Father's Day

Hawks picks up his daughter and spins in a circle.
The five year old laughs and her wings flap slightly.
(Y/n) holds their newborn son in his carrier and smiles softly. "Keigo, let's go already. The restaurant won't hold our reservation forever."
"Hey daddy, what do the kids without daddies do on Father's Day?" The little girl asks as they walk to the nearby restaurant.
"There are a lot of things they can do. If their daddy died then they can visit his grave. Or maybe their daddy left. So then they get to celebrate their mommy for acting like the daddy. Those mommies are the best, you know why?"
"Why?"
"Because they're so strong and loving. My friend from America, her name was Montana. Her daddy wasn't around much so her mommy had to raise her by herself."
"All by herself?" The girl asks.
"Uh huh. She grew up to love her mommy so much, even though she knew her daddy was somewhere out there. On Father's Day she celebrates her mom and grandpa."

(Y/n) rubs her husband's shoulder gently.
"Oh but don't get me wrong. Your mommy is the bestest mommy ever." Hawks quickly adds.
The woman shakes her head and smiles. "Don't worry Birdie. It's ok."
Obviously she knew he didn't mean anything from it and that he loves her.
"She always takes care of you when I'm not around. Which of course is all the time. I'm sorry I'm gone so often. I wish I was around more. Villains are just such a pain in the a-"
(Y/n) clears her throat and looks between her children.
"Right. Sorry," he mumbles.
The infant gurgles and sucks on his fist.

"Onward Takami family." Hawks points forward and when they arrive he opens the door for his family.
(Y/n) kisses his cheek and walks in.
They get seated and served.
The little girl looks around at the other patrons, observing their Father's Day happenings.
Some families had a daddy, two daddies and no daddies but two mommies.
(Y/n) smiles softly as she watches her daughter.
"I love you baby bird. I'm so glad you were the one to make me a father."

"I know mommy loves grandpa a lot. Wanna know how?" The 5 year old inquires.
"How so?" Keigo asks, smiling, thinking it would be a sweet, innocent answer.
But no.
"Because I heard mommy scream: "Daddy I love you so much" the other night."
Both Keigo and (Y/n) spit out their drinks. Their faces turned beet red.
"You heard mommy say that? I thought you were asleep?" The woman questions.
"I got up to get a drink but then I went back to sleep." The girl responds.

A waiter rushes over with towels to clean up and the couple thanks him.
Unfortunately it was awkward for a while after that.
Thankfully the daughter asked other questions that lightened the mood.
Overall their meal was pleasant.
When they got home (Y/n) and her daughter gave Keigo his presents.
(Y/n) gave him a new "DADDY BIRD" shirt while the little girl gave him a drawing of the family.
Dated and signed by her.

Keigo kisses their heads and holds his son in his arms.
The baby curls into his chest and sleeps peacefully.
(Y/n) smiles and takes a picture with her phone.
The little girl was about to say something when her father's phone rang.
Both parents knew what that meant.
Keigo answers the call and stands up.

To their pleasant surprise it was just Enji wishing him a happy Father's Day.
Of course Keigo thanked him and returned the wishes.
(Y/n) laughs softly. "Thanks Enji," she calls and the said man chuckles slightly.
"Tell (Y/n) I say hi." Enji smiles softly and hangs up.
The bird smiles happily and kisses his wife. "He says hi." He mumbles and holds her in his lap.
The little girl hops on her mother's lap and giggles softly.
