Chapter 9: your alive

"Disappeared, He must have seen us closing in unless I'm wrong and I'm never wrong there headed dead into the fire swamp." Hawkmoth said and at the mere mention of that place all of his men go pale, two bodies lie a few feet apart from each other not moving as if they were corpses, after a few seconds Adrien slowly crawls towards Marinette "can you move at all?" he asked "(weakly stretching out an arm towards him) move? your alive if you want I can fly." "I told I'd always come for you," "I can't believe I was fooled by this stupid mask," she said noticing that his ring had fallen off and his cat costume was gone "why didn't you wait for me?" he asked in a bit of a sad voice "well...you were dead," Marinette said "death can't stop true love, all it can do is delay it for a while." "I will never doubt you again kitty," Marinette said "there will never be a need," he said and then the two were locked in a passionate kiss "oh no don't tell me their kissing again," Chris complained once again interrupting the story "you know someday you might not mind so much," the grandfather said "go to the fire swamp that part sounded good," Chris said munching on a sandwich "oh you're sick, I'll humor you." The grandfather said resuming the story, "ah oh okay Adrien and Marinette raced along the ravine floor." "Ha. Your pig fiance is too late, a few more steps and we'll be safe in the Fire Swamp." Adrien said noticing that Hawkmoth and his men were still following them, "we'll never survive." Marinette said in a concerned voice "nonsense your only saying that because no one ever has," Adrien said as they ran towards a large forest.

Eventually, the two enter the fire swamp And it doesn't look any worse than any other moist, sulfurous, infernal horror you might run across. Great trees block the sun. Marinette is terrified and grabs Adrien's arm for comfort "it's not that bad," Adrien said receiving a 'are you serious' look from his lady " I'm not saying I'd like to build a summer home here, but the trees are quite lovely."
