Fun Fact: I'm Jisoo's bitch. That's all Imma say

"You two kissed?!", Irene, Jennie, and Seulgi shouted together, shocked at what Jisoo had told them of what happened between her and Rose the night before. She laughed at their reaction and continued to make breakfast for herself on her way to work.

In the living room, Ella was smiling to herself after hearing her mom's story and her aunts reactions. She was happily surfing through the channels on the TV in front of her while holding a gingerbread. On both sides of her, Kuma and Kai were hungrily looking at the cookie Ella was holding. 

Back into the kitchen, Jisoo was trying to explain how it happened. "I was just in the moment and we were standing right under the mistletoe, so what was I suppose to do?" Irrelevantly, Irene shared a story that Seulgi stole her first kiss under a mistletoe even though it was in the Spring. 

"Hey! I couldn't wait another eight months just get a kiss from you. Sheesh.", Seulgi pouts and munches on an apple from her girlfriend's hand who later got her arm slapped by her. 

Jisoo joined her daughter on the couch watching the Powerpuff Girls. She kissed the top of her head, letting her daughter know that she's sitting right next to her considering Ella was really into the episode. 

"Mommy, can we get Rose a present?" 

Jisoo smiles at her daughter who still had a presence of mind while still watching television. "We don't have to get her anything because I know a perfect surprise and it involves you in it, so I can't tell you.", she chuckles. Ella pouts and looks up at her mom. She pinches her cheeks causing Ella to burst out laughing, she hugged her mom and let her off to go to work with Seulgi. 

As they made it up the elevator, Jisoo gets surprised by her two bosses. Mr. Lee and Mr. Yang. Jisoo quickly questions what the surprise was all about.  "This was all her idea!"

"Her?" 

Mr. Lee nods excitedly, "Rose face timed Mr. Yang and I to present the project. She was so excited she had to present it as soon as possible and couldn't wait any longer. Also, she didn't want to have you come over at midnight just to present, but she gave you the credit for giving her the inspiration." 

"Inspiration?" 

Jisoo was absolutely confused and completely baffled that she forgot about the project. So she continued to listen to Mr. Lee and Mr. Yang congratulate her on the project. "I am relieved that Rose has finally found the spirit of Christmas.", Mr. Yang sighs happily and turns to Jisoo. "I would have to thank you for that for inspiring Rose and opening her eyes at the true meaning of Christmas." 

"Y-You're welcome." 

Jisoo didn't know what else to but go along with whatever is going on in the office. Even Seulgi was just as confused as her. (Me and my dumbass friend in statistics class)  Everyone gathered around the center of the office, facing the projector screen. Jisoo was the only one standing and Mr. Yang gave her the honors to play the commercial on the projector. 

Still confused like a lost puppy, she presses the play button and the commercial began to play. 
She kept her eyes on the screen to know what Rose came up with. 

It was a little girl running to the bus and was about to pay the bus fare, but the bus driver didn't allow her because she didn't have a parent with her. The little girl began to explain that she needed to talk to Santa. Then a woman came up to her and said she'll take her to talk to Santa. 

The scene jumped to the woman taking the girl to the mall to see Santa, but she gets sad when she sees that the line was too long. The woman felt bad and asked the girl what she wished for. She told the woman that she doesn't wish for anything for herself but wished for a music system for her mom because she loves making music. 

The next scene jumped to the woman meeting the girl's mom and it showed quick slideshow they spent their time together like a real family. It jumped to the final scene where they spent Christmas at the woman's house and it was time to exchange gifts. The girl's mom opened her present and it was the new music system that she longed for.

The commercial ends with the company promoting its new music system. Everyone applauded, some were also crying at how sweet the commercial was. On the other hand, Jisoo was nearly on the verge of tears because the commercial was just a replay of how she and Rose met. Seulgi noticed Jisoo and she did not hesitate to pull her best friend into a warm hug. 

"You should go thank her.", Seulgi suggests and Jisoo thought it was also a good idea as well and wasted no time leaving the building and heading to Rose's place. When she approached her front porch she faintly hears a few shouting and barking. Jisoo chuckles at the sound of Rose struggling to take care of her friend's dog.  Once she thinks that everything has calmed down, she knocks on the door. 

The dog barks again. It went to chaos again. Five minutes later, Rose finally answers the door. "Hey, Jisoo! What's up?"

"I just wanted to say thank you for finishing the project and I just want to make sure about something."

"Sure." 

"Was the commercial about us? And by us, I mean Ella, me, and you." 

Rose cheeks turned from a light shade of pink to a dark shade. She scratches the back of her neck nervously and tried to avoid Jisoo's hypnotizing gaze. "Well, you two are my inspiration.", she says with a cheeky smile. 

Jisoo kisses Rose on the cheek and thanked her again for the project. "Ella would've loved to see it. She would know right away what it's about." 

"I know this is last minute, but I want to take you somewhere." 

"And where would that be?"

"Well, I own a sailboat and it's casually just floating at the pier. And I want to take you to the Statue of Liberty. And if you don't like the idea, we'll go wherever you want to go." 

Jisoo couldn't help but just smile at the tall brunette. Even if she was just simply breathing or blinking, she felt warm. Her heart felt warm. "I would like that.", she says and Rose smiled even brighter that she accepted her last-minute date.

They were in between the city and the island of where the Statue of Liberty stands. Rose was behind the wheel controlling the boat's direction and paying close attention to the direction of the small breeze that was coming. At the same time, she was also paying attention to Jisoo who stood behind the bow of the ship, admiring the beautiful view of New York City and it's tall buildings. 

Rose switched the controls to automatic and walked up to Jisoo,  hugging her from behind and resting her chin on her shoulder. 

Jisoo goofed around and imitated the Titanic scene. Rose laughed at Jisoo, but she helped by singing the song. "...We'll stay forever this way...", Rose gently hugged Jisoo tighter, bringing their bodies closer while she softly sang the song. "...You are safe in my heart and my heart will go and on." Jisoo and Rose sang the last note together.

"I didn't know you can sing.", Rose compliments. 

"Jennie and I used to sing a lot when we were in high school. I was the vocalist and she's the rapper and we would always perform in every talent show and it actually benefitted us. We get to go to prom for free to perform." 

Rose chuckled at Jisoo's story about getting into shows or events for free because of her and her sister's natural born talents. They shared a few more stories back when they were in high school. Rose even mentions about knowing how to play the guitar and Jisoo reminded her that she should play her a song when they get back. 

They arrived at the island and Jisoo was amazed to see the statue up close. "Wow, I've lived in New York for almost five years, but I never got the chance to see the statue up close.", Jisoo gawks.  Rose held her hand and happily guided her inside and they walked up the stairs to get to the way top of the statue, but before they can go outside Rose grabbed her scarf and gently wrapped it around Jisoo's eyes. 

"This view is a once in a lifetime experience. Especially when the sky looks beautiful right now." 

Rose waves her hand in front of Jisoo to make sure she can't see. She slowly guided her outside and lead her to the ledge. She placed Jisoo's hands on top of the ledge. "You'll thank me later for this.", Rose whispers as she slowly takes off her scarf from Jisoo. 

"Okay, open your eyes." 

Jisoo slowly flutters her eyes open and she was completely speechless at the view in front of her. She had nothing to say, the only sound that can come out of her were gasps and high squealing noises. The sky was painted in pastel pink with a mixture of red and blue. The sound of the ocean waves softly crashing against each other, the birds flying freely in the sky. 

It was definetely once in a lifetime experience.

Rose didn't say anything. She only enjoyed watching Jisoo admire the city and make her feel like she's on top of the world.

After taking Jisoo out to the statue, they went out to a small restaurant to eat. But really, they just didn't want their date to end and nor did they want to leave each other's side and warmth. They stopped by at the restaurant and ordered a small light meal to quickly finish and continue their adventure. 

As they were waiting for their meal, Jisoo picked up a candlelight and just looks at the fire that flickered. Rose almost choked on air when she sees how gorgeous Jisoo looked at the moment. How the light illuminates her beauty and soft features. She can't let that moment go to waste that she whipped out her phone and took the picture. 

"So beautiful."
