Poem

The group that stands before me now
Echoes with laughter.
They join in a merry chorus
Of things they are, but I am not.

I used to be there with them,
Standing by their side.
But now I am a foreigner.
My "friends" have pushed me aside.

Once upon a dream,
We stood there together it seemed,
Doing what we loved to do,
Before they shunned me away.

It was only one day that I was gone,
One day that changed my life,
One day with the new girl,
And now I don't belong.
