Prologue

It's been eight years since the second major war for the Greek demigods. Eight years since the gods turned their backs to Perseus Jackson, One of their brightest and strangest demigod heroes. Eight years since her death , Annabeth Chase. Her girlfriend of four years. Eight years since Percy saved Samantha, a child of Thanatos, a banshee. Their meeting must have been a sign sent by the fates because her life drastically change.

Perseus had left both camps to be nothing but memories of her past. There was nothing their for her anymore. She had seen her friend and lover die before her eyes and betrayal fill her dreams. So, yeah, there was nothing. Nothing but regret, guilt, hurt, and shame. No even tried to stop the daughter of Posideon. They knew she played her role as hero long enough and knew she deserved to have a life besides fighting for everyone else.

But that's the funny thing about Percy Jackson. Percy doesn't exactly know when to quite. She can be turned away by the gods, forgotten, depressed, and hurt beyond belief and she'll still fight. She'll fight with every fiber in her body and she won't stop tell she stops breathing completely.

Which leads to her current state of beginning. She lived in small apartment that's in upstate New York City. She shared it with the only friend she had, Samantha Martinez. The banshee was easy to live with. They both would often go visit his mother, Sally Jackson and step father, Paul Blofis and Percy half sister, Estelle.

It wasn't perfect, in fact, it was a real Greek tragedy, she would work herself to brink of insanity and exhaustion, than she would go out and fight hoards of monsters that were New York City. It was sad really, she used to be respected hero, an inspirational house hold name among both Greeks and Romans, but she was nothing but a name in the wind.

“ Come get me you little shits!” yelled Percy as she lifted her sword,  Riptide, in the air. Her fingers tightened around it's hilt, the celestial brozen was icy cold against her palm of her hand. She stabbed her sword into a Hydra's chest before yanking it roughly out. The Hydra turned to golden ash. Percy recoiled backwards as another Hydra crept towards her.  Percy's eyes flickered about her battle field as she took everything thing in. She was surrounded.

“ Shit shit shit.” Percy muttered to herself. She snarled at the Hydra before throwing her sword at it's chest like it was spear. Percy slide under one of the other Hydra's before grabbing her sword from the golden ash. She shifted her feet as she stared atleast standing Hydra. She panted. She was beyond exhausted. She hadn't slept in two days and has been running purely on her adrenaline rush.

“ For fuck sakes! ” Percy growled as she was thrown roughly into a wall. The raven haired demigod coughed roughly as the Hydra stretched up her side. She screamed as the Hydra digged it's claws into her abdomen. She hissed out in pain as she kicked the beast back. She raised her hands before commending all the water that was near her to hit the Hydra. The Hydra went flying backwards. Percy ran her hand over her stomach and felt her that her shirt was seeping in her own blood. She groaned.

“ Damnit, Sammy going to murder me.” she muttered as she picked up her sword.

“ Damn right I am! ” shouted Samantha as she killed the last Hydra with her a shot if her arrow.

“ What the hell are you thinking Percy! We have the work party tonight remember.” said Samantha. Percy shrugged in response.

“ Wasn't.” she admitted with a shrug which made Samantha sigh.

“ Let's get you home and fixed up.”
