Simons POV

"Mummy, why is daddy crying?" Angelo asks tugging on Adele's shirt. She doesn't answer him, I don't know if she's mad or shocked. I don't even know what's going on in my brain. "Where are we going?" He asked not getting an answer.

"Just shut up Angelo." Ashlyn yells, "if you can't tell they are stressed out right now. They aren't gonna answer you." She angrily proclaimed, getting sick of Angelo asking a million questions.

Adele and I take the kids hands and head to her private plane that was waiting for us to board.

"Mummy!" Angelo whines not giving up, "what's going on?" He asks as Adele puts him in a seat next to her.

"We're going back home. To London, daddy needs to deal with something." Adele says faking a smile.

Angelo nods his head understanding that, that something wasn't a good thing.

I place myself in a seat by the window, on the opposite side of where Adele and the kids are. I need some time away from them, to just clear my head.

"Hey," Adele calmly says sitting down in the seat beside me.

I look at her as tears still fall from my eyes. I stay silent looking back out the window, I don't know what to do. I feel a gently rub on my leg, turning Adele concerningly looks deep into my eyes.

"I, I, I have a daughter." I repeat over again, "how did I not know sooner." Adele continues to protectively rub my thigh, "and she kept me for her for so long, I should have known about this sooner. Know my ex is dying in the hospital, and she just now tells me I have a kid. This isn't fair." I raise my voice.

"Shhh," Adele whispers, "calm down honey." She glances back at the kids, they are watching some movie.

"I can't, you aren't the one that just found out you have a daughter you never knew about, now are you?" I snap at her. She flinches leans back, taking her hand off my thigh, not used to my attitude.

"I'll leave you alone for a little bit, sorry." She says slowly getting up.

I take her hand just as she's about to get up, "No Adele. I'm sorry, I didn't mean that. I'm just st-"

"Stressed. Yeah, I know, you got lots going on in your head right now. I'll give you some space." She says yanking her hand away and walking over to the kids.

Great. Now, what have I done? I don't want Adele mad at me on top of this all. I bury my head in my hands and before I know it I've silently cried myself to sleep.

Adeles POV

"Babe, baby." I whisper to Simon who's still sleeping, "Simon!" I yell now shaking him. He jumps straight up and grabs me.

"I'm here. I got you Adele, no worries." He says wide awake getting ready to fight.

"Honey, what are you doing." I chuckle, "the plane landed. We have to get down."

***

"Bye mummy. Bye daddy. Hope you have a fun vacation." Angelo excitedly says, glad to be back in England.

"They aren't going on vacation dork," Ashlyn says walking into our house.

"Yeah huh. That's what mummy told me, and that's why grandma had to stay with us." Angelo says sticking out his tongue.

Ashlyn rolls her eyes, and here we go again. Back to the good old days.

"Stay safe," Penny says walking up to Simon and I, hugging us each. "Good luck." She whispers in Simons' ear.

I mouth a thank you to my mum as Simon and I walk out the door.

We reach the hospital and head inside the big white doors. The doctor shows us to Clary's room, walking inside and motioning us to follow him.

"Simon... I'll wait out here.." I say, knowing that this is Simon's ex-wife, the women who almost was once the love of Simons life, and not wanted to face her.

He nods in understanding and takes a deep breath slowly walking in.

Simons POV

I step into the hospital room and my eyes immediately lock with Clary's, as all the memories, both good and bad come rushing back.

"Si-Simon? Is it really you?" Clary asks in a hoarse whisper. I nod, running over to her.

"Simon, you don't know how happy I am to see you." She pauses and takes my hand.

"Why didn't you tell me about the kid earlier Clary." I snap.

"I..I, that doesn't matter right now Simon. Just please take care of our daughter, please Simon. I have no one else to turn to." She begs.

"Clary, I have a life now. I have a family. Two beautiful daughters, and one son. I even have two more babies on the way, and I'm about to marry the love of my life I just," I pause trying to come up with the best way to phase this. "Isn't there someone else better that can take care of her. "

"Simon, please. I know you have a happy and wonderful life, and I understand that you don't even know her, but she's your kid too Si-" She stops and begins to cough, "Simon ,just promise me you will take care of her at least till you find someone who will love her as much as I do. I'm trusting you with this Simon." She weakly whispers, with tears in her eyes.

"Please Simon."

I slowly nod and sit at the edge of her bed.

"Thank you so much, after all the pain I've caused you. I'm truly thankful for our kid you blessed me with." She smiles, "plus, she's really excited to finally meet you." She says squeezing my hand and continuing to speak.

I look down, not listening to what Clary was saying, lost in my own thoughts. I look back up and interrupt her mid-sentence, "What's she like... what's my daughter like."
