another time."

Hanako: "You may all go back to your boundaries now."

After that, all the supernaturals went back to their boundaries.

Later...

Tsuchigomori decides to check on Hanako.

When he gets to the ghost's boundary, the girls' bathroom in the old school building, he finds Hanako next to the window sill, staring at... The school gate? The sky? Tsuchigomori couldn't tell.

Tsuchigomori: "A-"

Hanako: "Hello, Tsuchigomori-sensei." Hanako says with no emotion.

Hanako's expression was emotionless when the sensei came closer. The ghost boy was still and motionless, lost in thought.

Hanako: "You don't come here often. What is it that you need Tsuchigomori?"

Tsuchigomori: "Ah... Nice mind-reading."

Hanako: "It was obvious enough that you needed something. Now, say what you need to say."

Tsuchigomori: "About Yashi-"

Hanako suddenly looks away.

Tsuchigomori: "Whats the matter?"

Hanako: "It's nothing." Hanako exclaims, in his voice was anger, pain, sadness and stress.

Tsuchigomori: "If it's nothing then look at m-" Tsuchigomori pulls Hanako.

He's crying

Hanako stands there, surprised at the pull, he wasn't able to stop it.

Tsuchigomori: "Whats the matter?"

Hanako: "I said, it's nothing"
Hanako yells, looking down.

Tsuchigomori: "Yugi." scolds Tsuchigomori

Hanako falls helpless to the floor. Sobbing.

Hanako: "Yashiro's about to die. And I don't know what to do anymore.." Hanako admits

Tsuchigomori stares at the ghost, wide eyed

"I've never seen him care for someone - a girl - like that before." Tsuchigomori thinks

Tsuchigomori: "You like her, don't you?"

Hanako pauses. He stares at the floor

Hanako: "I... It's.. "

Hanako: "It's obvious, isn't it?" Once again, Tsuchigomori stared at him with awe.

Tsuchigomori: "Ah... I see."

Hanako: "Why are you even still here, sensei?" the ghost asks

Tsuchigomori: "To check on Yugi Amane." he says

After that, Hanako stares blankly at the floor again, his mind full of flashbacks when he was still human. A student at this school, and the first person to change their future.

Tsuchigomori stares at Hanako again.

"I can't believe I'm doing this..." Tsuchigomori thinks aloud

Tsuchigomori: "Hanako-kun... Hanako-kun... Are you there?"

Hanako jolts his head up, his eyes red from crying.

Hanako: "I... I'm here.." he mumbles

Theres silence for a few seconds.

Hanako: "What is your wish, Tsuchigomori-sensei?"

He faces the teacher.

Tsuchigomori: "My wish is you spend much time with Yashiro-san as possible."

Hanako looks at Tsuchigomori, surprised at his wish

Hanako: "W-"

Tsuchigomori: "And you tell her everything she wants to know about you." He says before Hanako could even react or say something.

Hanako: "I..."

Theres silence.

Hanako: "I will grant your wish." He says with a weak smile. The usual smile he wears when he threatens the supernaturals with. Just smaller.

Hanako: "With a price, ofcourse." Hanako says while standing up.

Tsuchigomori: "Then it's settled."

Hanako: "I'll think of a price you have to pay." he smiles mischievously

Tsuchigomori: "Yep. Now thats settled, I'm going now."

Tsuchigomori stands up and leaves the bathroom.
With one last glance at Hanako - he's back at staring at the sky - he walks away.

~°~°~°~°~°Tomorrow°~°~°~°~°

It's lunch time at Kamome Academy. Yashiro sits alone, which is unusual, since she always sits with Aoi, her bestfriend. But Aoi was sitting next to Akane, Aoi's childhood bestfriend.

Hanako: "Ya~shi~ro~!" exclaims Hanako from behind

Yashiro: "Kya!" she screams, startled

Yashiro: "Hanako-kun!" she growls.

Hanako: "Yes~?"

Yashiro: "Don't sneak up on me like that you jerk!" She keeps scolding him about scaring her, but he never listens.

Yashiro: "If I'm going to die soon, I better not die because I was scared to death by you!" she scolds him again.

Hanako: "Okay, okay, I'm sorry." he laughs

Yashiro: "Hmph" she turns away from Hanako

Hanako: "Whatcha eating~?"

Yashiro: "Sushi, isn't it obvious??" she scowled

Hanako: "Are you that mad at me?" he says with his puppy eyes.

Yashiro: "Ugh. I hate it when you make that face. You're forgiven, for now atleast."

Hanako: "Hahaha! Yay! Thank you!"

Hanako glances at Yashiro's food, then looks at her.

She looks... Mad? No... It doesn't seem like it's anger, he thought.

Sadness? Is she sad? Tired? Lonely?

I think its sadness and she's tired the ghost thinks.

Hanako: "Yashiro? Whats with that face? Did your friend get captured by some supernatural again?" He asks worriedly.

Yashiro: "No.. Its not that at all!" she says immediately, just to stop him from worrying

Hanako: "Then what's wrong?" he asks with concern

Yashiro: "I... I'm scared, Hanako-kun." she mumbles

Hanako: "Scared of what? Has the mokke's rumor change again? Has the Misaki Stairs' rumor change too???" he asks, worry, concern, and fear in his voice.

Yashiro: "No! No..." she giggles

Hanako: "Then what?"

Yashiro: "Let me finish. I..."

Yashiro: "I'm scared... Of... D-dying so soon..."

Hanako stares at her. He was also afraid of her dying so soon too. But... The future cannot be changed.

Hanako: "Don't be." he holds her hand.

Hanako: "I'll protect you as best as I can. And I'll help you live your life as best as I can. And I'll also help you extend your lifespan for atleast a few weeks, days, or months." he says with so much care it made Yashiro cry.

Yashiro: "H-hana *hic* ko-kun... "

Hanako hugs Yashiro.

Hanako: "Hey, it's okay, stop crying." he soothes Yashiro.

Aoi: "Nene-chan!"

Yashiro jolts her head towards Aoi.

Aoi: "Nene-chan! What happened?! Did someone bully your ankles again?!" Aoi says while raising her hand up into a fist.

Yashiro: "Oh... No... I just... Cried while reading this sad romance novel!" she lied, but she did have a sad romance novel.

Aoi: "Oh, Nene-chan..."

Hanako was still there, listening, he was surprised at how good Yashiro was at lying

What if she was hiding something from me?

No... Thats ridiculous. The ghost thought

Then Aoi and Yashiro chatted with each other until lunch break ends. And Hanako decided to leave.

-4:30 at the girls' bathroom in the old school building-

Hanako, Yashiro and Kou hung out like they used too.

Yashiro: "When will you ever give us a break???" complains Yashiro, mopping the floor.

Hanako: "When I feel like it~" he says cheerfully.

Kou: "Hanako, I think you shoukd give senpai a break-"

Hanako: "I will once you leave." says Hanako.

That was strange. Yashiro thought, he never lets them leave until they're done cleaning.

Kou: "Ah! You could've said that earlier! Senpai, this is for you!" he says with a smile

Kou walks out of the bathroom.

Yashiro: "Hanako-kun! Your not fair!!!" she complains again.

Hanako: "Relax, you can put the mop down now, Yashiro."

Yashiro was surprised, Hanako never let anyone leave nor stop cleaning.

Hanako: "Whats with that look? You grateful or what?"

Yashiro: "Ofcourse I'm grateful! Just... A little confused. Did you eat something, Hanako-kun?" Yashiro asks

Hanako: "Just so you know, 'Curiosity kills the cat'" Hanako says with a grin.

Yashiro pouts.

Hanako: "Geez, I just wanted to talk to you about something..." he says

Yashiro: "You could've said that earlier." Yashiro smiles

Yashiro: "So, what is it you want to talk about, Hanako-kun?" Yashiro asks, with her casual smile on her face.

Hanako blushes at the sight of Yashiro smiling.

Hanako: "Well, Yashi-" he cuts himself off.

Hanako: "...Nene"

Hanako blushes, and so does Yashiro.

I've never heard him say my first name before... Yashiro thinks.

Yashiro: "What is it Amane-kun?" she says with a grin. She might aswell get back at him by saying his real name.

Hanako: "Hey! That's not fair." he was blushing even harder, He already heard her say his first name in the fake world, but he never expected her to say it again.

Yashiro: "Hehe. Okay, now, tell me what you wanna say Hanako-kun!" she says excitedly.

Hanako: "You already know about my little twin brother, and how I murdered him, right?"

Yashiro was surprised again.

Yashiro: "Hanako-kun... Are you about to tell me things about you?" she says, wide eyed.

Hanako: "Yeah. But o-only a few."

He was embarrassed.

Yashiro: "Hanako-kun, if you're not ready, you can tell me another time, y'know."

Yashiro was always considerate about other people, and that was what Hanako loved about her.

Hanako: "No. I wanna tell you know." he says bluntly

Yashiro: "Hmm... Okay then!" Yashiro was excited, and nervous aswell.

Hanako: "Okay... Here goes nothing."

Hanako's face was all red from telling her everything, but he missed one thing.

It was telling her he likes her.

Yashiro: "Hanako-kun, I have one more question." she says seriously, so serious that it made Hanako sweat.

Hanako: "What is it, Yashiro?" he was nervous at this question.

Yashiro: "If I die... " she starts

'Please don't say that' Is what Hanako wants to say, but he decided he'll hear her out.

Yashiro: "Will you come look for me? A-and.. Make me one of the Seven Mysteries?" asks Yashiro, with a little bit of nervousness.

Hanako stares at Yashiro for a few minutes, having a lighy blush on his cheek.

Yashiro: "N-never mind, that was a stupid ques-"

Hanako: "Ofcourse, Yashiro. You are my assistant after all." Hanako says with a smile on his face

Yashiro blushes.

Yashiro: "Thank you, Hanako-kun!" she exclaims happily.

Hanako: "Yash-"

Announcer: "It is now 5:30, will all the students left at the school, please go home? I repeat..."

It was time for Yashiro to say goodbye to the ghost

Yashiro: "Oh, I-I have to go, Hanako-kun." as Yashiro hurriedly gathered her things, she looked at Hanako again.

Yashiro: "Thank you for telling me the things I wanted to know about you, Hanako-kun." she says with a smile on her face.

This smile of Yashiro's made Hanako's heart melt. Even though he was already dead, he felt a little bit of warmth in his cheeks and chest.

He wanted to see Yashiro smile like this a little longer.

Hanako: "Your welcome, Yashiro."

Yashiro just stood there, with the same expression on her face, she was motionless.

Hanako: "Yashiro?" he calls out

Hanako: "Nene?" he calls out again.

Hanako: "Hello~? Little daikon??"

No response

Hanako looks outside the window sill just to see everyone was frozen.

What happened? Thought Hanako.

As the ghost scans the area, his eyes landed on Akane-kun. Number 1 of the Seven Mysteries. Akane looks up towards the girls' bathroom in the old school building and sees Hanako.

Akane raises his right hand up, with all his fingers out.

On his left hand was his watch, his watch that he uses to stop time. Hanako realizes what Akane has done for him.

He stopped time just so Hanako could look at Yashiro. And Akane's timing couldn't have been better.

Hanako then realizes he has five minutes 'til time comes back running again.

Hanako: "Silly Yashiro... You didn't let me finish..." he whispers as he walks towards Yashiro.

Hanako: "I forgot to tell you one more secret..."

Hanako: "I like you, Yashiro Nene." he whispers gently.

His face was just a few inches away from Yashiro's face.

So he took the chance to kiss her on the forehead.

Hanako: "I like you, Yashiro. And I don't know if you feel the same way but..." he knew Yashiro couldn't hear him say these words, but he said them anyway.

Hanako: "I hope you feel the same way about me too." he says that while placing a little kiss on her lips.

Hanako: "It's better this way. This way I won't risk our friendship." he whispers

He places another kiss on Yashiro's cheeks and went back to his windowsill

Hanako: "4 minutes 'til time is running again..."

Yashiro was unaware of what Hanako said, or did, yesterday, since she was frozen.

Yashiro's POV~

I can't help but blush whenever I touch my lips, weird...

Hanako: "Yashiro!" he startles Yashiro again, in the middle of her class.

Yashiro's classmates stared at her, confused.

The Teacher: "Miss Yashiro?" he asks

Yashiro: "I uh... I'm sorry, may I go to the bathroom..."

She escapes class with Hanako following her

They're down the hall when Yashiro starts to scold Hanako

Yashiro: "Hanako-kun! I said stop scaring me!" she starts

Hanako: "I'm sorry~ I didn't know you were jumpy." he jokes

Yashiro: "Hmph! Your not forgiven!"

Hanako: "What's a ghost gotta do to be forgiven?" he asks innocently

Yashiro was about to speak when she suddenly bumps in to someone.

Yashiro: "Kya! I'm so sorry!"

Tsuchigomori: "You're forgiven. Aslong as you didn't run."

Yashiro looked up to see Kou's homeroom teacher, Tsuchigomori.

Tsuchigomori: "Skipping class?"

Tsuchigomori looks around to see Hanako beside Yashiro

Tsuchigomori: "Number 7, when I said 'spend as much time with Yashiro-san as possible', I didn't mean to lead her out of class." he says

Hanako: "I didn't lead her out of class, I saved her from class!" he says jokingly

Tsuchigomori: "Yeah, sure. You kids be careful, stupid fox is roaming the school and she's cranky." warns the sensei.

Hanako: "We will~ And besides, if she does anything, its udon time for her." he threatens.

Yashiro: "Please don't, Hanako-kun."

Hanako: "I'm kidding. Now let's go to the bathroom!" he screams excitedly.

Tsuchigomori: "Kids..."

And they part ways...
