Narrator's POV

A month later after their glorious date, the Dark Lord and Lady had come to a conclusion: taking over the Ministry would be much easier if they continued from the top and went down instead of the other way as they had been doing.

And the top of the Ministry was the Minister of Magic, of course, and Fudge was a well known Light Wizard so they clearly needed to replace him with one of their own.

But who? Lucius Malfoy, obviously.

So all they needed to do was get Fudge get thrown out of office.

Later that day, Harry sat at a table in the corner of the Leaky Caldron, his black hood covering his scar and leaving his face in shadow.

He had nothing on the table in front of him save a few parchments containing possible blackmail Tom had gathered over the years about Fudge and on his lap contained blackmail to use on the woman he was meeting with very soon.

Moments later, Rita Skeeter entered the Leaky Caldron and found Harry, though she thought him simply an anonymous informant, and sat down across from him.

"What is it you wished to tell me, sir?" Rita asked, wishing to return to work before her lunch-break ended

Harry smiled, ""I have something for you Rita, something that will shock the wizarding world and I want you to write it." Hadrian said

"What is it?" Rita asked as he handed her over the story that he wanted published, and she read through them and when she got to the end she gasped, "I can't publish these, they're about the Minister."

"The juicy truth that the esteemed Minister has kept hidden, it's about time the public learned the truth." Harry chuckled

"But I will be hung; Fudge is one of the most powerful people in our world." She exclaimed.

"One of them yes, but there are people who can challenge Fudge politically which would be the only way he could attack you." Harry explained as she laughed in disbelief.

"Who could possibly challenge Fudge politically, he's Minister of Magic?" Rita asked

"I can." Harry answered

"You, please. You would have to be Lucius Malfoy to have any chance of challenging Fudge." She snorted

"Obviously if you don't want to tear into Fudge, I'm sure I could find someone else-" Harry said, reaching for the paper

"NO!" She cut him off, holding the paper close to herself

"So you will publish these, after all you do have a rather unique flare." Harry said

"Why would you want these published?" She asked him, "Who are you?"

Harry removed his hood, smirking bat her as her face paled, "I have a lot of secrets, Rita, just like yourself, and it wouldn't do for any of them to be coming out now would it?"

"Of course not, I'll begin immediately." Rita assured

He drew his hood back up, "And Rita," she looked at him as his Killing Curse green eyes flashed dangerously at the Daily Prophet news reporter, "This meeting never happened did it?"

"What meeting?" She said weakly, as she picked up the parchment and left

Once the public read the newspaper, they began a manhunt for Cornelius Fudge, the public pissed that he not only cheated on his wife but also broke the Stature of Secrecy as well as sides with the Order that was claiming the You-Know-Who had returned.

Aurours dragged him kicking and screaming out of the Ministry Building and before the Lords and Ladies of the Wizengamot.

"Cornelius, how do you plead?" Lucius, the impromptu Chief Warlock, asked him

Fudge hesitated, "N-not guilty."

"Please administer the veritaserum." Judge Wayne asked the Aurors

One Aurors restrained Fudge while the other forced the potion down Cornelius' throat.

"State your full name." Lucius —who was acting as temporary Chief Warlock since Dumbledore has been barred from the meeting- ordered Fudge once the potion activated

"Cornelius Oswald Fudge." Cornelius monotony answered

"Four years ago did you perform magic in front of a female muggle to impress her?" Judge Wayne asked

"Yes." Fudge robotically replied

"Do you admit to breaking the Stature of Secrecy, our most important law?" Lucius asked him

"Yes." Fudge answered, shame in his eyes

"Do you admit to using your position to get out of punishment?" Lucius continued

"Yes." Cornelius replied, knowing there was no way he could save his position

"Have you been secretly with Albus Dumbledore even though the law says it is illegal to do so?" Judge Wayne asked

"Yes." Fudge said, praying that Dumbledore could fix his situation

"Jury, please vote for his innocence or guilt." Lucius told the Lords, as buttons appeared before them

Once everyone had voted, the votes appeared on the screen, and it was landslide vote, only eight people had voted that Fudge was innocent.

"Cornelius Oswald Fudge," Judge Wayne announced "you have been found guilty for breaking two of our ancient laws, and will be sentenced to life in Azkaban."

"NO! PLEASE! NO!" Fudge screamed as Aurors dragged him away

"On a happier note, we now need to vote for the new Minister of Magic. Do we have any candidates?" Lucius asked

Bartemius Crouch Snr, Barty's father and a light wizard, stood up and announced, "I'll give it a shot."

"Anyone else?" Judge Wayne asked

"I appoint Lucius Malfoy!" Someone announced

"I second that!" Some else added

"We'll vote on it then, Lucius or Bartemius?" Judge Wayne addressed

The votes turned out identical, meaning that Lord Lucius Malfoy was the new Minister of Magic...
