One movie later, Eddie is about to cry. He keeps thinking about how Connor is Richies soulmate. How Eddies soulmate is some other guy out there, someone who could be the farthest thing from Richie, or someone who's just like him. He's not sure which would be worse. Richies constantly checking his phone.

"I'm gonna use the bathroom." Eddie announces to Richie with a shaky voice. Richie nods, occupied by his phone.

Eddie shuts the bathroom door and lets the tears fall down his face. He pulls out his phone and calls Bev.

She answers on the first ring, "Hey Eddie, how's the sleepover going?"

"I cant do it Bev, I cant."

"Eddie..."

"Nothings the same. Nothing will ever be the same, Bev. We cant be friends, not when it hurts this bad."

Eddie hears Bev sigh through the phone.

"Listen, I- I think you should tell him the truth. At least so he knows why you cant see him anymore. And then just, stay away for awhile while you get your feelings back on track. You won't feel like this forever."

Eddie feels like he could puke, but Bev is right. He hangs up and walks back to Richies room.
