News trouble

I had saved up for a few months to buy a kalimba, and I finally got one! It only took me a week to figure out how to play it thanks to the internet. Instead of playing piano like I usually would, since we were outside, I was playing the kalimba. I giggled at Mistukuni and mori who were trying to work together to eat soba. It was going poorly to say the least. "I didn't know you played kalimba y/n." One of the girls said. I think she's one of the ones who come only to listen to me play.

"Yeah, well, I just picked it up last week." I said shrugging. "It took me a little to get it, but it's worth it. It sounds really soothing. Ya know?" She nodded.

"I could listen to it all day." She said moving closer, and lying down next to me. I let her, since I knew she wouldn't try anything. It's old news that I'm not into girls, and none of the girls try to confess to me anymore. And the ones who were there at the beach are all quiet about me being trans too. I'm really glad about that. The twins and tamaki were arguing about something. I didn't really listen in on it. "Tell me, do you like anyone?" I freeze for a second, before I resume. What am I supposed to say, I'm dating Mistukuni? "You do! Can you tell me who?"

"Me too!"

"I wanna know!" The girls that are here to listen to my playing crowd around me. I think for a minute before I speak.

"I do, and we're currently dating."

"Who!"

"We haven't decided to tell people yet, so I'm afraid I can't say. But when we do, I'll be sure to let you know." They all frown.

"Please?"

"Sorry, I'm afraid not. Relationships are built on trust, and I don't want to break his by telling people." They all sigh.

"Oh well. I'm sorry for asking something like that. It was admittedly, sort of uncalled for." The girl who asked me said.

"No it's fine. You were curious so you wanted to know." I said with a smile.

We were called to the newspaper club, and tamaki kept apologizing. Apparently, he kicked a ball super hard, and it broke through the presidents window, and hit him in the head.

"Don't worry, it's no big deal! could have happened to anyone right? Just a ball flying through the window and hitting me upside the head."

"But please accept our apology."

"Well, this works out perfectly! I was just thinking of approaching the host club for a cover story! I don't suppose you'd be interested?"

"I didn't know he had a newspaper club."

"Me nether."

"It's more gossip brag than newspaper."

"Yeah like a trashy tabloid. It's filled with stories about scandalous love affairs, family struggles, and junk like that."

"It's just a lame gossip brag the specializes in stirring up sandal."

"And everybody knows it's all lies so nobody reads it anymore."

"You know I guess we have strayed away from the truth because we've been so worried about drawing in new readers. It's a shame we're just now realizing our error, now that the paper is at risk." Tamaki gasped slightly. "We finally realized what we should have been reporting to the student's of ouran. Help us please." They all said bowing. "For our last paper of the semester, we'd like to do an up close, special addition, revealing the charms of the ourans host club members. I'm begging you without your help our club will close."

"Heh. You can count on us. On behalf of the host club I ac-huuuh" He made a sound like a dying old man ask kyoya pushed him aside.

"We have to decline."

"But kyoya he got hurt because of me! What's the big deal if he does a story!"

"Sorry but we have a policy that prevents us from sharing personal information with anyone other than our guests or friends, but we'd be more than happy to pay for anything related to your head injury."

"And another thing, what make's you think we'd want to help you spread more gossip? We've got a reputation to uphold, and you'd just ruin it."

"Besides, you guys cause a lot of trouble for other people. And who'd want to get mixed up in that?"

"I understand. Well, I guess you really can't erase the sins of the past, can you? People won't even give you the opportunity to redeem yourself. Ohh my head is killing me!"

"President!"

"I'm okay, don't worry you two- Oh no I'm getting dizzy!"

"PRESIDENT!"

"You're like a cheating ex trying to weasel their way back into the life of someone they hurt, giving a fake promise that they'll be better. I may believe in second chances, but there are some things even I wont give a second chance to." I say, stating the truth like it is. He looked at me like he was about to cry, while I had a look of 'do you really think I care?' He continued the act he was doing. I feel like someone would have said something, but my analogy was correct. He was trying to manipulate tamaki into this. It was clear as day.

To everyone but tamaki.

"You don't have to. You can always make a fresh start. We'll help. We will rally the power of our host club, and we can re-establish the newspaper club together!"

"Well count us out."

"You're way too trusting boss. We can't just go along with everything you do forever."

"Yeah, we've had enough."

"We're leaving too tamaki. We're holding an evaluation meeting. Mostly about you." I went with the twins and haruhi.

"Hold it. How can you be so heartless? These men are about to lose their club. Don't you feel sorry for them Their family's breaking up! As your president I demand you help them! And that is a direct order!" We turned around.

"We're not going to do it!"

Tamaki was rolling a ball, while I ate some cake with Mistukuni. "Well he's obviously upset with us."

"Yeah he hasn't even changed clothes."

"I hate it when he ignores us when we're right in front of him, he's such a child."

"Nah. Tama-chan's just a lonely guy ya know?" Tamaki mumbled something I couldn't quite make out.

"I hate to give in, but would it really be that bad to help them out with their newspaper?"

"What?"

"Hey, since when are you taking his side?"

"Since never, just listen okay? I know any minute now he's going to look over here with those puppy dog eyes he uses when he want's something, and I know none of us are going to be able to say no so he'll win."

"Let me guess, you're speaking from experience aren't you?"

"Eh- Besides, maybe I'm wrong, but isn't this usually the sort of thing you two go for?"

"Well no. This seems like more trouble than it's worth."

"What about you honey senpai?"

"Count me out. I have this cake to eat. And takashi sticks with me right?" He nodded.

"Y/n?"

"I have zero tolerance for gossip, seeing as that's why I was bullied like I was back in middle school. I don't need a repeat of all that. I'm not going to be a part of this." A few minutes later, kyoya spoke.

"There will be some conditions." Tamaki barked. "The outline for their article will be submitted by us. Interviews are strictly prohibited, and it is vital that our clients identities be kept confidential. No info about y/n's gender identity is to be leaked. We don't want his middle school years to happen again." He turned to Mistukuni and I. "And please, no PDA during this."

My face was as red as a tomato from embarrassment, and mitsukuni's face was definitely pink.

"Okay." We said at the same time.

"Do we agree?"

"Well if you think its cool kyoya senpai"

"Then we do too."

"I'll do it since kyo-chan say's it's okay! What about you y/n chan?"

"I guess. But I don't want them to start gossiping is all."

We were playing red light green light. Well, except kyoya who was just standing there. Tamaki went over to talk to them, and I toned out what they were saying. I wanted to practice volleyball today. I have a game next week with another team from a different neighborhood, and I want to be in top shape. "You're fujioka and l/n, right? You two wouldn't mind if we asked you a few questions, would you?"

"Umm, sure."

"I'm cool with it."

"So, why did you join the host club?"

"Well umm, honestly I joined because I was forced to."

"I just wanted to play piano and stay out of the house longer."

"You're both honor student's in on scholarships, correct?"

"Um, yeah I am."

"Yep."

"So in other words, the fact that you're members of this club is just another example of how the suoh family loves to flaunt their power."

"Say what?"

"What the hell are you on about?"

"Now if you would, please tell me about tamaki's dark side. If you can help me out here I might just be able to set you free."

"Sorry but as far as I can tell he doesn't have a dark side."

"He has the mentality of a five year old. He has no dark side, and you can read his personality like a book."

"That can't be right. You expect me to believe that a group of high schoolers actually enjoys playing theses childish games?"  Haruhi looked at them and back at him.

"I don't think it's that weird."

"Who wouldn't like games like this? They're pretty fun. But in all honestly, I'd rather be practicing my receives since I have a game this weekend." I said running my hand through my hair.

"You have got to be kidding me."

"CHOP! Nekoshiri!" (I can't make out what their saying)

"Hey wait! That's not what you're supposed to catch you know!"

"Next we're playing con cannie! And you're it okay kyoya?"

"If I must."

"STARLIGHT KICK!" Tamaki yelled as he kicked the can hard. It ricochet off of trees and hit his head. I ran into the trees and climbed up. I wasn't too far into the trees, only a few yards. I yawned, and closed my eyes. Surely a little nap won't hurt, I think to myself as I close my eyes.

I woke up to the feeling of being tickled. I laughed and squirmed and kicked. I'm very ticklish and I hate it. "No stop please ahahahah!"

"We found you!" A familiar voice said happily, and I gave mitsukini a kiss as he stopped. "I didn't know you were so ticklish y/n-chan!"

"I hate being tickled." I say with a slight pout.

"Oh now you know I've got to do it more!"

"No please." It was too late. He already started tickling me again. I laughed and squirmed so much I fell out of the tree. I screamed, and covered my face, before mori senpai caught me, and Mistukuni came out of the tree with a worried expression. Mori set me down and he enveloped me in a hug.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean for you to fall! Are you okay?" I chuckle.

"I'm fine. Mori senpai caught me. And I know you didn't mean to. I stood on my toes and kissed his forehead, before we went to the clubroom with the rest of the group. I was the last to be found apparently.

We ate some cake before I gave honey a kiss goodbye and skated home. Today was, interesting. But to be fair, it's never a dull day here.
