14. Morning

The next morning I woke up, expecting to feel a curly headed boy in my arms.

To my surprise.. the bed was empty.

"Harry?" I sat up, raising a brow.

I tossed the covers off of me, making my way out of the bedroom.

My nostrils flared when I smelled the distinct scent of eggs and bacon.

"Good morning!" I heard a cheerful voice call from the kitchen.

I looked over to see Harry holding a stack of dishes in his arms, attempting to put them away.

I snickered at the boy, running over to him.

"Here.." I took some from him. "Let me help."

"I'm sorry." He apologized. "I was trying to make sure I didn't leave any dirty dishes in your sink."

"Don't worry about it, Harry." I kissed his cheek, examining his black eye. "How's your eye?"

"It's a little better." He touched it, gently. "It doesn't hurt as bad."

"That's good."

My eyes shifted to 2 freshly made plates of food lingering on the table. "Wow.."

Harry grinned. "I made you some breakfast."

My mouth gaped at how sweet I found his gesture. "I didn't know you could cook."

"I love to cook." He added. "I used to want to be a chef when I was younger."

"I wish I could cook." I sat down in front of the plate. "All I know how to do is heat up chicken strips."

I watched him sit beside me, smiling at my comment. "I loved your chicken."

"No need to humor me, sunshine." I grabbed my fork before putting a bite in my mouth. "Oh my God.."

"What?" Harry frowned. "I-Is it bad?"

"No." I grabbed his hand on the table. "It's so good. I'm proud of you, Harry."

His cheeks flushed red from my comment. "I'm glad you like it."

He turned his attention to his own food, chewing happily.

"Did you sleep okay?" I asked.

I was concerned I upset him too much before bed.

"I slept great." He nodded. "You have such a comfortable bed."

"I know, right?" I agreed with him. "I gotta say.. I really enjoyed sleeping with you in my arms last night."

"I enjoyed that too." He smiled before taking another bite.

I couldn't help but feel a heaviness on my heart from last night.

I had to speak my mind.

"Harry.." I set my fork down. "I wanted to apologize for last night. I shouldn't have asked you such triggering questions. I need to learn to be more sensitive around you."

Harry waved his hand. "Don't apologize. I enjoyed opening up to you last night. It was actually very cleansing for me."

"Really?"

"Yes." He nodded. "I want you to know every part of me.. the good, the bad and the ugly."

"Trust me.. No part of you is ugly." I scoffed.

"Oh, stop." He shook his head. "You know what I mean."

"Well.. the same goes for me." I smirked. "No question is off limits."

"Really?" He raised a brow. "Does that mean we're playing the question game again?"

"Sure." I shrugged. "Why not?"

"Okay." He looked up. "Um.. tell me about your family."

"I have a pretty big family." I began. "I have 5 sisters and one little brother."

"What about your mom?"

"My mom and I used to be close.. unfortunately when I came out as gay, she wasn't as supportive as I would have hoped." I shrugged. "Oh well.."

"I never got the chance to come out to my mom." He admitted. "I've always wondered what she would have said."

I grabbed his shoulder. "She sounded like a wonderful woman. I know she would have accepted you just the way you are."

He nodded. "I think so too."

"Anyway." I removed my arm from his shoulder. "My turn to ask a question."

"Shoot."

"What's your full name?" I pondered.

"Harry Edward Styles." He said with a proud smile. "What's yours?"

"Louis William Tomlinson." I responded.

"Wow.." Harry grinned.

"What?"

"We both have such royal names." He giggled under his breath. "I guess that makes us Royalty."

"Well.." I grabbed his hand, wrapping my fingers around his. "You are a king."

"I'm the farthest thing from a king."

I shook my head. "Not to me."

"There you go again!" He shouted playfully, picking up our empty plates. "Making me blush."

Harry walked over to the sink, washing the dishes by hand.

I came up behind him, wrapping my arms around his waist.

I laid my head in the crook of his neck.

"This feels so right." I kissed his collarbone.

"What does.." I felt him smile.

"Having you here.. living with me." I twisted him around so his eyes met with mine. "It feels right."

"I really hope I'm not a burden." Harry looked down.

I lifted his chin, his eyes meeting mine once again. "You will never be a burden."

I pressed my lips against his, pulling him closer by his shirt.

He let out a breath. "If you ever want me to leave.. just let me know, okay? I'll go right back to that park bench-"

I shushed him. "Just shut up and kiss me."

I laced my fingers through his hair, placing my other arm on his hip.

"So.." I pulled away from his lips, caressing his cheek with my eyes locked on his. "What do you want to do today, Mr. Styles?"

He bit his lip. "Um.. whatever you want to do."

"I want to spend the day with you." I said.

"Well.." Harry looked around in a joking matter. "I'll just have to check my busy schedule."

"Oh really?" I leaned in closer.

"Yeah.." Harry tugged at his lip. "I'll see if I can squeeze you in."

"You're such a dork, you know that?" I wrapped my hands around his waist.

Harry giggled softly, pressing his nose against my chest.

"I'm so happy I met you, Harry." I shook my head in disbelief. "Every time I look at you.. I can't help but fall more and more. It's kind of scary."

"I feel the same." Harry looked up from my chest. "It's a good scary."

"A really good scary." I kissed his curls. "So.. did you decide what you want to do?"

"Honestly?" Harry began.

"Honestly."

"I want to lay on the couch with you all day and eat junk food." He shrugged. "And watch cartoons."

I chuckled to myself, grabbing his hand and kissing the top of it. "Done."
