In a distant ruin, lost in the center of a lonely forest, Darth Maul was about to deliver the killing blow on the Gungan scum. He had just knocked the Gungan's lightsaber away and slashed him across the face. The Gungan had been carrying a red lightsaber but he was not a Sith and neither did he desire to be.

"What are you doing here?" Maul shouted.

"Please sir, don't kill me. The boy, Jango, went off with you opponent Rahziid. They are planning an attack that you surely won't survive. Please, let me help you," the Gungan said. Maul considered for a moment. If what the Gungan said was true, he would need all the help he could get.

"What is your name?" asked Maul as he helped the Gungan up.

"Zephyr," said The Gungan as he wiped the blood from his face.

"Tell me all you know," said Maul.

"The boy and that man, Rahziid, mentioned something about striking back against you. I think they are bringing a group together," Zephyr replied.

"The things I do for Sidious," muttered Darth Maul. He looked at the Gungan and sighed. He should have killed Rahziid then and there, but it looked like the man wouldn't accept defeat. Next time, Rahziid would have to die, and Jango with him. Maul had already decided to dispose of Zephyr once Rahziid had been defeated. No one who presented any danger could be allowed to live. It was decided then, Rahziid, Jango and Zephyr must all die, along with anyone else who got in his way. Maul smiled and then walked off, accompanied by the unsuspecting Gungan.

It was night time on Coruscant and Sidious was drinking a glass of Naboo Wine while watching the Galactic News on TV. He had been fairly happy all day. He had won a political debate against his rivals on Alderaan, executed a Wookie Bounty Hunter on Kashyyyk and had received a large inheritance from a Muun who was supposedly his political advisor. That Muun was Plagueis, his old master. Suddenly, Sidious felt a tremor in the force. He sat up in shock. It couldn't be. Plagueis had achieved eternal life after all and had cheated death.

"Plagueis lives!" Sidious gasped.
