***May Be Triggering, Includes Self Harm***

Michelle's POV

I gripped the microphone even harder....

"MICHELLE!" Christina announced as a wave of relief washed over me.

I smiled in shock and thanked her. I was literally shaking! I couldn't believe it. I went down to her red chair and hugged her. After I thanked Christina, I gave a quick wave to the audience and walked toward the doors to exit the stage. My nude pumps clicked on the floor with each slightly shaky step that I took. I was still in complete shock! I thought I would be heading back to my dreadful home in Beverly Hills! I know exactly what you're thinking right now... Beverly Hills!? 90210?! ummm dream life! haha no... think again... not with my torn, messed up family life...

I continued to stride over to the doors. As I approached them, one of the backstage managers flung open the door and let me through. I handed him the shiny microphone and kept strolling towards the hallway. I was still in shock! 

"Of all people the Christina Aguilera chose me!" I thought to myself, while I continued walking down the hall.

I immediately headed over to the Team Xtina lounge and attempted to pull open the door. Before I could even open the door and get a chance to fully step inside, Jacquie pulled me into a hug. This girl was just like a sister to me! Even though I just met her. It's crazy how someone you just met could literally become pretty much your best friend. Jacquie and I strolled over to the couch wondering if Nicole would be saved by one of the other coaches... 

Next Day

"Up next to battle it out right here on Team Xtina is.... JACQUIE!" Carson announced to the audience...

I was sitting up in the Team Xtina lounge once again with the other members of Christina's team that had already made it through. We are finally approaching the last battle of the whole team. Jacquie. I really hope that she will make it through and will advance to the knockout rounds! I don't have a doubt in my mind though! This girl is utterly amazing! 

"Versing BRIANNA!" Carson boomed into the microphone.

Both girls took the stage, belting out House of the Rising Sun. I quickly took a breath as Jacquie opened the song, followed by Brianna.

The song came to and end as the audience roared! And I do have to say, Jacquie was amazing! Just as I had expected! I really hope Xtina thinks the same way! 

Blake, Adam, and CeeLo gave their notes and critiques but once again the ulitmate decision was up to Christina. 

"You both were unbelievably amazing, you know?!..." Christina told the girls.

Oh, here she goes again with the "you know" stuff! I giggled to myself.

"But ulitimately, I'm looking for the voice to win this competition and that would be..." Christina said while still thinking...

My eyes were glued to the TV in the Team Xtina room. All of us, the rest of Christina's team and I were throwing out our predictions and guesses. I clenched onto the arm rest of the leather couch as Christina began to speak again... At this point, I don't know if I was more nervous and anxious for my own battle or Jacquie's battle! 

"hmmm JACQUIE!" Christina smiled. 

Jacquie looked up from her feet, shocked. She was beaming with excitement. Christina got up from her chair and walked over to Jacquie. Both girls met in the middle and hugged, while Jacquie thanked Christina multiple times. They broke from the hug as Jacquie started walking off the stage, her red heels clicking with each step. 

Jacquie swung open the door to the lounge as all of Team Xtina and I congratulated her. I ran up to her and engulfed her into a bone - crushing hug! We quickly took our seats as we waited anxiously to see if Brianna would be stolen by another coach. Right before our eyes, Ceelo pressed his button!

"Brianna, stolen by Ceelo!!!" was announced as Brianna thanked him. 

Since the shows taping had just came to an end we all continued to talk. Within a couple of minutes Christina came in and congratulated all of us. She also added that we would be getting out knockout round performance pairings tomorrow at rehersal.

Jacquie and I got ready to go back to our suite... As we were walking I began to break the silence, it wasn't an awkward silence though... we were both just pretty tired...

"So I really hope we won't have to go up against eachother for the knockouts!" I said hesistantly.

"No worries! Hey, if we could get past it one time we could probably do it again!" Jacquie giggled.

"Yeah! haha! and also I'm actually really excited because we get one on one time with just Christina to practice! I'm really looking foward to that!" I told Jacquie. 

"Yes! I forgot! Me too!" She informed me.

We made it up to the door of our suite. I tapped in our pin code into the gold key pad to unlock the door. I entered each number 12-50-34-2, followed by a beep and flashing green light. Jacquie grasped the door knob and pulled it open. 

I excused myself to change. I quickly switched out of my outfit, dark jeans, a leather jacket and a pink tank top and into my sweatshirt and sweatpants. I hopped onto my bed and plugged in my phone as I said good night to Jacquie. 

"Good night!" she tiredly replied back to me.

Kind of a filler chapter! I'm really sorry! Next chapter will have MUCH more action so keep reading! haha!

I have a test in school everyday for the rest of this week! :(

I made this chapter to kind of break up the upcoming events so that everything doesn't happen way too fast! Next chapter will be good!

I will most likely be updating Thursday or Friday night! I need to study! haha lol! I hate school!

Updating either one of those nights no matter what but...
