"A letter? For...  me?" I slowly stood up and walked to my mum. "From who?" I asked again, taking it from her. "You'll see." She smiled and walked back to dad. I gave the two a  confused glance, and opened the letter. On the top, it had my name and our address. It the read;

I looked back at my parents, both of them had a proud smile on. But worry filled their eyes. "What... is 'Hogwarts'?" I asked, a little bit confused. "Oh... right... we uh. Never actually told you."

Father then gestured me to sit down in front of them. I reluctantly made my way to them. Sitting with my hands clasped together. "Well, (Y/n). Hogwarts is, as it is said in your letter. It is a school for witches and wizards. Just like me and your father." Mother explained. "But, aren't we... normal people?" I asked, more confused than before. "No (Y/n)... I am afraid. But, it's what we are, it's what are fate really is."

I couldn't  talk. 'Wizards? Witches? Us? Wha...?' From what father said, I'm not sure if I should be scared or be proud of this. "Wait. So... we have magic?" Both of my parents nodded. "I'm happy about that but... why now?" I asked. The amount of questions had burdened me. But this question is one I would really like to know.

My parents gave each other glances and mum said. "You weren't ready back then." Father said. "And we wanted to wait." Mother added.

Still having a puzzled look on. Looked at my parents having the 'are you for real?' look. And again, they nodded. Slumping down, all I manage to get out of me was "Wow..." stars visible on my eyes.

"We're sorry it took us too long to long to tell you." Mother said having a weak smile. "It... it's- it's quite alright. Really." I smiled back at my mum. Father was giving us looks and "So, how's dinner?"

Later that evening, I went to my room and took out my most beloved sketchbook. Hogwarts? What would it look like?  Since when was I a wizard? How was this all possible? Do I believe in magic now? Is this even real?

Looking down, I really want to believe... but I can't "is there anyway that can actually prove it?" I said to myself. I then stood up and started pacing through my room. 'Think, think... how can I make it happen?'

I looked around, trying to think of a way to see if magic really exists. Then, a crumpled paper was on the floor. I was on my way to pick it up, but then I thought. 'This could be it!'

I didn't knew what to do, but from what movies do with magic. You focus on something and... 'that it! I just have to focus' I thought to myself and focused on the paper.

Nothing happened. I wanted to give up, but I need to know. Then... the piece of paper started levitating. It then made it's way to the bin that was next to my desk. "Holy... shi-"

"(Y/n)?" I looked up to see mum. "Mum, how's it going?" I asked sitting back down on my chair. "Is everything alright?"

"Hmm?" I asked. "Is everything alright?" Mum asked again. "Oh... yeah! Everything alright!" Mum smiled at my response and took a seat on my bed. "(Y/n), remember when me and your father had a fight?" She asked. 'When they fought... I-'

"You mean, when I was 5?" I asked, mum then nodded. "That was the first time in forever that your father and I ever fought. Good thing you were there..." Mum quietly said. "Why?" I asked, getting even more curious every second.

"It was the first time that you ever shown magic! Me and your father were proud." She answered. "Really?" I asked smiling widely. Mum laughed at my reaction. "Yes. So, you'll go?"

"Mum. If I would ever let down the family die. I wanna learn more! Like how to properly do spells, get my own wand, and continue the family blood line! Of course I'll go!"

I cannot express my excitement enough. My smile was now ear to ear. Mother stood up and walked to me, she knelt down to my level and said "Hehe, but, just tell me one thing, tell me you'll keep yourself safe there, me and your father don't want anything happening to you." She then hugged me, to which I gladly hugged her back.

"Having fun without me eh?" We looked at where the voice came from. "Father! Hahaha! I was wondering where you were." Father then swooped us both twirling us around. "So?" Dad asked.

"Yes, he's going." Mum answered as she hugged him. Father 'silently' cheered and stood up. "Heck yes! Haha!"

I giggled at father, seeing that he is acting like a child. But mother, mother bursts off laughing making father stop, embarrassed, he scratched the back of his neck. Making us all laugh.

"Alrighty (Y/n)! You better get yourself some rest. Tomorrow we'll have a big day!" Father and father then stood in the middle of the room. "Why?"

"Tomorrow! We'll be headin' to... " Diagon Ally"!"
