Naruto was feeling different types of emotions at once; anger, sadness, frustration, longing, disappointment, he felt tired however he wanted to stop Sasuke at all cost, he couldn't let him slip his fingers again,"Sasuke I told you I don't need your protection and I am serious on what I said earlier." He said in a small calm voice. 

It was said so lightly that Sasuke almost missed what Naruto said, Sasuke's eyes darted towards Naruto, he grabbed the other by his collar,"Uzumaki Naruto I told you not to speak like that again!" 

Naruto jerked Sasuke's hand away, Sasuke moved a few steps away,"You are such a dobe..." He said in almost a whisper.

Silence covered the atmosphere, only the sounds of their heavy breathing was heard, they both were tired, so much had happpened during this small amount of time. 

Naruto took in a deep breath, he asked again in a  calm voice, that was so unlike his usual nature,"Why are you always like  this?" Sasuke looked at Naruto, he looked into the cobalt blue eyes that were shining like diamond.

Naruto however broke the eye contact, he looked at the ground, tears streaming down his face,"I just want to save you....I fucking just wanna save you...but if you act like this I don't know what to do anymore."

Sasuke stared at Naruto's face, he asked,"Have you ever thought I don't want to be saved?" 

Naruto didn't say anything and Sasuke continued,"You have wasted so much of your time saving me, but have you ever once thought I don't want to be saved?"

Naruto looked up, he glared at Sasuke for a second, then the next second he dashed towards Sasuke and smacked him hard on his face, Sasuke stumbled a few steps backwards, Naruto gritted his teeth,"If it's for you, It's never a waste of time."

With this he  turned around and left, nothing more was said, Sasuke just stared at Naruto's disappearing back, he fell to his knees, everything seemed to be crumbling down, he doesn't know what's happening, what he should do now, what he should say, his thoughts were crashing against each other. Above all of that he was feeling regret. He was feeling the regret of losing someone precious.

Okay guys here is another update. I know So many things happened in just one night, but I am sure Naruto and Sasuke would always remember this night. 
Also guys, I looked at the next chapter and the original author wrote some smut in it but I have never written one and I don't know how to write one either, I will try my best to write but no promises.
