Chapter Nine

Then he walked away, and Zasha scoffed.

Zasha: UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

Garrett ran when he saw Libby leaving the entrance doors.

Garrett: Libby wait!!

I turned around and looked at him with a fake smile.

He caught up to me.

Garrett: I'm so sorry about that!

Libby: Oh, it's okay...

Garrett: No! It's not okay. Zasha was very rude, and we had a toxic conversation and I'm so relieved it was the last.

Libby: You didn't deserve Zasha. She didn't treat you right and I know when you do find that special girl. She will make you feel alive and love again without abusing in the relationship.

He looked at me deeply.

Libby: Why are you staring at me?

Garrett: Your amazing, beautiful girl.

I blushed very hard.

Garrett: I'm surprised your single! Any guy would be lucky to have you. And maybe that lucky guy can take you to the Valentine's Day dance.

My eyes looked so lost in his eyes. He steps forward little bit and almost kissed me, but I stopped him.

Libby: I can't do this. Look you're so sweet and I'm flattered but I can't go to the dance with you.

I really wanted to kiss him, but I made a huge promise to myself not let love exist anymore. I rather miss opportunities like this and not get hurt from a broken heart. If I dated him at this moment, we would have broken up before going to college.
