Red Bunny Ears? ~Amber~

⚠️Female reader⚠️

Y/n POV:

Today is basically an average day for me. I live in Mondstadt with my aunt since my parents wanted to be adventurers and travel the world. They thought it was best if I was to stay with my aunt while they traveled. They sent me letters and occasionally gifts of the places they were or had visited. A couple of years passed and I received a letter in the mail from my father stating that he and my mother was to get a divorce. I was never provided a reason as to why though. When the divorce was finalized, I rarely received anything from my mother but my father was still sending me letters.

Here I am now in a forest because my aunt sent me out to get some more flowers for her shop. The flowers in the basket were overflowing to the point some were falling out, but I was told to pick as many as I possibly could. I looked up at the delightful blue clouded sky. My (e/c) eyes made out multiple shapes in the clouds. However, something grabbed my attention from the sky and back to the ground. A rustling sound coming from the bush close to me.

"Hello?" I said loudly, hoping whatever was in the bush was human.

I gradually backed away from the bush just in the chance, it was a monster. The rustling sound grew noisier and two red bunny ears bulged out. 'Red bunny ears?' I thought. I snatched the nearest tree branch up from the ground, clenched it in my hand, and pointed it at the bush. Finally, a human girl stepped out, her bow and arrow aiming straight at me. I fell to the ground startled, thankfully the basket fell into my lap. Fear slowly creeping into my body, I swiftly examined the girl. She had brunette hair and fierce orange eyes that were squinting at me. A red bunny headband and old-fashioned-looking goggles on her head.

"P-please don't hurt me!" I cried out, making an effort not to sound frightened but it didn't work.

"Huh?" The girl responded, lowering her wooden bow.

She looked at me as if she was studying me. I probably looked ridiculous anyway, I mean I was sitting on the dirt with a basket of flowers in my lap

The brunette girl spoke up and stuck her hand out, "I'm so so sorry! I thought you were a hilichurl."

"Oh no, I'm pretty confident I'm human. Uh, the name's (Y/n) (L/n)!" I said, grabbing her hand.

I set the basket packed with flowers on the ground with my other hand and placed them on the ground. She gently helped me off the ground and onto my feet. I bent over and picked up the basket, putting it back on my arm, and making sure no flowers spilled out.

"Outrider Amber, reporting for duty! But you can just call me Amber," She said giving me a soft big goofy smile.

I felt a blush come across my face as Amber grinned at me.

"Why are you out here alone, (Y/n)?" Amber questioned, glancing around to see if she could catch a glimpse of anyone else with me.

"I was gathering flowers for my aunt. She owns a flower boutique in the city of Mondstadt. But I was just heading back home," I said, showing Amber the basket of flowers I picked.

"Oh then as a knight of Favonius, I'll gladly walk with you back to the city and make sure nothing happens to you," Amber declared, giving me another goofy smile.

"Okay! Let's go, Amber!" Returning the same goofy smile as we headed for the city of Mondstadt.
