Lucas' POV:

Riley and I had the same schedule.

That blonde girl was also in my history class.

Riley and I walked into the cafeteria.

I noticed the blonde girl siting at a table with her friends from this morning and some boy who was all over her.

Riley guided me to a table and we sat down.

"My other friend should be here any minute." Riley said.

"Ok." I said.

Then some kid with the weirdest hair cut ever come over to us.

"Hello Riley." The kid said.

"Farkle! This is Lucas. He is my new friend. Now you guys are friends!" Riley said smiling.

"Hey...Farkle?" I said confused.

"Lucas." Farkle said.

Who names there kid Farkle? Must be like Russian or something.

I looked to my left and I saw the blonde girl again. She glanced over at me. I smiled at her. She seemed to smile back a little.

"Hey guys. Who's that blonde girl." I asked looking at Riley and Farkle.

"Oh her. That's Maya Hart. The most popular girl in our grade." Riley said.

"But it's a new year."

"Doesn't matter. She is the hottest girl in this school. And her boyfriend, Caleb, is the most popular guy in our grade." Farkle said.

That's why he is all over her.

"Is it bad that I spilled her drink all over her this morning?" I asked.

"Uh yeah. She probably hates you now." Riley said.

"But she just smiled at me."

Riley and Farkle exchanged looks.

"She doesn't smile at any other boy except Caleb." Riley said.

"Is that bad?" I asked.

"Um. Farkle. Go show Lucas ya know." Riley said to Farkle.

Farkle walked over to Maya. That Caleb guy must have left. I could hear Farkle from here.

Please tell me he isn't a flirt!

"Hello maya." Farkle said.

Maya raised her eyebrows.

"Flirt. Get lost." Maya said.

"C'mon. I'll treat you to a movie and maybe some snuggling."

"I'd rather date the kid who spilled my drink all over me this morning."

"Ok. See ya."

Farkle came back over to us.

"She wants me." Farkle said.

All I did was laugh.
