Maya's POV:

I breathed in then out. I was so nervous. Lucas. His mom. That night.

Someone opened the door. I turned around and saw Mr.Matthews.

"Hi." I said.

"You'll be fine." He said.

I smiled.

I arrived at school. I saw Lucas at his locker. This sucks cause I really want to avoid him but were locker neighbors.

I could just not go to my locker. But i left my history homework in there.

I could wait till he leaves.

No. Whatever.

I walked to my locker. I could feel Lucas staring at me. Of course I couldn't open my locker.

"Want help?" Lucas asked.

"Yes." I said not looking at Lucas.

I stepped out of the way and watched as he opened my locker.

"Thanks." I said.

"Maya. Look. I don't want this to be awkward between us." Lucas said.

"Me too."

"I think we should break up."

My heart just broke.

"Ok. Friends forever I guess." I said holding back my tears.

"Yeah. Bye maya." Lucas said and left.

I should have stayed home.
