Chapter 23: Revelations

They had been in the Great Hall for breakfast when the parliament of owls came flooding through the windows.

Even after seeing them flooding in for years on end, they never once failed to entertain him. This time, however, there was only one letter that caught his attention.

A light green envelope with the classic Slytherin silver stamp stood out among the bland letters and pieces of parchment.

Harry, learning from his past mistakes, picked up his plates and the plates next to his with magic and left them in the air as the eagle swooped down and dropped it on the table in front of him.

The students around him watched carefully as he opened the letter. The people knew who delivered those kind of letter, but they didn't dare to ask.

Harry peeled the wax stamp off and dropped the plates back into their places with a clatter.

He pulled the letter out and his eyes scanned over the words. He then turned to the person next to him.

Lord Voldemort was a right git.

Apparently, his Death Eaters wanted to meet the 'people' that freed them from Azkaban. And apparently, he was that man. Ashe and Harry were those men.

Harry placed a charm so that all Ashe's letters would go to Harry. Even though they were the same person and the letter would go to him anyway, he wanted the charm to be there so that in the case that anyone tried to track him down they would find the charm in place.

Thank goodness for magic, y'know?

Snapping out of his disbelief, he noticed the entire school staring at him.

"Get back to your meals and leave me alone for Merlin's sake!" he yelled. It seemed that even the staff obeyed him without thinking.

He got up and left, huffing like there was no tomorrow.

"Potter!" a voice called from behind him. He turned around to find a greasy-haired git walking towards him.

"Sup, Half-Blood Prince," he said when he got near enough.

Snape's brows furrowed, "How do you know that name?" Half-Blood Prince was just a nickname that he had given himself in his 5th year to make him feel important.

He had made sure that no one had known about that.

"I know everything...Sevvy-" Before he could finish that sentence, he found himself under a Silencing Charm.

He quickly undid the charm and shot a glare at the smug Professor.

"I'll get you back for that one," he said straightening out his robes, "What do you want, anyway?"

"The Dark Lord asked me to tell you that it would be at 6 tomorrow,"

"Ok," he replied before gesturing for the Potion's Master to come nearer.

Reluctantly, he did so and Harry whispered something in his ear, "Malfoy and Zabini are listening, let's give them a scare,"

Snape nodded and then Harry held out his arm for Snape to hold onto.

Reluctantly, he grabbed onto his arm and within a few seconds, they were behind the eavesdropping Slytherins. Harry had been working on a method of instant transportation called shadow-stepping. It was like apparition but it would take an incredibly strong magical core to perform and only a handful of people knew of its existence.

Snape raised a questioning eyebrow at Harry and he shrugged.

They looked at the boys as they peered around at the corner that they were at before. They snuck up behind them.

"Who are you listening to?" Harry whispered, making them jump.

Snape and Harry stepped back and their eyebrows raised in unison.

They regained their composure and the two boys, not knowing what to do, just ran off.

A few moments later, Harry burst out laughing and Snape chuckled.

"Ah, Ashe," Tom began, "Welcome, welcome, I'm sure you know Bellatrix, Rodolpus and Rabastan," he gestured to the people sitting around a round table.

Ashe nodded in reply and sat down next to Rabastan.

Bellatrix whispered something to the Dark Lord and he chuckled.

"The man who broke you out shall be arriving shortly-,"

"Actually," he interrupted ignoring the shocked glares from the Lestranges, "He is already here..."

Tom raised an eyebrow, "How so?"

Without so much as a second of warrnjng, his clothes along with his body morphed into that of combat robes fit for a smaller frame, a hood still covering his head.

He pulled down his hood and everyone at the table's eyes widened comically except the Lesranges' (Rodolphus, Rabastan and Bellatrix) who had their wands pointed at him.

"I'd really rather not talk about it. Can we continue now?"
Voldemort raised an eyebrow and then began to clap slowly, "Bravo, Potter, Bravo,"

"My Lord!" Bellatrix shouted, "It is the Potter-boy,"

"I am well aware of that, Bellatrix," he nodded amusedly.

"Are you going to kill him?" she asked, hopeful.

"As much as I admire your bloodlust, Bellatrix, the Potter-boy was the one to break you out."

The Lestranges lowered their wands, still confused and the rest of the people at the table gave them a knowing look.

Ignoring their confusion, Tom spoke again, "Still wish'd you told we before but-"

"Let's not dwell on that. You don't always get what you want. Now carry on with the meeting before I leave."

Severus stared at him in disbelief, not even trying to hide it. Malfoy just realized that two of the people he feared the most were one person. It was hard for his head to wrap around it.

His eyes first rested on Severus, who was gripping onto the handles of his chair for dear life. He would have to use Legilimency later; find out what kind of emotions the man was confused by.

"Good evening, Lucius," he greeted sticking a hand out to him. Lucius fainted and fell out of his chair.

"Severus, come on, old boy, I said I'd get you back."

"No!" he sneered.

"What? What is it?" Bellatrix asked eagerly, confused at why they were being friendly with their greatest enemy.

"Severus, if you won't tell them, I will," he laughed.

"Come on, spit it out," Rabastan added.

"Severus?" he put his head on the table in reply.

"Very well, you leave me no choice, Sevvykins!"

The whole room burst out into cackles. Snape pulled out his wand and sent hexes and curses in Harry's direction before getting up to leave.

"Ah, ah, ah, Sevvykins, we have a meeting to get to," Voldemort reminded.

Very reluctantly, he sat back in his seat like a child throwing a tantrum.

"You're dead, Potter," he said with a movement of slicing his neck.

"Now, now, Severus, let us leave the death threats to Bellatrix, shall we?" Voldemort held back a grin.

They continued the meeting as usual and Lucius woke up only to faint again, to everyone's amusement. Harry woke the man up and after fainting a couple more times, he regained a grip on his surroundings.

Lucius went pale every time he looked in Harry's direction.

For the rest of the meeting, they talked about whatever raid they were planning and Harry managed to contribute quite a lot.

Before Harry left, he was pulled into a hug by none other than the notorious murderer and torturer, Bellatrix Lestrange.

"Thank you," she whispered as she pulled away and walked to Voldemort, slightly teary-eyed. Rabastan and Rodolphus then gave him a handshake.

He sent a stinging hex at Bellatrix causing her to look at him confused.

"I'm still mad about the Longbottoms," he replied shrugging.

She nodded knowingly.

"You coming, Professor?" he stuck his hand out to the man. Severus nodded and held onto his arm.

: Goodbye, Tom he hissed before disappearing.

Severus and Harry bid farewell outside of Snape's office and Harry made his way to the common room. He decided to take a walk the long way around the castle and that was when he bumped into none other than the Weasley Twins.

"Hey, Harry,"

"We saw,"

"You on"

"The map,"

"With Snape,"

"And we were,"

"wondering what,"

"You were doing with,"

"The Cave,"

"Bat,"

"So late at night," they finished together.

"Sorry, confidential," he shrugged

"Come on,"

"Tell us,"

"Please," they pleaded.

"If I tell you, I'll have to kill you,"

"Never mind then," they shook their heads in unison.

"Another question..."

"How did you,"

"And Snape appear,"

"Out of nowhere,"

"Sorry, confidential,"

"Where were you?"

"We couldn't,"

"See you, "

"On the,"

"Entire,"

"Map!"

"Sorry, confidential," he apologized.

"You're,"

"No,"

"Fun," they turned and left.

Harry walked down to the dungeons slowly and eventually found himself entering the common room. He found a few older people still in the common room studying.

"Hey there!" one of them called, she was a brown-haired, blue-eyed girl, sitting with a group of Slytherins, "You're taking OWLs this year aren't you?"

He nodded.

"So are we, come and sit, we can study together,"

"Sure," he shrugged, pulling out a roll of parchment and a quill and ink from his combat robe's pocket.

He sat down at the table that they were at and started writing out an essay for Potions.

"Sorry excuse me, but what is with the outfit?" a boy at the table said eyeing his peculiar robes.

"Oops, sorry," he waved his hands over the robes and changed them into school robes.

"WOW!" they shouted in unison, "How did you do that?"

He shrugged, "Magic?"

Needless to say, he was by far the smartest at the table and managed to tutor them and soon, more Slytherins plucked up the courage to ask him for help.

He graciously accepted and before he knew it, he was running a revision class for all of the older years in the common room.

He was quite the teacher. He learnt that when he led the DA but this time it was different. He wasn't doing it for someone else. This was out of his own will and it felt good.

His housemates seemed to be getting it and a few struggled but they easily caught up. He even held a small practical lesson.

By the end, they were thanking him profusely and then he asked if they wanted to do this again.

He got a positive response and he agreed to make it a weekly revision session where the entire house could come together and study.

The next week, he managed to enlarge the room where they had a few big tables for reading and writing as well as a few 'safe zones' where they could practice charms or spells. In the end, he was proud of himself.

Over the next few weeks, he found that all of their grades increased like never before and all of them thanked Harry.

***

"Congratulations on your grades, Miss Greengrass," Minerva smiled, "I must say that you have shown quite the improvement the past few weeks,"

She blushed and thanked the Professor, "Thank you but it was all Potter,"

"Lord Potter?" she asked, curiously.

"The one and only, he has been holding tutoring sessions for the whole House on Thursdays every week, he is a good teacher,"

"I see," she raised an eyebrow, smiling, "If you excuse me, Miss Clearwater," she said going up to Professor Flitwick.

"Ah, Minerva," he squeaked, "To what do I owe the pleasure?"

"I believe I might have found you just the person for the teaching assistant job, Filius"

"Who might that be?" he asked intrigued.

Another Chapter, sorry if it's not up to standard but I have been racking my brain for ideas and this is what it came up with.

Hope you like it!
