Y/n pov

The next day

Me and Merissa were at a park that has beautiful Sakura trees, a big pound that was filled with ducks either swimming in the water or just sitting around on the ground, and it has a playground for kids.

Luckily it wasn't to crowded since it was Monday and most of the adults were at work and kids were in school.

Me and Merissa were throwing cracked corn to the ducks, it was so cute and funny to watch them waddle, quack, and eat.

I took a deep breath and let it out.

"Ahhh, what a lovely day" I say with a big smile.

"Yeah" Merissa nodded.

"I love coming here" I say.

"Me to" Merissa says with a soft smile.

"Remember when we used to come here all the time as kids?" I ask.

"Yeah I do" Merissa nodded.

After a while, we were done feeding the ducks and decided to walk around.

"We should've invited 2D and the others" says Merissa.

I blushed when Merissa mentioned 2D.

The the memory of the dream I had last night came into my head which caused me to blush more.

I didn't realize that I was in deep thought and Merissa was trying to catch my attention.

"Y/n...Y/n...earth to Y/n" Merissa says while snapping her fingers in my face.

I snapped out of it and shook my face.

"Huh...what...oh Merissa...sorry I must've spaced out" I say embarrassingly.

"Dude, are you ok?" Merissa asks in worry.

"Yeah...yeah I'm fine" I lied.

"Y/n...I know you're lying" Merissa says while crossing her arms.

"I'm not" I denied.

Then Merissa raised her eyebrows while her arms were still crossed.

"Y/n...tell me what's going on with you" says Merissa.

"I just told you...it's nothing" I denied.

"Y/n, I've known you since we were in diapers so I can tell when you're lying or not" says Merissa.

"Man, she's smart" I thought to myself.

"So, what's going on?" Merissa asks.

"Umm...well" I struggled to answer.

"You can tell me, I promise I won't tell anyone" Merissa says while placing her hand on my shoulder.

"Well...ok I'll tell you...but promise me that you won't tell anyone... especially 2D" I say while blushing.

"Why don't you want 2D to know?" Merissa asks in confusion.

"You'll know once I tell you...but you have to promise to not tell anyone" I begged.

"I promise" Merissa says sincerely.

"And don't go all crazy" I say sarcastically.

"Ok ok, just spit it out" Merissa says impatiently.

Narrator pov

Y/n tells Merissa about the dream she had last night, she also explains that when she mentioned 2D it made the memory come back into her head, and it caused her to space out.

After I got done explaining, Merissa eyes were widen in shock.

"Merissa...you ok?" I ask in worry.

"Omg...Y/n" Merissa says in shock.

"I know...it sounds weird" I say while looking away feeling embarrassed.

"No... that's not what I meant" says Merissa.

"Huh?" I say confusingly.

"I meant was...omg you're in love" Merissa says excitingly.

"Merissa...no I'm not" I say while looking away blushing.

"Yes you are" Merissa says while smirking.

"No I'm not" I say embarrassingly.

"Yes you are" Merissa says while still smirking.

"No I'm not" I say embarrassingly.

"Yes you are" Merissa says while still smirking.

"Do you have to have the last word?" I ask sarcastically.

"Yes" Merissa smirks in victory.

"Good grief" I say while face palming.

"Y/n, theirs nothing wrong with that" Merissa says with a soft smile.

"Yeah their is" I say while frowning.

"What's the problem?" Merissa asks in confusion.

"Well..." I hesitated to answer.

"Tell me" Merissa says softly.

"I haven't known that long...how can I fall in love with someone, I've only known for a short while?" I questioned.

"It just happens Y/n...lots of people get those kind of feelings" says Merissa.

"They do?" I questioned.

"Of course, it happened to one of my coworkers at work not long ago" says Merissa.

"Really" I say in shock.

"Yep" Merissa nodded.

"How did that happen?" I ask in curiosity.

"All she told me was it all started when she was at the Bowling Alley with her friends, then she stepped outside to smoke a cigarette, but while doing that she hears sobbing and saw a man that was one of the workers their crying his eyes out because his ex girlfriend dumped him, then she got to talk to him and even though they only met they felt comfortable around each other, they even exchanged phone numbers, got to know each other for a short while and before they knew it, they fell in love and are a couple" Merissa explains.

"Wow" I say in shock.

"So see, even though you've only known 2D for a short while, you've fell in love with him" Merissa says with a soft smile.

"Be honest with me Y/n, how do you feel when you're around him?" Merissa asks.

"Well...I always feel excited when we hang out and I feel like I can tell him anything, I even told him about my parents when I usually don't like to talk about them  because I get emotional, but for some reason I felt ok talking about it with him" I say while blushing.

"What else?" Merissa asks.

"Well...my heart is always pounding fast, so fast I feel like it's gonna explode like a volcano or something" I say.

"Yep...you are indeed in love with him" Merissa says while nodding.

"Oh" I say feeling speechless.

"Admit it...you like him" says Merissa.

"...Ok...yes I'm in love with him" I say while blushing.

"I knew it" Merissa says in excitement.

"But promise me that you won't tell him" I begged while blushing.

"Don't worry, you're secret is safe with me" Merissa says with a smile.

"But when are you gonna tell him?" Merissa asks teasingly.

"I'll probably tell him, when we know each other a little longer" I say.

"Sounds like a plan, I have faith in you Y/n" Merissa says while giving me two thumbs up.

"Thanks Merissa" I say with a soft smile.

A/n: Now I know people usually feed ducks bread but did you know that feeding bread to ducks is bad for them. The reason is because high carbs diets cause birds to defecate more, and the ducks stool can harbor bacteria that causes diseases like avian botulism.

If you don't believe me go on Google and type in "why is it harmful for ducks to eat bread" and it will pop up.

And of course me and my family have ducks so we learned all about them. And I wanted to share this important information to you, so if you ever go somewhere that has ducks and you plan on feeding them DO NOT FEED THEM BREAD!
