Karuizawa

I plan on writing a birthday special that is cannon to the story fairly soon, since my birthday is next month on the 15th. It's currently June when I'm writing this. I'm thinking the chapter after this will be the birthday special. If I do it right, I can update it so that chapter comes out on my birthday.

Me and Mitsukini had a sleepover at his house, (After a lot of convincing to my dad. My mom trusts me enough so if something were to happen, we'd at least be safe) and watched several Disney movies before calling it a night, and we cuddled as we slept, room for usa-chan between the two of us. We planned on just walking around through the park, and maybe grab a bite to eat at a café in the morning. Just a nice little date for the two of us.

Until tamaki called at 6 am.

The ringtone woke both of us up, (Not happily might I add) and after holding the phone away because of his frantic yelling we finally managed to find out what he was so panicked about. "Huh?! So haru-chan is really missing?!"

"And her family is bankrupt?" Mori said from the other line. He started a group call for all of this.

"IT'S THE ONLY EXPLANATION! I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET THROUGH TO HER HOME PHONE AND HER FATHERS WORK FOR THE PAST SEVERAL DAYS WITH NO ANSWER! They've been evicted and forced into indentured servitude!" I held back my laugh. "AND ON TOP OF THAT. Y/N WONT PICK UP HIS PHONE! I'VE TRIED TO CALL HIM FOR THREE DAYS!" Mitsukini looked at me, and I shrugged.

"What time have you been trying to call?" He asked for me.

"Around 11, since I couldn't sleep, because I was worried about haruhi!" I couldn't keep back my laughter. Mitsukini handed me his phone, also laughing.

"Tamaki I'm right here. Don't call me that late at night I have my phone on silent while I sleep." I said while laughing.

"OH THANK GOD! Where are you?"

"Honey's house at the moment. We planed a whole movie night, and I stayed over."

"I swear to god if something-"

"Nothing happened." I said, rubbing my eyes under my glasses. "Why does everybody assume something happened? All we do is cuddle while we sleep." Mitsukini shrugged, and I handed his phone back to him.

"We have to rescue haruhi and her father!"

"Haru-chan!" Mitsukini said, distraught at the thought of his friend being indebted labor. I rubbed circles in his back as the twins spoke.

"Boss please, not so loud."

"Have you tried calling her cell phone yet?"

"Cell phone? Why on earth would she have a cell phone?!"

"To keep in contact with people? He does know she has one right? We text most days, either about random stuff, or school work." I could faintly hear tamaki going on about some delusion.

"Not to interrupt your delusion but, haruhi is currently at karuizawa." I didn't hear the rest because my brain wasn't fully processing shit yet. It's too early in the morning for this. Mitsukini and I got dressed, (Me in the bathroom) and headed to karuizawa with mori-senpai, after eating, and I finally got my brain to fully wake up.

For some reason, we were all stuffed into a helicopter, and flown over. I rubbed my eyes, while tamaki yelled something that was incomprehensible over the sound of the choppers. It was causing quite the commotion though.

We were introduced to the owner, Misuzu Sonoda. "Oh my, what handsome young men you are! these hunks must belong to haruhi!" I was standing next to Mitsukini, looking at him. He was another transgressive, like haruhi's father. Nice. "Why don't you call me misusuchi?"

"He's an old friend of ranka's they used to work together at the same shop years ago."

"Well naturally you would know."

"Kill me."

"Can't, it's illegal." I joked.

"That's kind of dark."

"Sorry." I said with a kiss on the cheek.

"I went into business for myself two years ago, and believe you me, running this adorable little Pinchin is like a fairytale!

"Well then, is haru-chan like your indentured servant?"

"And you just told me that what I said was dark." I said with a giggle.

"She's more like an unpaid employee, this is also raga's favorite way of keeping track of his daughter while he's busy working."

"What the- how do you know all of this stuff."

"Kill me."

"Still illegal."

"'Take my little girl under your wing' he says, he practically begged me. And since I still can't afford the expense of hired help, It works out for everyone! She's a model employee, really. It's such a shame I can't pay her anything. Oh tell me what you boys think of this cute little apron she's wearing, I made it myself!" Misusuchi said proudly.

"You are quite an exquisite seamstress!" Tamaki said with a thumbs up.

"A job huh? So you turned down our invitation to Bali for this?"

"And we even asked her to go with us to Switzerland, didn't we?"

"We did."

"Yeah but I still don't have a passport remember?"

"Which is precisely why I recommended one of our domestic resorts, at a discount no less."

"Why was your cell phone-"

"Turned off?"

"I just don't think about it really."

"Cell... Phone?"

"Yeah, my dad insisted on getting me one when I started high school. That way he'd be able to check on me, and I can message classmates for work."

"All of us in first year are in each others top 5."

"But I'm your daddy and your buddies, so I'm in there too right?"

"Senpai, whatever planet your on, come home."

"Sooner than later at that."

"Speaking of that, why are you here? I'm gonna see you guys every day once the new term starts. Don't I have the right to spend my summer vacation the way I want to?"

"According to the handbook, jobs are prohibited."

"I uh... Forgot about that."

"I didn't. I had to stop babysitting for my neighbors, so I have way too much time now." I said with a sip of my tea.

"I think karuizawa is way better than Switzerland anyway."

"And overseas travel is so exhausting."

"Woah, a skating rink! I haven't gone to one of those since I was 12!" I said quietly to myself.

"Huh? Why not?" I realize I said that a little louder than I meant. I chuckle.

"Last time I was at a place like that, some guys decided it would be fun to whip each other around. I got caught in between the guy and the wall, and the impact broke my leg. The guys apologied a lot and paid for the hospital bill, but I havent been back since because I didn't want a repeat. But I think I wanna go again sometime."

"Your birthday is next month, correct?" I nod.

"My friends once called me a 'sweet summer child' because I didn't understand something they said. I only replied with, 'I am a summer child?'"

"I'm sorry boys, I'd love to have you all as guests, but I'm afraid there's only one vacant room left."

"One room you say? Well that settles it. I'll have to stay here and represent the club."

"Hey, that isn't fair."

"Have you no feeling of loyalty? Of any solidarity boss?"

"Togetherness is our guiding principle."

"I have to get home anyways, so I don't mind." I said with a shrug.

"On the contrary. I called your parents, who agreed to let you stay. As we speak, your mother is packing some clothes for you. Although I must say, it was hard to get through to your father."

"I'm so sorry about him. My dad is a little overprotective of me. He and my mom were raised on different religious values of the same religion. He always assumes everything though, and it drives me crazy. I'm sorry for the trouble." I said with a bow.

"It's quite alright. My father is the same." While I was talking with kyoya, the twins proposed a game, that misusuchi agreed to, loving the idea. Haruhi, who was looking miserable, stood away from us. I went over and patted her back.

"Hey, it could be worse. If everyone was staying, it'd be chaos, and you know it as well as I do."

"You're such an optimist."

"Hey! At least I'm trying!" I said, elbowing her playfully, making her laugh. "Seriously though, it would be chaotic. It's not for too long, so you have the rest of the summer to enjoy yourself."

"How do you always know what to say to cheer up someone?" I shrug.

"I'm not sure."

Tamaki and honey were on fence duty, while I was on garden. My job was to pick flowers and get them prepped for 20 tables. I also had to weed all of them, and then help mori with firewood. I couldn't chop it, but I was to help him carry it to where it needed to go. After that was dishes. I wasn't too far away from Mistukuni and tamaki, so I could hear all of what they were saying.

"You may not believe it, but this is the first time I've held a hammer in my life." I looked over and widened my eyes.

"Tamaki! Don't hold the hammer like that! Your going to hit your hand!"

"I'll be fine y/n, don't worry!" I rolled my eyes.

"Fine. Don't come crying to me when you hit your hand with a hammer." I tuned it out by humming a song quietly to myself, and heard misusuchi behind me.

"What lovely flowers. You're doing a fine job, umm..."

"Y/n." I say. "I didn't realize I didn't tell you my name. I'm sorry about that." I said, still working on clearing weeds from the flowerbeds. I had a basket next to me with flowers and herbs to assist with scents, a trick my mom taught me.

"five refresher points to you. You're doing a fine job." I smile a bit.

"Thank you misusuchi." I say, before she heads to Mistukuni and tamaki. I ignore what is said, until I hear tamaki say, 'the pain, the pain.'

"I told you not to hold it like that!" I say, getting up. "It's like this." I grab a nail, and start it in the wood on another post, and once it's in about a quarter centimeter, I move my hand away so it can't be it on accident, but still holding the board steady. I then do the same not far under on the same board so it lines up and keeps it stable. "You want to do that every post. There are bound to be some where it ends halfway through it, so on those, you fasten what you can with a nail, and get another person to hold the board level to the other as you hammer it in. After it reaches the next post, and if fastened correctly, the person can let it go, and prep another board." I explain as I hammer away. I hand it back to tamaki. "Got it?" He nods hesitantly.

"Hey you okay?"

"My charm didn't work." I sigh.

"Mistukuni, I love you, but you do realize your charm won't work on everybody, right?" I sigh. "How about you help me arrange the flowers? It's pretty simple, and we'll be done in like, five minutes, kay?" He nods, and we head inside.

"What about me?!"

"Hammering takes a few minutes. You still have enough space that you don't need another person quite yet. We'll be back in time, and if we aren't just wait." I grab the basket, and he takes half of the flowers and herbs. We arrange half the tables, and I go back and prune all of them, all while humming 'cliché' by mxmtoon. That's the thing about me. I hum while I work. I didn't realize I was humming a little louder than I thought.

"What song is that?" Mitsukini asked when I finished with the song. My face goes a shade of light pink from embarrassment, because I didn't want to be heard.

"Cliché. Sorry about that."

"No it's fine actually. I liked it. You sounded really pretty." My face flushed more, and I tried and filed to hide it. "You should really sing more sometime." He said, planting a kiss on my cheek. I burred my face in my hands while he giggled. "You're adorable when you're flustered."

"And you know exactly what to say to make me flustered." I said, barely looking up. He planted a kiss on my temple, before we had to bead back out. I had finished my gardening, so it was time to help mori carry in the firewood. Granted, I couldn't carry as much as he could, but I was able to get some clusters, which resulted in a few less trips.

"Thanks." He said, patting my head.

"No problem!" I said with a smile, before heading in, to do the dishes.

Tamaki still failed his repair to the fence at the end of the day, so I took matter into my own hands, and fixed the fence properly. I managed to get honey to hold the boards for me while I worked. Every now and then, I'd wipe some sweat off my forehead, before continuing. I may not look like it, but I'm stronger than I look from playing volleyball. I needed a lot of upper body strength to receive fast balls, so I ended up getting pretty strong. Not nearly as strong as honey or mori, but I can hold my own.

It took two hours to repair it all. It has to start with me tearing down the boards, and hammering out the nails. I don't get where he went wrong with the instructions, but I didn't bother questioning it.

The twins won, and my mom arrived with a bag for me. "Oh, hey mom!" I said with a smile as she walked over.

"Hi Mrs. l/n!" Honey said happily. Tamaki raised his head from the piano and looked at my mother.

"Hello again honey." She said with a soft smile at him, before turning to me. "Okay, I brought everything you'd need. Be safe hun."

"Mrs. l/n, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm kyoya, we've spoken on the phone about your daughter."

"My son, you mean."

"Oh, he came out?" She nodded. "My apologies."

"Thanks for coming all this way mom." I said with a hug.

"Of course."

"You've raised a lovely son." Tamaki said happily as the twins and haruhi came in.

"Thank you tamaki."

"Hey, who's this old lady?" Hikaru asked, and I glared at him. Sure, my mom's on the older side, but that was uncalled for.

"This old lady is my mother. Be nice hikaru, or I will pummel you to dust." I said with a straight face. "I'm aware she's old. Heck, she's aware she's old, do you know how many times people have mistaken me for her grand child? But still, that was uncalled for." I scold him, as kauoru apologizes to my mom for his brother's behavior. "That was insanely rude. Go apologize." I said, putting my hands on my hips. He did so, and my mother told him it was fine. Yep. Just another day.

I ended up at Mitsukuni's cottage for the night, as we cuddled like usual, quick kisses exchanged before we finally fell asleep for the night, usa-chan between the two of us. A nice night together, full of plenty of love and cuddles.

I wouldn't trade anything for this.
