Chapter 11

"It's time to go back," Storm finally said to Nashi looking at her furrowed eyebrows. He sighed and walked over to her using his hand to gently lift her chin to look at him. "Hey take the small victory, we will get through the rest together." She looked up into his eyes and blushed nodding at his reassuring words. "Let's go," Nashi said to him.

(Back at the guild)

Nashi sat up in her bed slowly waking up and out of the nightmare. "Thank goodness," Wendy and the others said, finally knowing their friend was safe. She looked over at Storm anxiously waiting for him to wake up. She watched as his ocean blue eyes slowly opened and searched for her, "Nashi." He asked for her hoping she was safe. His eyes met her worried brown eyes and she gave him a smile, "I'm glad you're okay," she said, taking a breath of relief. He finally sat up and walked over to her quietly asking, "Are you ready to end this?" She nodded stretching and standing up to follow him downstairs.

Lucy ran over wrapping her arms around her daughter thankful she was back and safe. Natsu and Igneel walked over, joining the hug. Natsu nodded at Storm silently thanking him for saving his daughter. Storm kept walking over to the table as his mother wrapped him in a hug, "I'm so glad you are safe my dear Storm," Juvia said with tears in her eyes. He offered his mom a small smile, removed her arms from around him, and continued to walk. "Hey man, glad you both are okay," Gale said standing up and smacking Storm's back. He nodded at Gale then looked at the map, "I know where to find Dante." Jellal and the others stopped and looked at him, "Dante?" "The bastard who hurt Nashi," was all Storm said as he pointed to an area on the map. Storm began telling everyone what they learned within the nightmare, leaving out what happened to Nashi.

"I see, this is good information," Gramps said looking at the team. "Alright, we should send a team." Simon nodded at Master, "We will need at least 8 people to take down the main guild members with possibly 2 more for backup and support." Gramps nodded and looked over at Nashi. "Only ash will be left when I'm done with him," Nashi said, causing everyone to turn and look at her. Her pink hair was covering her eyes and her fists were clenched. No one said anything until Nashi looked up and finally spoke, "Team Nashi will go. We could use Raiden and Nova's help as well." "Good now we just need two more," Simon said, agreeing with Nashi. Gramps nodded thinking of who he should send as the last two spots. "Well it's a good thing we decided to come back when we did," a low male voice said, causing the guild members to look over at the two figures. Draco the twenty year old son of Kinana and Erik along with Elfgreen Strauss nineteen year old son of Evergreen and Elfman stepped forward grinning. Draco had maroon spiky hair like his father but warm inviting green eyes like his mother. Elfgreen was tall and muscular just like his father also having his eyes but his mother's light brown hair.

Draco grinned at Nashi and walked over towards the group, "I'm glad you're okay too," he said quietly to her looking at her with his piercing green eyes hearing her thoughts. Nashi's face began to heat up but she quickly flashed the two a smile. "Alright we leave in an hour, get ready," Simon said to the now assembled group of ten mages. Gale walked over to Storm who looked at Draco and shook his head muttering, "I hate that guy." Gale laughed when he heard him causing Storm to look at Gale. "I wonder what he knows since he can hear people's thoughts," Gale wondered out loud. He watched Storm get angry when Draco walked over towards Nashi. "Hey I was going to ask if you were okay," Gale said quietly looking at his best friend. Storm pulled his eyes away from Nashi and looked at Gale, "I'll be better when we find this guy." "How bad was it?" Storm stopped and ran his hand through his hair. He looked down at the ground and Gale understood. Gale smacked Storm's back, "Well let's get going then."

The group made it to the train station and the pink haired mage groaned, "Why do we have to take this thing?" Nova giggled at her friend, "It's a quick ride Nashi then we will be on the boat." Nashi's face dropped when she heard her say boat. "Come on," Igneel said, dragging his sister onto the train and into one of the booths. Nova, Igneel, and Simon followed her taking a seat across from her bench. Draco walked in and smiled at Nashi, "Looks like I get to sit next to you."

Gale POV

I listened to Draco and knew Storm was going to be annoyed. Storm didn't just risk his life to save her and went through who knows what for Draco to just swoop in. I looked over and saw his fists clenched as he rolled his eyes. He went into the booth across from them taking a seat next to the window. I was going to say something when I heard my sister, "Actually, I'm sitting next to Nashi." I laughed as she was dragging her bag of books struggling to get it onto the train. Igneel jumped up to help her. Emery smiled at Draco who finally backed down. He sighed and took a seat across from us in our booth. I saw Emery look at Storm and smile, his hands relaxed to normal.

Raiden and Elfgreen were the last to get on and took seats in our booth too. I laughed in my head at how awkward this was. Most of the guys in this booth didn't like each other and really only had one thing in common, Nashi Dragneel. My eyes wandered from Raiden to Draco and finally landed on Storm. He had his head on the window looking outside. I laughed then nudged Storm, "I bet you wished you would have walked right about now." He rolled his eyes at me as I chuckled. I looked over and saw the lively booth across from me. They were all talking and laughing about books and adventures. My eyes landed on a beautiful smile with bright blue eyes shining. Nova caught me looking and offered me a smile causing my face to heat up. I quickly looked away feeling my stomach begin to churn. I knew only part of it was from my motion sickness, the rest was her. I closed my eyes and began to fall asleep.

"Hey wake up, we're here," I heard Storm say, waking me up. I looked around to see almost everyone off the train. Storm stood up grabbing his and Nashi's bag. I looked over to see Nova trying to get her last bag. I walked up behind her and grabbed it, "I got it." I said quietly to her. I watched her face turn slightly pink but she gave me that beautiful smile again, "Thanks". She turned and we both stopped to see Storm looking at us with a smirk on his face. I could feel a slight blush on my cheeks as I looked away. I know I'll hear about this later.

We got off the train and I saw Nashi laying on the grass. "The boat is over here, let's get going, we don't want to waste time," Simon told us walking towards the boat. Nashi let out another groan. We all got on the boat sitting on the deck talking about the mission. Nova brought some medicine with her to help with all the dragon slayers motion sickness, she's amazing. I looked over to see Storm and Nashi both looked tired and they haven't argued or fought once. I don't blame them and guessing by Storm's reaction earlier, it was not just physically draining. After talking for a while I motioned to Simon to look at them.

Nashi POV

I was exhausted and tried to fight falling asleep. Simon walked over to Storm and I while telling us to follow him. We both got up not wanting to anger the red head. He opened a few doors and we were in a room which I believe to be the infirmary. "You both should try to rest for a bit." Simon told us and continued when I was going to tell him I was fine, "We need you both at your best for the big fight." Storm and I nodded as Simon left, shutting the door behind him. Storm didn't say anything to me, he took off his shirt making me blush and climbed into the bed next to me. I followed his lead and took the other empty bed next to him feeling my eyes get heavy.

I woke up to hear crying and screams. I looked over to see they were coming from Storm. The door flew open revealing Gale, Simon, and Igneel. They saw my worried eyes, "Dammit this must be one of the side effects Macbeth warned us about," Gale said, running his hands through his blue hair. Side effect? Did Storm come save me knowing he would experience the curse? "He doesn't appear to be taking any physical damage so he must just be experiencing the nightmares." Igneel said after looking at Storm. "What do we do?" Simon said, looking at us. I stood up and walked over towards the others, "This is my fault," I said quietly looking at my best friend asleep in fear. "Don't worry, I'll take care of him." I said not taking my eyes off him. The others must have understood and left shutting the door behind me.

I crawled into bed next to Storm and laid my head on his shoulder placing my hand on his heart. His breathing began to steady. I whispered, "It's okay Stormy, I'm here," over and over until he calmed down. I looked up to see he was still sleeping but he did look more peaceful. I felt sadness take over knowing he was going through this and it was my fault. "I'm so sorry," I tried to hold the tears back and my eyes became clouded. "Hey don't cry Nashi," Storm opened his eyes and was wiping away my tears with his thumb.

Storm POV

I could feel something wrong, she was upset. I opened my eyes to see Nashi with tears in hers. "Hey don't cry Nashi," I said gently, wiping away her tears. She was usually so happy, like the sunlight, that I hated to see her sad and crying. Her eyes went wide when she realized I was awake. Wait, why was she in my bed and crying? Then I thought back, I was having nightmares. Shit, she must know and now I'm having side effects. "I'm sorry, this is my fault," I heard her quietly squeak out. I pulled her close to my chest and shook my head, "Shhh, no it's not. I'm okay Nash, and soon we will finish all this." I felt her nod against my chest. I knew she was tired, we both were. I gently rubbed her head, running my fingers through her hair. She pulled the blanket up covering us and we both drifted off to sleep.
