good, great

Its been a few months now. Connors plan is still working. Eddie is still heartbroken. Its a hot day in July, and Richie misses Eddie. He hasn't seen him much the last couple of months. So he decides to call him.

After 3 rings, he picks up. "Hello?"

"Hi eds!"

"Oh, hey Richie."

"What's up, I haven't seen you all summer."

"Yeah I've been uh, busy."

"Well, do you wanna hang out?"

Eddie pauses, thinking about making an excuse, but he caves. "Sure! You can come over if you want, my moms not home."

"Great, see you in a few."

About ten minutes later, Richie knocks on Eddies door. Eddie runs downstairs and opens it, revealing Richie with his dumb smile that Eddie loves so much. Richie hugs Eddie immediately. Eddie hugs back, sighing.

"Well, come in-" Eddie says after pulling away.

They make their way to Eddies room and sit down.

"How've you been?" Richie asks.

"Good, great." Eddie lies.

"That's great! I was just-" Richie starts, about to tell Eddie a story, but his phone starts ringing. Connor.

"Hey Connor-"

"Richie. Why are you at Eddies house without telling me?" Connor spats out. He's being so loud that Eddie can hear his name being said through the phone. He picks his knees up and wraps his arms around them.

"I told you I was gonna be out today. Why does it matter?" Richie replies and rolls his eyes. He looks exhausted. Like this happens all the time.

They keep bickering through the phone until Eddie loses it.

"Just go, Richie! Go fucking make up with Connor, why did you even come here?" He says loudly, his voice breaking.

Richie goes silent and sighs. He can imagine Connors smile in hearing what Eddie said. Richie hangs up the phone and walks out of Eddies house.
