Throughout the woodlands, your heart pounded against your chest like a beating drum. You knew this was insane. Yet, the sheer thought of everyone's demise was enough to make the doubt in your mind dissipate.

You admit that your recklessness has only caused trouble for those around you, but it has also caused you to gain a home, friends, and a family. You were not going to let that be taken away from you.

"Wait-!" Kaminari harshly whispered as he grabbed onto you and Sero's wrists.

The two of you stopped in confusion as to why the blond stopped you both. But as you were about to start asking questions, you followed his gaze towards the foliage. A bush began to rustle not far from where you three stood.

Did they find you? No, they couldn't have. Then who-

'Your worries were cut short as Iris pounced out of the bushed towards your form. A yelp escaped you as you hit the ground.

"Iris!" You exclaimed happily as your arms wrapped her in a warm embrace.

The two boys looked at your comrade with awestruck eyes as they took in her sudden appearance.

"Aw, she's so cute." Kaminari cooed as he bent down towards her. But Sero just let out a sigh.

"Just a second ago you were cowering in fear, and now you think she's cute?"

"Well yeah! Cause she is." He protested. "Look at her. She's adorable."

As much as you wanted to be smiling at the boys' actions, your happiness was short lived. There was a realization. The frantic squirming of the small dragon caught your attention. Her body shifted and turned towards a certain direction as whines and whimpers escaped her.

You had seen her act this way multiple times before. The first was when the humans attacked the town. The second was the disguised assassin. This time however, you knew exactly what she wanted.

You placed Iris down on the ground before softly running your fingers across the top of her head. "Lead us there Iris."

The boys looked at you confused as you stood up, but it wasn't long before they got the hint.

With one last roar, Iris bolted further into the tree line with you all close behind her. You just hoped that you weren't too late.

The clashing of metal grew louder as the fight carried on. Soldier after soldier, the vanguard who had made their appearance in the battle managed to subdue them all. There was only one final opponent left.

Izuku Midoriya.

The king stood still, however it wasn't long till he rushed into battle once more. Just like before, their swords struck one other with great might.

"Is that all you got?" Deku roared as he raised his the sharp end of his blade. There was an opening. They both saw it.

Before it made contact, he noticed a glimpse of a weapon heading towards him. It was Iida. Instinctually, he jumped back only to see a sheet of ice, similar to before, coming towards him.

Deku leaped further away trying to dodge the continuous attack. It was three against one now. They had the advantage.

"Are you alright Bakugo?" Iida asked with concern.

The ash-blonde clicked his tongue as he glared at them both. "I don't need your damn help!"

"I know." Todoroki said subtly. "We're only here for our friend."

Bakugo's eyes shot towards Todoroki with rage. When his mouth opened to start his usual banter a sudden clang caught their attention.

Iida swiftly jumped in front to block the attack the emerald knight had attempted to make. "Is now really the time for you two to be arguing?!"

The two boys shot one another an irritated glare before jumping back into battle. With each strike, the three fought Deku with an attempt to subdue him. But it appeared it wasn't working in either of their favors.

His strength was equal to a giant, and his reflexes were inhuman. It was as if it was the power of a demon.

That's when it dawned on him. That nerd didn't just make a deal with anyone. He made a deal with one of those self-centered beasts that lie beyond the dark forest. How could he have been so stupid to fall for such a trick?

A painful groan broke the king from his thoughts. The heterochromatic boy wizzed passed crashing hard into the firm ground.

"Todoroki!" Iida shot his gaze towards his friend in a panic only to have regretted the decision.

With one single strike, the freckled boy shot Iida into a nearby structure with more force than any man could handle. Pieces of debris fell down upon him, his glasses now cracked from the impact.

With a snickering growl, Bakugo's attention was brought back towards the possessed man. A devilish grin spread across his features as his eyes began to glow a dark velvet red. Whatever was inside him has full control now.

"What's wrong Kacchan? Scared?" His voice was a bit distorted which sent shivered down the king's spine. But that didn't stop him.

"Like hell I am!" Bakugo scoffed, launching himself towards his opponent.

The demon's smirk never wavered as the fought continuously. They were weak. He was weak.

The dragon king was no longer as powerful as he had displayed before. His attacks were sloppy and with each swing of the king's blade was another opening for the knight to attack.

Bakugo winced in pain as Deku's elbow collided into his diaphragm. Tumbling back onto the ground, Deku took this moment to tower over the crimson king. Raising his blade he prepared his final attack. "Die!"

In reaction, the king rolled over. The blade missed it's mark and instead became imbedded into the dirt.

His blood possessed eyes watched Bakugo with aversion. He needed to make his brethren proud. The infamous dragon king, Katsuki Bakugo, needed to die.

Gritting his teeth, his firm grip against the hilt tightened. He yanked it upward to free his blade from the soiled ground, but all he felt was pain. His hands tingled in an agonizing sensation that ran throughout his entire body.

Almost by nature, He yanked them away from his very weapon. Staring down upon it he noticed a bright golden bolt wrap around the handle of his blade. There was only one person that could shoot a bolt like that.

Lifting his gaze up, he saw the cause. Standing upon a roof was the two men who were acquainted with the dragon king. But that was beyond his concern.

Standing beside them was the very woman that had soiled their plans from the very beginning. The very woman that had refused to die for the master's sake.

"Nice shot Kaminari." Sero complimented his companion.

Kaminari gave a smug grin at the comment that appeared to bloat his ego."It was no biggy."

"Celebrate later. Here he comes." You snapped the boys out of their slight regions as Deku became locked onto your features.

With a scowl, the emerald knight pulled his sword out of the ground with ease. Ignoring his original pursuit, he shifted his objective. Exterminate the rats the resided with the king.

Kaminari's expression quickly shifted into a sense of fear. "He coming towards us!"

Due to his panic, he tried to escape. However, you quickly clung onto the back of his collar. "Not yet..."

"What?" He exclaimed. "He's going to kill us!"

You stayed silent. Your eyes examined Deku's every move before finally— "Now Iris!"

The sound of rumbling stopped the knight in his tracks. Just before him, a wooden beam that was the only stabilization for an awning collapse. He watched in shock as several barrels and wooden planks began to tumble down upon him. However, his reflexes were sharp.

Deku jumped back in time to save himself from the catastrophe that could have unfolded. An animal like growl escaped his lips as he shot his eyes back towards the roof. The three of you were gone,

but you didn't go far. His had caught sight of your form climbing down from the building you had stood your ground on.

That was the last straw.

"Good job Iris." You praised your small friend. She squealed with glee as she flew into your arms.

"Look out!" Your gaze's shot towards Sero to see the emerald knight before you. But as quick as he had appeared so did the king.

"Oh no you don't!" Bakugo swatted his blade upward blocking Deku's attack. Not a second after, Iida and Todoroki made their appearance once more.

Just like before, the three of them exchanged ruthless blows. Alas none managed to strike down upon the boy. You couldn't help but feel fearful.

From the multiple scrapes and bloody wounds that marked their body's you could tell that each one of them were at their limits. They can't keep going for much longer.

"Sero, give them a hand." You looked towards Sero who responded with a nod. You then turned towards Iris. "Stay out of sight. And you," You grabbed onto Kaminari's wrist and began pulling him towards the sidelines."Come with me."

"Wait, what are you-" As much as he wanted to question you, he began to get the picture as you positioned his hand similar to how he had it before.

"I need you to shoot for Deku's hands again." You spoke with a small sense of sternness as you moved beside him. "He may be possessed, but that doesn't mean he can't feel pain."

"W-What?" Kaminari stammered nervously. "But I've never shot with that many people around! What if I hit one of them? What if I miss?! I can't-"

"Kaminari!" You knocked him out of his doubts. Gently, your hand made it's way onto his shoulder hoping to ease his worries. "You got this."

There was still hesitance in his eyes, yet those simple words lit a fire in him. With a deep breath he steadied his aim. Time seemed to pause for an instant as the electricity built up on the end of his finger.

Before anyone knew it, the bolt shot upon the same spot as before. He was disarmed. This was their chance.

All in an instant, everyone attacked. Todoroki and Bakugo rushed in from behind while the other two took aim to the front. But something wasn't right. None of their weapons nor hands reached him.

Instead, there was a push of power that scaled the terrain. A force that knocked everyone off their feet. In a blink of an eye all four of them were collapsed on the ground below.

You and Kaminari watched in horror as Deku stood up from a crouched position he had taken. His eyes locked with your's. Those eyes that craved bloodshed; a look you had never thought would come from a sweet guy like Midoriya.

A bone-chilling breeze seemed to brush down your spine as the sword began to be picked up from it's resting place. He didn't even attempt to hold it accordingly. The worn out blade skidded against the ground with a distasteful noise nobody wished to hear.

In fear, Kaminari sent a surge of energy towards the boy only for it to be deflected by the enchanted blade. Magic had no effect. There was nothing either of you could do. Except for one thing.

"G-Go." Unexpectedly, the electric-blond drew his blade. He was shaking in fear, yet his courage still stayed.

"What? But you'll-"

"It doesn't matter." He cut you off. "Go now!"

You were conflicted. You had a chance to escape. Yet your heart deemed otherwise.

Kaminari watched in shock as you stood beside him, dagger in hand. "This is my fight too."

With a sinister grin, Midoriya charged. The two of you jumped out of the way of his attack. As his blade raised up to strike the blond, you acted without thinking. Shoving Deku to the side caused his stance to falter.

Kaminari took this time to counter, but to both of your dismay Deku was quick to recover. In one swift motion, the end of his hilt collided into his temple. You watched as your comrade fell to the ground, blood oozing from the impact made.

Fear. You were stuck by it. Your body frozen stiff as if it had been thrown in an arctic river. All your friends were down, and it was only you and the beast within this man.

It all happened so fast. Midoriya's body towered over you. His blade glistened in the light as it rose above your head. This was it. This was the end.

"Die."

As you braced for impact, an alarming scream snapped you back. Before your eyes lied the image of the boy frantically kicking his leg around. A growl escaped the creature who managed to attached herself onto the enemy's leg. Iris had come to protect you, and you were glad she did.

Filled with anger, Midoriya raised his blade towards the creature. "Get off of-!" His sentence was cut off as he lost his footing once again. His gaze shifted down upon your form as you lunged onto him.

His sword slid across the floor as the two of you fell onto the firm ground. You had managed to wrap your body around his form to cease his movements. You had pinned him, but who knows for how long.

"Get off of me!" He shouted in anger.

You didn't budge. There was no way you were going to have it end like this. "No!"

It wasn't long before you felt the painful strikes against your back and ribs. His punches were strong, but your will was stronger.

"I said get off!" With on last blow to your cheek, you lost your hold.

A tight grip snaked it's way around your throat. The grip he had upon you was vigorous as he stared down upon you with eyes of hatred. Your hands were small compared to his. It was a minor detail you noticed as you tried to pry his harsh grip from your neck.

Air seemed hard to come by in that moment. You couldn't breath. No matter how hard you struggled, how hard you tried to pull away, his grasp remained.

The world around you seemed to grow dimmer and dimmer the more you fought. Soon, your strength ceased. But something stopped you from letting go of the small shred of life you had in you. And you weren't going to let it go.

"Oi shithead!" A voice sliced through the atmosphere like a pairing dagger.

The sound of the king causing Midoriya to raise his head in disgust. He thought he had knocked each one of them down. How was he still standing? But that was the least of his worries as his carmen eyes locked onto the item in the ash-blonde's hand.

The weary blade was struck upon the terrain with a crash. Exchanging one last glance, Bakugo connected his heel to the center of the crack and weary steel. With a piercing clang the sword snapped in half, the debris spreading across the ground.

A agonizing scream echoed through the air. The red glow that enveloped his eyes disappeared like a foggy mist. The emerald hues that were familiar to the ash-blonde appeared before they were covered by the swift tiredness of the boy.

It all happened so fast. The emerald knight fell to the ground as if all his energy was sipped out of him. For once since this war had started, there was a peace.
