LYON'S POV
Gray and I went in to town to buy supplies. Once we're done, we start walking back to Fairy Tail, when suddenly,

A bird catches my attention, it has a heart on it's chest

'I've never seen that kind of bird before'

I'm attracted to it, I have the urge to follow it. And it seems that Gray didn't notice the bird at all

"Hey Gray, I'm going to take a walk for a while. Tell Yuka, Toby, and Sherry that I'll come back later. I'm going bird watching"

Gray looks at me curiously and weirdly but nods anyway

"Okay then" he says me as he walks away

GRAY'S POV
'Bird watching? I didn't know he loves birds'💧

"Oh and Gray"

"Hmm?" I turn to him

"Tell my darling Juvia that I'll be with her soon"

"..."

"Plus, you can't take her now that you have a girlfriend" he says

"I WAS NEVER INTO HER IN THE FIRST PLACE!" I yell

"Just making sure" he says as he turns his back and walks away

CELESTIA'S POV
"That was a lot of fun" Constella comments

"Yeah it was" Cosmica nods in agreement

"I never thought that this place contained so many gorgeous clothes" I say

We start making our way back to the guild

When I see a beautiful bird sitting on a branch on a tree, I stop in my tracks

'Wow. It's so pretty! It even has a heart carved feathers on its chest!'

Cosmica and Constella also stops and turns back to look at me with questioning looks

"What's wrong Cel?" Constella asks

"You seem to be deep in thought" Cosmica comments

"that bird" I point to where the bird is sitting

Cosmica and constella looked at the direction where I was pointing

"Wow" Cosmica and Constella looks at it in awe

"It is indeed pretty. And I've never seen that kind of bird before, but we must head back to the guild. The others might be wondering where we are, we never really did tell them we're going shopping. Besides, Levy and I are supposed to hang out today" Cosmica says

"Yeah you're right" Constella nods in agreement

"Can an you guys head back to Fairy Tail first? I want to stay here and look at the bird a little while longer" I tell them

"Huh? But what about your welcoming party?" Constella asks

"Yeah. Plus, you might get lost on your way back. This is your first time on earth" Cosmica adds

"It'll be fine. I can just ask the humans around here how to get to the guild just like the first time" I tell them

They seem hesitant but eventually agreed. They even offered to carry my shopping bags with them. Good thing I didn't buy a lot or else they would have a lot of trouble with it and I'd slightly feel bad... slightly

As I turn back to face the bird, it's flying away. I quickly follow it

I continue to follow the bird, finding myself in a forest

'Where are you going bird?'

I start to take in my surroundings, looking all over the place while still looking back and following the bird

'Forests in the human world is so different'

LYON'S POV
I continue to follow the bird. Before I knew it, I'm in the forest

I focus all my attention on the bird

Then it lands on a branch of a tree to where another bird with it's same kind is

I stare at both at them, then---

CELESTIA'S POV
Once I see the bird land on a branch of a tree, another bird of it's same kind lands on the same branch, I continue to walk closer when--

*Thud*

I bump into someone. We didn't fall so it didn't hurt

"Watch it buddy!" I angrily tell the person who bump into me

"Celestia?" the person question

I open my eyes to look who I bump in to and surprised it was Lyon

"Lyon?"

LYON'S POV
I bump into someone. I turn to the person

"Watch it buddy" the person sayd agrily

I'm surprised that it's Celestia. She have her eyes closed

"Celestia?"

She slowly opens her eyes as she looks at me

"Lyon?"

We stare at each other in surprise

"What are you doing here?" we ask each other at the same time

"I was following that bird" we answer in sync

We stare at each other, Celestia slightly glaring at me

"Who gave you permission to talk at the same time at me?" she asks

"It's just a coincidence" I say in defense

"I guess I could forgive just this once" she says

All I could do is sigh at her attitude

"Ahat a coincidence that we're following the same kind of bird" I tell her, trying to get on her good side

'You're lucky you're Gray's friend and a girl' I thought to myself

We stare at the birds for a few moments

Then an old man's voice was suddenly heard

"Thank goodness my birds are safe"

We look towards where the voice came from

We see an old man holding a fancy looking birdcage

"Oh hello sir" I bow

And so does Celestia

"Are those your birds sir?" I ask just to make sure I heard him right

"Yes that's right, those birds are supposed to be a gift for my daughter. Thank you for looking after the birds. You two are such a nice couple"

"What? Oh no sir, we're not a couple" I tell him

"I'd never go out with a human" Celestia looks away with a humph

"Geez. We could deal with less of that attitude" I comment

"Well I'm sorry for being honest" she replies as she looks at me with a seducing grin

"A-Anyway, we just happen to bump in to each other here as I was following that bird and Celestia the other one" I explain as I point at the birds

"Oh really? It must be fate then"

"Huh?" I look at him confusedly

"What do you mean by fate? It was just a coincidence sir" Celestia says

"*Chuckle* maybe, but you see....

COSMICA'S POV
As we walk back towards the guild, we bump in to Gray, who was naked. Again

"Hey girls" Gray sayd as he kiss Constella on the lips

Constella smiles fondly at him

"Hm? Where's Celestia?" he asks

"Bird watching" Constella replied

"Where's Lyon?" I ask

"Bird watching" Gray sighs

"I didn't know your friend likes bird watching" Constella says

"I didn't know either. And what about Celestia? She doesn't look like the type who likes birds, much less bird watching" Gray comments

"She doesn't, but the bird is super cute" I want one!" I say dreamily

"Cosmi"💧

CELESTIA'S POV
"Those kind of birds are very rare. I was in your age when I saw the male bird. It always sits on the branch of a tree of my front yard. One day it started flying away, out of curiousity, I followed it. I followed and followed and followed. Until I saw a beautiful lady, following the same kind of bird I was following. Ever since that faithful day, that lady and I started having faithful encounters. And a few years later, we got married. Those birds stayed with us up until now. My wife and I believed that we were brought together by a red string of fate and those birds are the string. I did a little research before and found out that those birds are believed to lead you to your true love. Everyone who followed that kind of bird will find their true love. I'm sure you noticed the hearts on their chest area"

"I see. So the reason you want to give them to your daughter because--" Lyon starts

"My daughter is getting married to a wonderful man. If they are ever apart or lost, all they have to do is follow those birds and they will find their way back to each other again"

"I'm guessing that you two might end up together for following those birds" the old man adds

"I'm sorry but that will never happen. I'm not interested in humans, so Lyon doesn't interest me. And if I ever did fall in love, it's gonna be with a spirit like Orion" I tell him

"And I'm in love with someone else" Lyon adds

"Well who knows what could happen in the future" the old man laughs as he walks towards the birds

The birds flies above him and in to the bird cage

"Well. I'll have to get going before I miss my own daughter's wedding, my wife will get mad at me if I'm late. Again, thank you for taking care of the birds" the old man says as he waves goodbye

"Red string of fate? Huh?" I mumble

"Us? Fall in love? With each other? *Laugh* that will never happen"

LYON'S POV
I stare at the laughing Celestia

"I don't believe in fate. I'm not interested in falling in love and your inlove with someone else. It will never work" she comments

I stand there, can't utter a single word

"Wanna head back to fairy tail together?" I ask her

"Sure" she nods as we start walking out of the forest

I look at Celestia and it seems that her mood changed back to how it normally is, calm and smiling

It's like nothing ever happened in the forest

CELESTIA'S POV
I start acting like nothing ever happened in there. I don't want to show anyone how surprised I am by the old human's words about fate. I don't believe in it. And love will just bring me down
