Revenge

Blair shrieks as she paces around her bedroom. While, Chuck is seated on her bed looking at her uninterested.

"I can't believe her! She has no idea who she's dealing with. Can you believe the nerve? She literally threatened me in front of Is and Kati," She rants.

Chuck arches his eyebrow, "What did she say?"

"Oh, I'll tell you what she said. She said 'You wouldn't want to be the next Alexis Chambers'. Like how is she gonna threaten me? I'm Blair Waldorf. I run that school and all those mindless people that walk the halls," She rages.

By this point Chuck had stopped listening, he heard Alexis's name and something clicked. He starts to remember how close his relationship with Dawn was back then. A small smile creeped on his face when he thinks about their first kiss.

"-She needs to go," Blair claims, catching Chucks attention.

"In what way?" He questions.

"I have to destroy her. I know everything about her. There's something that she doesn't want people to know," Blair is silent before her eyes light up, "I'll just tell the whole school that she went to rehab for alcoholism."

"Are you sure you want to do that?" Chuck says.

"Yeah, I'm not scared of her," She defends.

"She's powerful Blair, she can do a lot worse than what she did to Alexis," He states.

"Why is it everything time I bring her up, you always take her side?" Blairs scoffs with a hint of jealousy.

Chuck doesn't say anything in response and this upsets Blair.

"Do you still love her?" She asks.

"I'm here with you, right?"

"You didn't answer the question," She whispers.

Chuck stays silent for a moment, almost frozen, "Blair-"

"Answer the question, Chuck."

"I'm not going to sit here and have you interrogate me," Chuck declares getting defensive.

"Fine. Tell me you love me then," She says her voice wavering.

"It's not that easy, Blair."

"But, it was easy when she was gone. Wasn't it?"

Chuck clenched his jaw and averted his eyes.

"Chuck," She whispered, tears welling in her eyes. It starts to hit her, did he really not love her like she loved him?  Did all the moments they spend together mean nothing?

Chuck's silence makes her doubts become real.

"Tell me if what you feel for me is real, or if it's just a game. If it's real then I'm sorry for doubting you, but if it's not. Then please, Chuck, just let me go," She whispers, wiping a fallen tear from her cheek.

He stays silent looking at the broken girl in front of him, "It's just a game, you know I hate to lose."

"Thank you," She muttered.

Chuck beings to feel a pit in his stomach from the guilt. He used one of his good friends as a means of distraction.  He gets up from her bed and tries to reach for her but she swiftly steps back. She doesn't even look at him, almost as if he disgusts her. He lets out a small sigh and leaves her alone in the giant room. Blair lets out a muffled sob and falls apart. She becomes  enraged at the thought of Dawn and everything associated with the girl she used to consider a best friend. With her thoughts clouded by rage and heartbreak, Blair hatches up a plan to get rid of Dawn forever.

"You've taken everything from me. Now it's my turn."

Dawn lays back on the arm of the couch with Nate seated beside her.

"What'd you get for the second question?" Dawn asks dazing at the paper in front of her.

When Nate doesn't respond she looks up to see him staring off into space.

"Nate?" She calls out.

He blinks a few times and turns his head towards her, "Sorry, what were you saying?"

"Hey, are you okay?" Dawn asks concerned for her friend. Nate lets out a heavy sigh and rubs his eyes.

"It's my parents," He groans.

Dawn puts down the papers and puts Nate's hand into hers.

"They keep pressuring me to get back with Blair in time for the Debutante Ball."

"Did you tell them about the situation with Chuck? What have they been saying?"

"My dad thinks that our families uniting would solve our problems and that her cheating on me with Chuck is just a little hiccup."

"Oh, Nate," Dawn says pulling him in for a hug.

"They just don't let me live my life like how I want to, and I'm worried they never will."

"I know it may seem like you have to please your parents but your happiness matters too. Don't change yourself for them, or anyone for that matter. Just know I'm always here for you if you need an escape."

"Thank you, Rosie," He said pulling away from the embrace.

"What else in on your mind?" Dawn asks softly.

"I believe what's stopping me from doing what my parents are asking, is because, I think I like someone else."

Dawn raises her eyebrows in shock, "Wait, is it Serena? Nate-"

"What? No! Whatever Serena and I had is over," He retorts.

"Thank god," She chuckles, "So, who is she?"

A small smile spreads on his face, "She's breathtaking, every time I look into her eyes I'm consumed by thoughts of her."

Dawn feels an unfamiliar pressure in her chest, "Does she know you feel that way?"

"She does now," He whispered, his eyes scanning her face and landing on her lips.

"What?" Dawn says in disbelief.

Their faces remain inches apart and Dawn feels her breath hitch in her throat. Nate slowly starts to lean in but stops when his phone rings. They both come out of their haze and Nate quickly stands up to answer his phone. As he walks out of the room, Dawn put her head in her hands and tries to understand what was about to happen. Her phone buzzed and she scoffs at the blast in front of her.

Looks like you can take the girl out of the party but not the party out of the girl. Turns out the reason our favorite blonde disappeared last year was because she liked more than one drink. Rehab for alcoholism is a cute look on Rockstar's, not so much for you Emsworth.

XOXO GOSSIP GIRL

"How adorable," She muttered annoyed.

Nate hurriedly walks back into the room and grabs his things.

"Nate? What's wrong?" Dawn asks worried.

"Nothing-um- I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" He rambles leaving the penthouse.

Dawn plops back down on the couch contemplating her next moves. She knew Blair leaking her secret was bound to happen but she didn't expect it so soon. There was nothing Dawn had on Blair seeing as they weren't friends anymore and was completely out of the loop on what was going on with her. She grumbles in frustration and decides to sleep on it because, frankly, Dawn didn't give two shits about what people thought of her. She just doesn't like losing.

Dawn woke up from her nap to her phone ringing in her face, she groggily answers the call.

"Hello?" She slurs.

"Dawn, can you meet me downstairs in the lobby?"

It takes a moment for her to comprehend who she was talking to, "Wait, who is this?"

"It's Chuck."

"I don't feel like walking right now and you woke me up from my nap. So, no."

She hangs up the call before he finished talking and tries to fall back asleep. The elevator dings and her eyes shoot open.

"Chuck?" She calls out.

She doesn't hear a response but instead hears heavy footsteps by her door. She sits up to see Chuck walking through her bedroom door.

"You scared me," She whined.

"Sorry."

"What are you doing here?"

"I came to let you know that Blair is planning to destroy you," He stated.

"Oh, that's nice. Hope she has fun," She muttered before laying back down.

Chuck stands by her bed at a loss for words, she still feels his presence and turns to look at him.

"Yes? What are you still doing here?" She questioned.

"That's it? No, empty threats or scheming?" He says with confusion written all over his face.

She sighs, "What Blair doesn't seem to understand is that I'm scary to some people. Therefore, that little gossip girl blast isn't going to affect me because people are too scared to rebel against me."

"I see," He replied clenching his jaw.

"I'll give your little girlfriend credit though, trying to take me down like I did Alexis," She fake smiles.

"She's not my girlfriend," He murmured.

"Does Blair know that."

"Yes."

A small wave of happiness flows through her, "Are you trying to tell me that you broke up?"

"Was it not obvious?"

"You're funny," An idea pops in her head, "Actually, do you want to be my boyfriend?"
