Merissa pov

I walked back over to the table and pretended that I didn't see what just happened since they were both wiping ice cream off their noses.

"Hey guys what did I miss?" I asked pretending to not know what I saw.

"Oh nothing" Y/n says chuckling.

"Yeah nothing at all" 2D says while chuckling and blushing.

"Ok" I say while shrudding my shoulders.

But when I saw that 2D was blushing again I knew I had to set these two up. Not sure how though, but I'll think of something.

After a while of eating my ice cream I was finished.

"I'll be right back I'm gonna throw my stuff away" I say while getting up.

"Want me to take your trash for you 2D" I offered.

"Thanks love I appreciate it" says 2D while he handed me his trash.

"I'll be right back" I say while getting up.

While me and Merissa waited for Y/n to come back we began to talk.

"So 2D what do you think of Y/n" Merissa asks in curiosity.

"Well, Shea really nice" I say.

"Is that all?" Merissa asks in disappointment.

"Uh...what do you mean?" I asked in confusion.

"Don't you think that Y/n is pretty?" Merissa asks with a smirk.

"I...uh...well" I struggled to answer.

"You can be honest with me" says Merissa.

"Well...yeah she's pretty" I say while blushing.

"Let me give you a heads up about something" says Merissa.

"Heads up about what?" I asked in curiosity.

"She's single" Merissa says while smirking.

I blushed more to find out that Y/n is single but I shook off those thoughts.

"Oh...that's nice" I say while blushing.

"Yeah so you have a chance with her" Merissa says while smirking.

"Huh?" I say in shock.

"If you like her you still have a chance" says Merissa.

"Uhh...can we change the subject" I asked feeling nervous.

"Alright" Merissa says in disappointment.

I know that 2D likes Y/n but he's just denying it hopefully I can either set them up or they can develop feelings for each other on their own.

"Hey guys I'm back are we ready to go?" Y/n asks while still standing.

"I'm ready" I say while standing up.

"So am I" 2D says while standing up.

So all three of us walked out of the food court and found the exit of the building.

After we got outside.

"I had fun with you guys today" says 2D.

"We had fun to" I say with a smile.

"Well see ya" 2D says while he waved at us and walked the opposite way of where we were going.

Me and Merissa waved back at him and we started to head back to my house.

Y/n and Merissa arrived to Y/n's house and sat in the living room.

"Today was alot of fun wasn't it?" Merissa asks.

"Yeah it sure was, I can't believe we actually met 2D from Gorillaz" I say in amazement.

"Yeah I know it was crazy but awesome at the same time it's not everyday that we can talk to a famous singer" says Merissa.

"Yep" I nodded.

"Did you get to know him while I went to the restrooms?" I asked in pretend curiosity.

"Just a little" says Y/n.

"What did you found out about him?" I asked.

"Not very much but only that he doesn't have a friend" Y/n says with a sad tone.

"You mean he doesn't get along with his band mates?" I asked in confusion.

"Well no nothing like that, all he told me was he wished that he had a hangout friend, you know someone he can talk to and hang out with just like how I have you" says Y/n.

"Ohhh ok" I say.

"But me and him did exchanged phone numbers" Y/n says.

I was shocked to hear what Y/n just said.

"Wait...you exchanged phone numbers with him?" I asked in shock.

"Yeah" Y/n nodded.

"Omg girl that's awesome" I say in excitement.

"It's no big deal" Y/n says chuckling.

"What do you mean it's no big deal, it's a huge deal" I say.

"You're probably just saying that because he's the lead singer off Gorillaz" says Y/n.

"Well that but that's not all" I say.

"What do you mean?" I asked in curiosity.

"What I mean is that you can possibly date each other in the future" says Merissa with a exciting tone.

"Merissa how many times do I have to keep saying this no guy will ever go out with me" I say with a sad tone.

"Y/n, no thinking negative" Merissa says with a pretend cross look on her face.

"Sorry" I say.

"But still Merissa we probably won't get that far were probably just gonna stick as friends" I say.

"You never know Y/n things might become different in the future" says Merissa.

"I guess but I don't want to get my hopes up you know" I say.

"Yeah I get what you're saying" Merissa nodded in understandment.

"And besides even if I did like him that way he probably doesn't want to have another girlfriend because remember a while back his ex girlfriend Paula cheated on him with Murdoc" I say.

"Oh yeah I remembered that I felt sorry for him back when I heard about it" Merissa says while frowning.

"Me to" I nodded.

"But anyway it sucks that tomorrow we have to go back to work" Merissa says complaining.

"Yep but we have to whether we like it or not" I say.

"I know" Merissa says groaning.

"Build a bridge and get over it Merissa" I say while laughing.

"I hate when you use that phrase" Merissa says with a playful glare.

Then Merissa starts laughing along with me.

Evening came and I was laying in my bed still thinking about the events that happened today.

I had alot of fun today I just couldn't believe that I met the girl from the Karaoke Bar and finding out her name then eating lunch with her and her friend it was so much fun.

"Y/n...Y/n...Y/n" I kept repeating without thinking.

But then I realized what I was doing and started blushing.

"C'mon 2D snap out of it will ya" I say to myself while rubbing my eyes.

Then I remembered we exchanged phone numbers so I picked up my cell phone and stared at it thinking if I should text her now or wait until tomorrow.

"I...I guess it won't hurt to try and talk to her" I thought to myself.

2D: Hey it's me 2D.
    
                                      Y/n: Oh hi 2D how are you?

2D: I'm good thank you, I just wanted to say that I had alot of fun with you and Merissa.

2D: If your not busy do you wanna hang out tomorrow?
                                  
                                     Y/n: I wish I could but I have to work tomorrow:/

2D: Oh ok no worries if you don't mind me asking where do you work?

                                    Y/n: I work at the Cafe.

2D: Ohhh that's cool what time do you go to work?

                                    Y/n: I go to work at 9 and get off at 5 why?

2D: Can I come and see you at work like maybe at around 12 or something?

                                    Y/n: Sure I'm usually on lunch break at 12 so that's perfect.

2D: Alright cool👍

                                    Y/n: Do you need me send you the location of the Cafe?

2D: No luv I know where it is since it's the only Cafe in this town lol😂

                                    Y/n: That's true I didn't think of that lol 😂🤣

2D: Alright I'll see you tomorrow luv.

"Omg omg omg he's coming to see you at work tomorrow how exciting" Merissa says excitingly.

"Oh Merissa" I say while shaking my head.

I was excited at the thought of 2D coming to see me at work tomorrow.
