The next day at school, the classmates still kept thinking about Adrien and hoped he'll wake up from his coma. Adrien knew they can't see him but Marinette can. It's been very awkward all day at school and Adrien still can't stop thinking about his cousin that betrayed everyone. And recently he disowned him.

"Someone broke in the hospital last night," Marinette said.

"What really?" Alya was curious.

"It was on the news this morning," Marinette said.

"Oh, what did he look like?" Alya asked.

"They said he was peacock themed. It's the new peacock holder I think." Marinette replied.

"A new Mayura?" Nino said.

"I guess. But this one's a guy" Marinette said.

"But what does he want there?" Nino wondered.

"Adrien. He wanted Adrien" Marinette said in fear.

"How do you know?" Alya said.

"It's obvious, the akumas have been after him lately," Marinette said.

"That's strange. Are they out to kill him?" Rose asked worriedly.

Adrien shook his head no at Marinette, "No, he was trying to examine my body"

Since the others couldn't see him, Marinette replied, "Or maybe try to force him out of the coma."

"That's insane. Adrien needs to be on life support to stay alive" Alix said.

"Yeah, these villains are crazy," Alya said.

"No, Monarch has gone insane for the past few weeks. This has to stop now" Nino said.

"I just hope he's gonna face prison for what he did," Marinette said.

"Marinette, something is bothering you all day," Alya said.

"I can't stop thinking about Adrien. I just want him out of trouble" Marinette shed a tear.

"He did save Ladybug which was brave of him," Mylene said.

"It was. Without her, nobody would get purified" Nino said.

"Do you think he wanted to save her by sacrificing himself?" Juleka asked.

"I take it that he had no choice but to do it," Nathaniel said.

"It scared Ladybug," Marinette said.

Adrien was nearby listening to them. He did feel sad to scare Ladybug but he didn't want her to die like that, "My poor friends" Adrien said sadly.

Marinette excused herself to go to the bathroom to talk with Adrien, "Our friends are really worried I see" Adrien said to her.

"They are like a family to you, Adrien" Marinette said.

"They are my true family, Marinette," Adrien said.

"I don't understand how am I the only person that can see you," Marinette said.

"Even Ladybug can see me. I did possess her fighting Queen Anubis." Adrien said.

"You did what?!" Marinette pretended she didn't know.

"Yeah, so that I wouldn't die for real so I had to preserve my soul to possess her," Adrien said.

"You didn't look into her memories, did you?" Marinette asked.

"No, it doesn't work that way" Adrien replied.

"Is Lila really insane to go near your body?" Marinette asked.

"Yeah, she's not realizing that's murder she would commit," Adrien said.

"That makes me think of something. Did your father make a deal with Monarch to akumatize her to get you out of the coma? I mean he seems desperate to wake you up or is it coincidence?" Marinette wondered.

"Why would my father deal with the devil?" Adrien asked.

"I'm just guessing that he wants you back but he doesn't show support. When was the last time he came out of the house?" Marinette asked.

"He barely does come out. It's like nobody sees him these days" Adrien sighs.

"I wish I could know why" Marinette leans toward the wall.

"Me too Marinette, me too" Adrien hovers next to her.

"You know, sometimes I thought to myself that you tried so hard to impress him. Like you wanted him to be proud of you" Marinette said.

"I did, but nothing I ever do is good enough for him. He can't see that nobody can be that perfect" Adrien said.

"And that's what I'm guessing. He doesn't understand that a person in a coma takes days or weeks to wake up. Lila almost got you killed" Marinette said.

"For that, she could face jail" Adrien clenched his fists.

After school was finished, Marinette and Adrien came to the hospital to see if Adrien's body is doing okay. She brought flowers to support him, replacing the dead ones with fresh ones.

"Thank you, Marinette" Adrien thanked her.

"You're welcome, Adrien." Marinette held his real hand.

Adrien felt the tingling on his transparent hand when Marinette touched his real hand.

"Be strong, Adrien" Marinette held his hand as she sat on a chair.

"I don't understand. My body is alive and I should be reunited with it" Adrien said.

"Have you tried?" Marinette asked.

"No, because I don't know If I'm able to," Adrien said.

"I guess we'll have to wait until your body is recovered" Marinette sighed.

"I suppose so but I hope that no other villain is gonna come and kill me," Adrien said.

"You told me that Lila reanimated your body into a zombie. I don't call that bringing you to life" Marinette said.

"Nope, making me undead," Adrien said.

"And undead doesn't mean the same as alive," Marinette said.

"Not one bit" Adrien replied.

"How's Nathalie doing? Has your father visited her that often?" Marinette asked.

"No, she resigned from his business and he doesn't visit her at all," Adrien said.

"Very unsupportive of him. Doesn't he ever respect anything?" Marinette asked.

"Well....No" Adrien replied.

"Something doesn't feel right, Adrien. You're gonna have to sneak in the mansion to see what he's up to" Marinette said.

"No way. I'm not like my traitor cousin and I don't get in people's privacy" Adrien refused.

"He can't see you" Marinette reminded him.

"Oh, that, yes" Adrien scratched his neck embarrassed.

"I'll tell Ladybug to be at the mansion with you," Marinette said.

"This sounds stupid but I'll do it. But I'll tell Ladybug not to get involved. My father doesn't like visitors" Adrien said.

"Got it, Adrien" Marinette nodded.
