I see this girl short and sweet,

my breath falters whenever our eyes meet,

church bells ringing in my ears,

I have been pining over her for years,

I cannot take action,

because I'm mortified of her reaction.

I smile and goof around like a fool, 

when she is around I lose my cool,

it's in the air when she is around, 

my feelings for her will always be unfound.

My anxiety becomes my disability,

this stumps our compatibility,

I overthink each step,

flounder at every breath,

I make myself anonymous

but in my story she is eponymous.
