Quick authors note. Now I know I changed the practice match to involve you. It still has the same outcome but is achieved in a different way. This is just a heads up.

Oh, and when I use '_' the apostrophes it's more like me adding in extra information.

I use characters names in there who you may have not talked to yet just to make both mine and your life's easier.

"Hey, Kenma you can't just walk away like that, we're in a new place you could get really lost," Kuroo said.
"Oh sorry, Kuroo" Kenma replied looking at Kuroo and back at an orange-haired boy.
"Hey Kuroo, wait up for me idiot!" Y/n called running up to the three, "Jeez Kuroo you gotta tell me when you start to run off" Y/n crossed her arms and pouted. The orange-haired boy walked up to her and said, "you shorter than me!". He seemed somewhat excited.
Y/n looked up and said, "tch, yea and so what".
Kuroo laughed patting her head, "everyone's taller than you f/n".
"Not everyone" she replied her arms still crossed.
"Then who's not" Kuroo smirked, eerily waiting for a reply. But all he was met with was silence and then a faint 'tch'. Kuroo laughed again and turned around to walk away. Kenma said bye to the orange-haired boy who, according to Kenma, was named Hinata. Y/n stomped off to leaving Hinata alone.

The gym with filled with chatter and the bang of the ball landing on the floor. The match was about to start.
"Hey look there's someone on their team who's as shorter than Hinata." The boy with the shaved head said.
"They don't seem to be a Libero though," The mean-looking black-haired boy said.
"He's probably just a bench warmer" the tall blonde haired male snickered. Behind a small giggle could be heard from a smaller green-haired boy.
The whistle was heard and the game was about to start. 'On Karasuno's starting lineup there is Hinata, Kageyama, Tanaka, Daichi, Asahi, Tsukishima and Nishinoya. On Nekoma's starting line up there is Kuroo, Kai, Yaku, Yamamoto, Kenma, Fukunaga and Y/n'.
"I guess the shorty is in their starting lineup," The shaved head male said.

The game started. Things were going well. Nekoma had a steady lead. Everything was going smoothly. The ball was on the other team's side. Y/n stared intensely at the ball. Then in an instant, the ball was gone. It's like it just disappeared. She then heard the bang of it hitting the floor behind her.
"Woah! How did you do that! That's so cool!" Y/n said to the ginger in front of her. The ginger stood with a huge grin.

Hinata's POV.

The ball seemed to be in our favour. It was about to land when their Libero got it in the air. The ball went to their setter who passed it to the small middle blocker. He was even smaller than me. Tanaka, Daichi and me were all blocking. There was no way he can... the ball, it's gone.

I turned around to see it on the floor and the team celebrating. He was able to smash it past us. That much raw power.

3rd person

"Woah!!" Y/n heard from behind her. She turned around to see the ginger. "You're not the only shortie with a secret power" she grinned.

The rest of the match went well. It ended with Nekoma winning. Halfway through the match, Y/n had been swapped with Inuoka to combat Hinata and Kageyama's quick. But the time she played y/n had a blast. She knew she would be on and off when playing but she was okay with it. She didn't realise how much fun it was until now.
"Hey f/n" someone said from behind. Turning around and saw Hinata, "your skills are so cool. And your even shorter than me!"
Y/n grinned, "haha, well your quick was awesome too. You were like zoom and pow!" They talked for a while before having to pack up and leave.

"Hey y/n!" Kuroo said, running up to her.
"Oh, heya Kuroo" she smiled.
"Sooo, what are you going to do about tonight" he smirked.
"...tonight?" She said stopping in her tracks.
"Don't tell me you forgot" he pouted, "we're-"
He was cut off by Kenma, "going to Yaku's tonight."
"Kenmaa" Kuroo whined, "but yea the whole team's going"
She stopped thinking before it clicked, "Oh god yea, ahah forgot about that" she scratched the back of her head.
"Well I'm not going to be able to help you all the time," he said lifting his head.
"Okay," she said humming to herself.
"J-just okay" he pouted.
"What do you want me to beg. Oh woe me dear Kuroo please help me out" she said mockingly.
"Not funny," she said crossing his arms.
"Oh, it was" she laughed.

Everyone was hanging out at Yaku's place laughing and having fun. They talked about films, interests and their type of girls. Y/n just made up everything as she went along hoping it didn't sound suspicious. Luckily it went well. Everything was going well until everyone was getting into their pyjamas. Y/n had snuck away to the bathroom to get ready. She was humming to herself and getting ready when the door opened. She whipped around ready to kill Kuroo or Kenma but instead saw someone else.
"H-hey Yaku, what are you doing walking in when someone's getting ready," she said trying her best to act confident.

'Why the hell is it so hard to act confident. I did perfectly fine with Yamamoto and Lev. Maybe it's because I'm in his house. Yea that's it.'

"The door was unlocked," he said not fazed one bit.
They stared at each other for a moment before y/n said, "y-you do realise I'm a girl right?". Yaku walked up to y/n and flicked the smaller girls head, "Of course I do, I'm not stupid" he laughed.
"...How long have you known!" She said while holding her forehead.
"I've known since the day we bumped into each other" he smiled, "but what I wanna know is why you're doing this?"
"I don't really have an answer to that. I just... wanted to"
"That's a dumb answer," he said, "but I won't pester you" he smiled, "y'know you should just come out and tell the rest of the team. It's not like they're gonna kick you out" he held his hand out. That smile. That damned smile kicked out any negative emotions y/n had. She nodded and took his hand letting him lead her out.
