Adrien couldn't believe what he was seeing. A ghost of his mother hugging him with love that he really missed. Monarch couldn't see them and he retreated back to his lair.

"Mom, I missed you" He hugged her back.

"What happened? How did you end up like this?" Emilie asked.

"Father sent me into a coma as Monarch, I was saving Ladybug's life" Adrien explained.

"I can't believe he did that. For over a year, he can't see me and it's breaking my heart that he won't move on. I've seen what he did" Emilie said sadly.

"He's not the father I know anymore. What am I going to do?" Adrien asked.

"He needs to be stopped but he won't listen to reason. All he wants is to get the ladybug and cat miraculous to wish me back but he can't do that because someone else will have to take my place. It was you to pay the price" Emilie explained.

"I can't let that happen. Has he lost his senses completely? How can I stop him if Ladybug can't do it alone?" Adrien got worried.

"You'll find a way, my kitten" Emilie rubs his cat ears.

"I will mom, I'm gonna end this once and for all" Adrien said.

"This is not my husband anymore. He's gone too far by torturing the kwamis" Emilie sobs.

"I wish I could have undone it. Ladybug needs Cat Noir before it's too late" Adrien said.

"Adrien, it's never too late to stop your father, Cat Noir or not, I'm proud of you," Emilie said.

"But he's too strong, mom. He neglected me and I felt like a stranger to him. He missed out on how I'm growing up" Adrien said with his cat ears flattened.

"My kitten, your father is corrupted. You can't save him from himself. He has my body in a pod to keep me alive from my coma. I raised you with love in the past and now you must choose a new love for your future" Emilie said.

"I will try, Mom" Adrien replied.

"I know you're not ready to face him but that moment will come," Emilie said.

"I know. I have to take my leave to check on Ladybug and my body" Adrien said.

"Do what you must Adrien. Make me proud" Emilie replied.

"I will," Adrien said and flies through the glass window to head back to the hospital. He can feel his body recovering and that he'll wake up.

"I'm coming, Ladybug. Wait for me" He said while flying.

He found the hospital and flies through the walls and into the room his body is in. The doctors saw that his heart monitor is rising which means his transparency ghost self is fading and that he's gonna wake up in his real body.

"Look! His pulse!" The doctor informed Ladybug.

"Is it happening?!" Ladybug got up from the chair.

Suddenly, Adrien gasped for life and removed the life support, sitting up and coughing hard, finally able to feel his real body to breathe in.

"Adrien! You're back!" Ladybug hugged him.

"Whoa, easy Ladybug!" Adrien gasps for air.

"He's awake!" The doctors said.

"Yeah, what happened?" Adrien pretends to not know.

"You saved my life from an energy blast meant for me" Ladybug explained.

"I had no choice, Ladybug. I had to save you" Adrien held her hand.

"Oh, Adrien. What you did was crazy" Ladybug sobs on his shoulder.

"I know, I'm terribly sorry," Adrien said.

"I forgive you but I'm also grateful," Ladybug said.

"I couldn't let you die," Adrien said.

"Thank you again, Adrien. Also, I kept this silver ring safe" She hands over the camouflaged cat miraculous ring.

"You held it for me?" Adrien asked and puts the ring on his ring finger.

"So no thief would steal it for money," Ladybug said.

"Well thank you Ladybug" Adrien smiled.

"It's a miracle you're awake, Mr. Agreste. We just need to check everything to see if you're healthy" The doctors said.

"Alright, doc" Adrien replied.

"Well, gotta do some hero stuff, see you soon Adrien" Ladybug left the room.

A while later after having Adrien get scanned from the MRI just to make sure there was no concussion or anything severe. So far he was healthy and fine and there's no severe damage in his brain since it's already recovered. He was checked out of the hospital but didn't wanna go home. He still remembers what he saw. He then spots Blue Avis again. He ran into the alley and Plagg was grateful to be out of his kitten's chest. Thank god technology didn't notice him because kwamis can't be seen in photos or film.

"I had the weirdest dream ever but I'm glad to be out," Plagg said.

"Yeah, Plagg claws out!" He transformed back to Cat Noir.

In a green flash, he did a wall jump to get to the roof to stalk that bird like his prey, "Going somewhere?!" He lands in front of him.

"Cat Noir?!" Blue Avis exclaimed.

"Your cousin told me everything! I can't believe you betrayed him, me, especially to my lady! I'm starving for a bird like you!" Cat Noir extends his claws.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Technically speaking, cats don't eat peacocks!" Blue Avis backs away.

"So you realize what you have done?!" Cat Noir growled.

"Next time, eat a real monster instead of birds!" Blue Avis changed the subject.

"You started this mess and you deserve to be punished!" Cat Noir yowled and tries to claw him to death.

Blue Avis jumps aside, having never seen him this violent before. Especially when it comes to cats wanting to attack an enemy out of anger.

"I'm going to pluck every feather from you!" Cat Noir ran on all fours.

"Have mercy on me!" Blue Avis pleaded.

"No mercy this time! You are so gonna get eaten right now!" Cat Noir yowled.

He ran at him, then back again to kick him up in the air before striking him from right to left and right again. He lands on the ground again and rapidly strikes at Blue Avis repeatedly before kicking him in the back.

"AAAAGH!!!" Blue Avis screamed in pain.

"That's the kind of pain milady felt when you betrayed her!" Cat Noir growled.

"Don't kill me!" Blue Avis groaned.

"More like I killed your ego and pride, bird. Are you scared of cats?" Cat Noir crawled on all fours around him.

"No, I'm not. You wouldn't attack a defenseless guy?" Blue Avis asked.

"I saved your ass from Collector and this is the thanks I get?! What kind of selfish brat would repay me by betraying everyone?! You are just like that monster, Felix! A monster that has no conscience or heart!" Cat Noir decided to leave him since the peacock brooch makes him happy.

Later on, he sat on a rooftop waiting for Ladybug after calling her. He did however not have romantic feelings for her because now he loves Marinette. He still remembers the pain of how he felt abandoned by teaming up with that dog. But he knows both he and she has been tricked by the same guy.

"Hey there Kitty Cat" He heard Ladybug's voice.

"Hey there Ladybug" He replied.

"Where have you been?" She asked.

"Eh, family stuff" Cat Noir lied.

"I see. Well, Adrien has been in a coma for some time and I can never be more grateful he saved my life from that akuma attack" Ladybug said.

"He did what? That's my job to take hits for you, milady" Cat Noir said.

"You weren't there, Kitty. It still pains me we haven't found Monarch nor the new peacock villain" Ladybug said.

"I can tell you something to cheer you up. I taught Blue Avis a real big lesson" Cat Noir smirked.

"Blue Avis? You mean there's a new holder?" Ladybug gasped.

"Yes, he was Flairmidable, the backstabber," Cat Noir said.

"You tried to eat that bird, kitty? Was he delicious?" Ladybug teased.

"Yeah, tasted like chicken" Cat Noir joked.

"Good. I so wanna punch that traitor again" Ladybug said.

"And I'll be sure to eat him for you again. He betrayed both of us" Cat Noir said, pretending to lick his arm like a cat.

"Yeah, to be honest, you're better than that dog" Ladybug scratched his chin.

"You really mean it?" Cat Noir purred.

"Would I lie?" Ladybug said.

"You once did by getting all goo goo eyes on that dog you thought was Adrien. You have a lot to make up for me, milady" Cat Noir purred.

"I know, Kitty" Ladybug replied.

"It was very wrong of you to abandon your favorite cat. Cats don't like dogs" Cat Noir said with a smirk that she's finally learned her lesson.

"Yeah, I shouldn't have and I deeply apologize" Ladybug gave in.

"That's better, milady. Let's go patrolling to clear our heads" Cat Noir suggested.

"Of course, Kitty" Ladybug ran with him.

It would take some time for the heroes to defeat Monarch once and for all, as long they remain inseparable.
