Hey People reading me story! So this chapter is a lot about Rowan, Alexei, and Jaxon's point's of veiw. I hope you guys don't mind since I usually keep the chapters to one persons point of veiw most of the time but I thought I should use all of their own thoughts and veiws because one, I've never really done that before an two because I thought it was important for the story but you can tell me if you think it helped the story become more interesting or if it just made you stop reading the story. Depending on what you say I'll either try and work it in every now and then or I'll just never do it again. I do hope you like this chapter though and also the song on the side doesn't have anything to do with the chapter unless you think it does but I'm just really in love with this song and its kind of funny because it's sung my Andy Biersack but whatever. Again, Jaxon is not Andy. Please keep that out of your heads haha.

Jaxon’s P.O.V.

                I woke up and Rowan was gone. At first I was kind of pissed off but then I saw the note on the TV and then I understood why she left. I got dressed and ate breakfast wishing that I could be eating with Rowan. Thirty minutes later I was driving to my work.

                I actually really liked my job. I got to listen to whatever I wanted and I got to talk to and meet new people every day that I’m now friends with. I pulled into the back of the store and parked my truck in my normal place.

                I got out of the truck and when I walked in through the back door someone who looked very familiar guy stood outside the front doors. I set my things down in the back where the small kitchen was and walked to the front of the store opening the door just so I could get out.

“We don’t open for another hour, dude.” I said to him crossing my arms.

“Where was Rowan last night?” The guy asked me with an angry look on his face.

                Now I know where I know this guy from.

“She was with me… Alexei?” I said putting my hands in my pockets.

“Look, I know you too are good friends but she and I just so happen to be trying to fix our relationship so if you could just give her some space that would be great.” He said, tight fists by his side, ignoring that I asked him if that name I used for him was correct.

                I rolled my eyes. Who the fuck did this guy think he was?

“Listen, I have things to do right now so honestly I don’t give a fuck what you have to say at this moment.” I said to him before walking past him and going in the store.

“Stay away from Rowan!” He said to me and I simply flipped him off, not turning around to face him as I did so.

Alexei’s P.O.V.

                I walked into the school pissed off to be completely honest. Why was she with him? She hadn’t answered any of my messages or anything and that also pissed me off. I cheeked at her moms, her dads, every single place I thought she would be and she was never there because she was with the guy who had black messy hair who looked like he could be an asshole to her at any moment.

                I was about twenty minutes late so I hurried to my class and “explained” why I was late. A simple “My grandmothers car died while we were driving” got me out of questioning.

“Hurry back Alex.” My math teacher said to me sternly.

“Yes, sir.” I said before exiting the room.

                As I was walking to my locker I was Rowan and I picked up my pace. She was walking down the hall in the same direction as I was so she didn’t see me until I scared her, all her books and papers falling to the ground as she dropped them in shock.

“Oh my fucking god! You scared the living shit out of me!” She said falling to the ground to pick up her stuff.

                I tried to help her but she pushed my away.

“Rowan I called you like, five times asking where you were yesterday. I was worried.” I said to her helping her up from the ground.

                She laughed and started to walk away.

“Yeah more like twenty times.” She said still walking.

“Rowan I want you to stay away from him.” I said making her stop in her tracks.

                She turned around and locked at me, her face completely pissed.

“Fuck off Alexei.” She said before flipping me off and walking away leaving me there alone.

“Dammit.” I said running a hand through my hair before heading to my locker and getting everything I needed for my math class.

                Let me be the first to say I didn’t mean to piss Rowan off. After this morning I tried to talk to her, even looked straight into her eyes and said I was sorry but she just walked away with now emotion on her face and didn’t say anything.

                I sat down next to her at lunch today and she threw her full plate of food away before heading to the bathrooms just like a couple days ago. I started to get up from my seat when I heard girls screams coming from the restrooms. I ran to the rest rooms a bad feeling in my stomach.

“Oh my god! She slit her wrists right in front of me!” One girl said as she exited the girl’s bathroom.

“Dear god.” Another girl said her shoulders shaking.

                I wanted to run in there and see who they were all talking about but I had a pretty bad feeling I knew who they were talking about. A moment later the nurse came running between all the students and I could hear gasping as the nurse entered.

“I need people to move out of the way please. Rowan dear, can you help me bring Ms. Avery out.” The nurse said making my heart beat calm down a lot.

                A moment later I saw Rowan and the nurse carry a girl out of the restroom her blood on the nurse and Rowan’s shirts.

                Jeez today was fucked up.

Rowan’s P.O.V.

                After the incident at lunch I was completely done with today. I left school and started to make my way to the hospital getting into a free bus going to the location of the hospital.

                I got off and walked the last mile or so and then I reached the hospital. Today was cooler than it had been the last couple of days so I was a bit cold when the wind started to pick up. I finally made my way into the front doors of the hospital making my way to my mom’s room.

                I knocked on the door and I heard my mom’s voice telling me to come in.

“Rowan! Hunny what are you doing here? You’re supposed to be at school right now.” She said to me confused.

“I couldn’t stand being there any longer today mom. First Alexei is acting like a dip shit and trying to apologizing for the same shit he said he would start to work on so we could be together. Then, get this. A girl slits her wrist in front of everyone in the girls bathroom and all the fucking stupid girls at school shriek and cry as if they care and I’m just there trying to help her and then what a great way to start off the morning then to be ten minutes late to school.” I said to her walking back and forth waving my arms around like I was the shit.

                She sighed and called me over to her grabbing my hand as I got close enough.

“Rowan, there are going to be bad days but that doesn’t mean you can just skip school. I’m sorry about Alexei and I’m sorry that you go to school with a bunch of stupid teenage girls but I you’re so lucky to just be in school. I want you there every day after today unless it’s actually canceled or a family emergency happens or if there is not school that day, I want you to be there. Understand me?” She said looking in my eyes deeply.

                I sighed knowing she was right.

“Okay mom. I just, I don’t know what to do as far as Alexei goes. He really got to me today.” I said to her

                She looked at me with the most kind and understanding looks she’s ever given me.

“Rowan, do what your heart tells you to do. Everything will work out the way it’s supposed to in the end.” She said rubbing the top on my hand with her thumb.

“I love you mom.” I said hugging her.

“You need to get back to school Rowan. I’ll right you a note so you won’t get into too much trouble.” She said with a smile.

                Ten minutes later I was back on the bus and hoping that Alexei would have cleaned up his act.

Alexei’s P.O.V.

                I didn’t see Rowan until she walked into sixth hour. She handed our Language Arts teacher a note and then sat down in her spot crossing her arms over her chest.

                I was in the back where as she sat in the front of the room. I wanted to talk to her badly and really apologize to her but I knew she wouldn’t talk to me. She was pissed at me and I could understand why.

                Rowan was someone extremely guarded. She didn’t hang out with a bunch of people and when someone pissed her off she wouldn’t talk or share anything with anyone. With any luck they might get her to write down what she was feeling or at least a smile or any type of emotion but that was a rare sighting.

                I remember her telling me one time that she didn’t eat for a full week straight because her dad had called her fat and that pissed her off a lot.

“He told me I should have just staved myself when I finally ate some cereal that first day I started eating again.” She said to me as she laid with me in my bed.

                Our teacher Mr. Owens excused us to work with someone and I immediately got up and walked over to Rowan going against my better judgment. I sat down next to her and before she could get up and walk away I grabbed her arm.

“Just… just hear me out.” I said as I looked into her eyes.

                She sighed and then nodded waiting for me to continue.

“Before school even started this morning I went to talk to your friend Jaxon.” I said to her and her eyes widened.

“Y- You talked to him?” She said between gritted teeth.

                I nodded and she ran a rugged hand through her hair.

“Rowan you need to tell me what’s going on right now with him. I know you spent the night with him last night and I know he’s not just some friend from a long time ago.” I said to her.

                I saw her facial expressions grow darker and angrier as I went on.

“You don’t know anything about him Alexei. In fact you don’t even understand why I stayed over at his house anyway!” She said to me before turning away.

                I saw her arm movement wipe underneath her eyes and then I understood why she was so upset.

“It was your dad wasn’t it?” I said to her placing my hand on her back.

“Don’t touch me.” She said to me her face starting to get red and puffy

                I didn’t listen to her though because I hugged her and even though she squirmed in my hold I still held her. Finally she gave in and let a few tears role down her face before looking at me with sad eyes.

“After you dropped me of I found my dad standing over my mom. She had a busted lip, a bleeding temple and bruises up and down her legs. I didn’t want to break boundaries with you and Roland so I called Jaxon and I slept in his living room for two days and I plan to go back tonight.” She said seriously.

“Rowan, you don’t need to worry about overstepping boundaries with Roland and I. You know he likes you a lot and you know how I feel about you so come stay with me.” I said to her resting my hand on her shoulder.

“Alexei,” She said coming closer to me. “We almost had sex the other night and I’m not even your official girlfriend yet.” She said in a whisper so no one would hear her.

                I sighed and looked at her.

“Look. I just need to do this alright. You really need to give me some time. I’m not doing anything with Jaxon that you should be worried about. I haven’t done anything. Just let me do this okay?” She said looking into my eyes.

                I looked away from her feeling jealous still. I think, I think I actually am falling for her and she’s starting to push me away making me want to fight for her. I really cared about her and yet she wanted to distance herself from me.

“Rowan, I…” I started to say before closing my big mouth. “Okay. Just please, I am sorry we’ve been going through a lot right now but I want what we had before all of this started. I want you to feel comfortable around me again. I want to get back to that stage. Please just keep believing that we could be something great Rowan.” I said holding her hand and looking into her eyes.

                All she did was nod and then she smiled.

“So let’s get started.” She said opening the book to that page the Mr. Owens asked us to read.

                I was about to get on the bus when I saw Rowan run up to Jaxon. He was holding two coffees in his hand and when she hugged him he spun her in circles the coffee still in his hands.

                The one thing I noticed when I talked to him today was that he had a lot of tattoos. His black hair was swept to the side and his voice was threatening. He stood taller than I did and I was pretty sure he was a year older then Rowan or I was.

                I got onto the buss and sat down in a seat that I could see them from. They were walking down the side walk and stopped at a large truck. He held open her door and allowed her to get in giving her the coffees before shutting the door and making his way to his side.

                He must have sensed that someone was looking at him because before he got in he turned around and looked my way. I saw him shrug and then enter the truck and pulling out of the parking space.

                I got home and walked into the house slamming the door behind me scaring Roland. I walked back to my room without even saying hi to my brother and as soon as I closed the door I felt all this anger fill within me. I threw my backpack at the wall and then turned around punching the clear part of my wall making a hole and making my knuckles start to bleed.

“Fuck.” I said under my breath as I grabbed my hand.

                Roland opened my door and looked at me worried.

“What the hell is going on?” He yelled at me.

“It’s Rowan and her new guy friend.” I said honestly.

“What do you mean her new guy friend?” He asked suddenly upset.

                I looked at him and shrugged.

“Nothing. Just… nothing.” I said to him before walking to the restroom to clean up my knuckles.

Jaxon’s P.O.V.

                Rowan and I sat on the pull out bed watching old cartoons like Scooby-Doo, The Jetsons, even The Power Puff Girls as we ate popcorn. I could feel her laugh every time she did because she had she head on my chest and I had wrapped my arm around her side.

                She suddenly looked up at me with a bothered face and I could tell something was wrong.

“What’s on your mind Rowan?” I asked smoothing her hair down with my hand.

“I’m sorry about your encounter with Alexei. I feel really bad about that.” She said looking at me with worried eyes.

                I sighed and sat up a bit so I was closer to her.

“You don’t need to be sorry about that Rowan. You didn’t even know he was going to show up so it’s okay.” I said trying to reassure her.

“It’s not okay though Jaxon. He just doesn’t know when to stop and that pisses me off. He thinks that I’m his and, and I’m not. We were getting there and then shit hit the fan and we went back to base one. I just don’t understand why he has to go and confront you.” She said sitting up and pulling her legs close to her resting her head on her knees.

                I put her hair behind her left ear resting my hand on the back of her neck.

“Look, I’m not worried about him Rowan.” I said to her honestly. “I don’t want to put you in a bad spot that’s all.” I said kissing her on her forehead.

“Thank you Jaxon. You don’t know how much you’re truly helping me right now.” She said to me as she laid back down next to me.

                Thirty minutes later she was fast asleep even though it was only nine. I debated with myself whether or not to go back to my room or if I should just sleep here. As much as I would like to sleep here with her I knew I should probably got back to my room.

                Rowan had a lot going on right now and all I wanted to do was help her through all of it. I wanted to tell her it would be okay and I wanted to hold her tight and kiss her without her running. I am aware that I just met her literally a couple weeks ago but holy god I felt something great between us. This was the first time that I have ever felt this way about someone. Yes I have had girlfriends before her but she was just so different.

                I got up placing a pillow below her head and quietly made my way back to my room rubbing my head as I sat on the side of the bed. I laid down and pulled the covers on top of me setting the alarm for six.

                I won’t let you run.
